It's a friendly competition. If we can get teams organised, then we can look at getting some rules in place to keep it entertaining. Things like "one hand, one bounce" for cricket. Stuff to make it fun and not too serious.

OK, Sunday 30th it is!

I've been giving this a lot of thought, and IMO the best way to make this happen is to organise our own teams. I'm thinking teams of 10 should be enough for a 7-a-side game with 3 subs, and it's close to a cricket team. I would like to get 4 teams, so we can play a round robin type comp.

How does that sound?

Why dose it have to be a comp why cant it be stright out FUN DAY and we can just decide who plays where on the day....

Wen we play touch on sat we all just walk out there and we all fall in to place why not that way it is all fun........

Yep, and when we play touch we just wait and see who turns up. Usually not enough for a full team with subs. It's not a competiton. For those of you who don't realise it, when you play with your friends on any day, you still actually play in teams. That's the way team sport generally works.

Anyway, just trying to get some "freindly" competition going, so people will commit to it. It's just an idea to get more people involved. If you nominate a team, then that's 10 people who will hopefully commit to it. Sounds like a good way to get numbers involved. That's all.

Just to clarify, so there is no confusion;

This is going to be a fun, friendly, family day. Everyone is a winner. I'll bring enough lollypops so no one misses out!

It is not a competition, except as a freindly rivalry, as with any games we play.

Anyone and everyone is invited and encouraged to play. If we go with the teams idea, anyone can start or join any team, until it is maxxed out at 10 people. This is just an idea to try and get more people involved and have a bit of organisation and structure. That is all! No sheep stations!

As far as teams go, obviously no one will be left out. I'm only using it as a base for organisation. It is fluid and not set in stone. just an idea guys!

Rules are flexible and open to interpretation. eg. as a Father and part of a Gerry team, I think we should be allowed to use our kids as subs/ring-ins. That should be a rule! Big-D can then be used to give Titan Pete a rest and we can run him at White Folau!

Everyone should post and be part of this. Throw your name in, come up with some good rules, some good ideas and let's make this an awesome day for everyone!

I argree the main thing is that we get to know the numbers and being a sunday im hoping alot off MUM and DADS dont have to work and that they will be no kids stuff on sunday .....
