NICE work, Sydney: you're poised to fill ANZ Stadium for the State of Origin decider. Well, that's the forecast with 65,000 tickets already sold and up to 1500 going per day with 13 days to go. With the teams yet to be picked and the pre-game hype not expected to crank up until next week, officials are privately confident every one of the 82,000 seats will have a bottom on it for the July 2 match. Maybe it's a clear response to claims from NSWRL chief executive Geoff Carr that Sydney could lose matches if locals don't start turning up to marquee games. It's not just the nose-bleeds available, though, with Category 1 tickets still on sale. Apparently, 2000 tickets were snapped up between kick-off in Origin II and midnight after it became evident the Maroons would send the series into a decider.
