2009 Select NRL Classic cards thread

There will be a new series of NRL cards to hit the Newspaper shops by the end of the month. They are called 2009 Selest NRL Classic.

They feature:

195 premium card base set
96 card holographic jersey die cut set 1 per pack
16 card Club player of the year 08 set 1:8 packs
9 card Team of the year 08 1:18 packs
12 card Double Trouble acetate card set 1:72 packs
16 card Premiership Predictors redemption set 1:36 packs
16 card Top prospects signatures set 1:36 packs limited edition of 300 each player
6 card Captains signature redemption set 1:576 packs limited edition of 50 each player.

The cost of these cards will be $4.99

They are a premium set so the insert cards in this set will be worth collecting. There is only 300 cases of these cards printed. I have done the maths on it and it means that there is 4800 boxes. This equates to approx 7000 sets only. Once they are sold out, that is it, they are gone.

I heard they were sold out already. Where are you getting yours from?

With only 300 cases it will be hard to find these cards. There are only 4800 boxes sold. In the past they have been sold at Newsagencies. I bet there would be way more than 4800 newsagencies in both NSW and QLD. My hint is, "If you see them, and you want to collect them, Buy them."

I found some packs today in a newsagency and had the most amazing luck you could get.

Out of the 12 packs that I bought 5 of them had insert cards.

St George Dragons Double Trouble card, approx $60

Johnathon Thurston Captain Signature redemption card 1:576 pack and there are only 50 of them made. They are estimated at about $750 - $1000
