Default Ian Donnelly to the Sharks

Cronulla Sharks add former Gold Coast Titans prop Ian Donnelly
    April 07, 2009

Cronulla have bolstered their undermanned squad with the signing of former Gold Coast Titans prop Ian Donnelly.
Donnelly was granted an immediate release from the final year of his contract with the Titans on Tuesday, freeing him to join the Sharks.

Injuries and suspension have decimated the Sharks this season with skipper Paul Gallen one of three players suspended by the judiciary on Tuesday.

Donnelly's addition covers for the loss of Ben Ross, who was ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a neck injury in his side's opening round win over Penrith.

Hope the Sharks give Donnelly a good run, he came to the Coast hopeing to get a spot in first grade but didn't make the cut with all the other talented front rowers we have.

Best of luck to you Ian!

Good luck Ian. We have plenty of depth in the front row and it was likely he would never play first grade again at the Titans.

He found it hard to get in side at Storm and then Titans, unfortunately just a prop,i hope he gets a good go at Sharks and proves his worth to them.as they are very low on troops, also frees up some money for Titans to put towards our little prop Friend,
