Speed men hit the skids at Gold Coast

I was reading this article in Rugby League Week. It had a couple of pieces of information about players leaving at the end of this year. I thought I'd pass them on.

Ben Jeffery. The article says he is pretty much quitting NRL. "Ben will probably get on with the rest of his life and play country football near Griffith and do a carpenter's trade."

Brenton Bowen. The article says he is keen to head back to North Queensland, and his manager has spoken with Parr, but it hasn't gotten past the initial stages.

Chris Walker. No new contract offer for Walker from the Titans, which we already knew. There is something from Bruno Cullen though, saying the Broncos have no interest in signing him.

Brett Delaney. Delaney will definitely not be offered another contract for next year, something we all pretty much knew anyway. It does have a comment from Searle that Delaney was offered a four year contract earlier this year and knocked it back.

I remember when he was offered a 4 year deal but he knocked it back , Penrith had been the front runners to sign him but i heard they had pulled out the only clubs showing any interest were Souths & Manly but there are No 4 year deals on offer , i also heard he regrets not resigning with the 4 year offer from the Titans

He needs to play his **** off for the rest of the Season to secure his future ........ somewhere
