Lara only needs about 12 to get the record which with the way he's batting the record should fall quite early in the day. Hopefully we might see a competitive test match yet.

Great knock from Lara - The Windies need another 100 runs though to make this game a contest. 350-400 will simply not be enough. Hopefully they will make 45- 500.

Welcome to Where Time Stands Still.....
It is AWESOME to see the Windies doing well and competing with Australia. Congrats to Lara on the 200, great stuff. Hopefully we will get the record, he deserves it! Other than Bradman, I believe Lara is the best of all time.
It was awesome to watch - what class!
Welcome to Where Time Stands Still.....
Well I missed the majority of yesterday's play and I am dirty on missing a great knock from B. C. Lara - how is Mark Waugh feeling this morning

Brian Lara just beaten Allan Borders record. Congrats to Brian Lara
Lara just got out for 226 Brilliant display of batting and a true champion
Brian Lara is out.. bowled McGrath.. what an innings though.. well done mate and Congrats on being the highest runscorer in Cricket.. ..
I really should go turn over to watch it....
Good knock by the prince
He really needed a big score under his belt and has just done it
Now is the highest run scorer in test cricket
How long can he keep going for ?
Lara will play at least until the end of the World Cup - after that is anyone's guess.
Another 'goose-bump' moment in sport for myself - what a moment and it was great to see the Aussie team walk over and give him a handshake.
After some really dodgy decisions against him this summer, this is the way Brian Lara should be remembered by Australian cricket fans.
Well done Brian Lara - I have said it before, the batsmen I would pay the most to see when it top form. Sadly I missed this innings when it would of been free

Australia got off to a flyer.. nearly a run a ball at the start of their innings before Collymore came in and along with Bravo quieten the pace down..
Australia going OK though..shame about the late stumble of losing Ponting and Langer in close proximity.. but we are still in a strong position.

Poor Langer missing out on his ton.
At this stage the Aussies are still in control, Langer made the mistake of playing the scoreboard & paid the penalty. He should've kept playing the same way he was that bought the other 99 runs. It was certainly an enthralling day's play, hopefully day 3 can bring some more entertainment.
Mcgill Goooooooooooonnne and Hussey gets his 100. Brillient innings by Hussey
