Mead out injured, but good to see it giving White a shot. Definitely a tough backline to break into!

    Premiers Produce Quality Display

PAUL Bramley?s reign with South Logan already includes a stunning premiership but the Magpies coach rates their 44-18 victory over Tweed Heads as one of the club?s most ?complete? performances since his tenure began.

Rocked by the previous weekend?s round one capitulation to the Central Comets, the defending premiers dominated from start to finish on their way to a convincing round two victory at Meakin Park.

Even before a ball was kicked, Bramley could sense the Magpies were about to produce something special.

?As soon as I walked out of our pre-game meeting I said to my manager ?they (Tweed) will have to be good to beat us?,? Bramley revealed.

?That?s the most switched on I?ve seen the players.?

Five-eighth Josh McCrone was outstanding for the Magpies, and Bramley believes it is only a matter of time before the playmaker?s skills are on display in the NRL with the Canberra Raiders.

McCrone scored a try and booted five goals in Saturday?s big victory.

The Magpies entered the match without gun hooker Matt King, who dislocated his shoulder in the loss to the Comets.

King may yet undergo a shoulder reconstruction which could rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Paul Stanley, a regular in FOGS Cup for the Magpies, came into the side for King.

The disruption didn?t hinder the Magpies, who were simply ruthless against a talented Seagulls outfit.

The Tweed line-up featured a host of Titans talent, including Daniel Conn and Shannon Walker.

Walker scored a spectacular long range try after fielding a kick from deep inside his own territory.

?Apart from that we shut him out of the game,? Bramley said.

Meanwhile, the Redcliffe Dolphins overcame the late withdrawal of experienced forward Danny Burke to crush the Burleigh Bears at Pizzey Park today.

Burke was set to play his 200th Queensland Cup match for the Dolphins but hand and knee injuries prevented him from reaching the milestone.

The Dolphins scored an incredible 28 unanswered points in the second half to clinch an impressive 32-6 win, their first of the season.

Winger Mitch Rivett scored two tries, while Liam Georgetown contributed 10 points from a try and three goals.
