Titans' Bodene Thompson buffs up


MEET the new buffed body of the Titans. Bodene Thompson, the barnstorming forward with a bit of puppy fat, is no more.

The fearsome runner will have one of the more ripped bodies at the Titans' beach recovery sessions this season after he stripped an impressive 9kg from his frame during the off season.

CC understands Thompson got stuck into a boxing regimen that led to his new toned figure. The training included a charity bout at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in December and word has it Thompson showed enough ability to switch codes if he wanted to.

Not that he was ever Porky Pig, but Thompson's new figure comes as coach John Cartwright is set to step up his presence in the first grade team.

Thompson will tip the scales around the 100kg mark after he joined the club at 112kg in 2008.
