Like many others I had little interest in this GF rematch.........until the Storm started whingeing about getting 2 weeks for a 4-6 week grapple tackle. :dizzy: Among other Storm whingeing BS!

Not to mention how good it was that Beaver, one of the last true and decent, loyal players in the game, deserved to go out a winner, and the Storm deserved to go home as the biggest GF losers in the history of Rugby League!

But what I enjoyed most about the day was the first 2 games. No video ref, decisions made on the spot and mainly correct, no BS constant appealing for penalties, and golden point that was decided with tries! If anyone, ever wants to ask how Rugby League could be a better sport, just show them those two games in their entirety and use that as the blueprint. The 2 best games of RL I have watched all year.

My two favourite games of the series were both Bronco games...the first against a tough Rooster pack and the second against a strong Melbourne side.

It's a shame Manly didn't play any hard teams. (stupid Mckintyre system)

Slater almost saved a try by sliding in with his leg, the one in the corner where he caught his arm was unintentional and is just part of a contact sport.

Slater is a grub. Likes to lay into people being held by two of his team mates (Jason Nightingale). Likes to slide in "studs up" to try and stop tries. Succesfully did it against the Broncos. Looking back, I'm glad he did, because it allowed us all to enjoy the vision of them losing 40-0. But honestly, it is a dog tactic and should be outlawed. And the explosion from Bellamy if Slater was suspended for it would be worth the admission price!

Just incase u missed it 40-0

In all, the Sea Eagles breached Melbourne's line eight times. Winger Michael Robertson finished with a hat-trick and could have scored four had he not spotted "Beaver" Menzies on his right shoulder late in proceedings.
