Titans rest easy over Minichiello injury

The Gold Coast have received some good news with scans clearing forward Mark Minichiello of a serious ankle injury.

It was feared the younger brother of Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello could miss the rest of the season after leaving the field in considerable pain against Manly at the weekend

But scans late on Monday cleared the 27 year-old of a recurrence of serious ligament damage to his syndesmosis, an injury which can take two to three times longer than an ankle sprain to heal.

Minichiello could even be fit to play for the Titans in their next NRL game against the Dragons on June 8 with a bye this weekend.

Oh this is fantastic news. I didn't really want to see the Titans play without Mini. Great news. Best of luck getting back on the field soon.

Also I do think Anthony is one of the best rugby league players I have ever seen. But to me Mark is the #1 Minichiello

That is just awesome news! He really helped us on the weekend against manly even though he didnt play as long as he normally does! Hes been in sensational form the last two years and is truly a great bloke off the field.
