To be honest, the trip was expensive if you could book it yourself and do it cheaper.
Making money off it isn't something the club seems like it would do. When they say 'for the fans' I really believe they mean it. As Doug said, the flights could have been cheaper. $99 each way doesn't cut it, for the one or two times a tour is organised, they should be giving free flights (by free I mean we only pay the taxes) on the Titans plane.
The hotel rates were more than the hotel quoted on their website, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pumped their rates for the group booking, or possibly that included the costs for the function or the game day ticket.
The biggest problem with the whole trip is the NRL scheduling, or lack of it.
We need to know it all months in advance to organise getting to games, both on our own and with the club.
Still, any feedback the club had re: prices or including the southern legion (surely they could at least buy tickets to the function) might help for next time.
I suggest a Penrith trip next year. There's a big swathe of seats that they never sell for some reason (I think it's allocated seating in what was once GA), it shows up on tv, and the Titans colours would show up very well amidst all the black.
And if that happens, I'll consider wearing Titans gear.
