Good to see Jennings back in the centres. He was lost playing out of position on the wing last week.

Sammut trained as halfback all off season, played at halfback in the trials, then gets dropped onto the bench then into 5/8 for the first round, with Williams denying him the ball for the time he was on. Good to see him in the 7. He's a ****y little bastard and he'll get up the players and direct them around the park. I doubt he'll be overawed by the responsibility.

I don't know if it's the forwards being lazy or some tactic from Elliott, but the forwards need to take the hit ups, not let the wingers and centres do it all. Maybe it was to stop the big guys tiring out too quick in the midday Queensland sun, but it backfired whatever was going on.

I think Penrith will improve on last week, but the forwards need to stand up and be counted, something that hasn't happened in a while.
Canberra have this in the bag.

    Looks like Linc is out

100 straight games the little trooper played, top effort it was.

I'm going Panthers on this one...nothing in it! Panthers home side advantage does it for me though!

Tough to pick a winner out of 2 losers. I have zero confidence in both of these lot and expect a sloppy, unattractive game. Lucky its the 5:30 game and not the delayed 9:30 broadcast, there's more chance I won't nod off during the match with the sun up and a smaller amount of booze in me. No guarantees though.

Leaning towards the Raiders, but the fact they have to travel worries me.

Judging by the Panthers last weekend, you and I could sink more than a few drinks, then run out on the field 2 vs 13 and run in a win.

If I hadn't invited the lads around for a BBQ tonight I might have taken you up on it. Love to give Pritchard a bell ringer.

I'm more looking forward to the NYC Panthers v Raiders before it. Good juniors for both sides, should probably show up the NRL boys for a watchable match.

This is one for the purists. Even fans might struggle to maintain interest.

TBH, this might actually turn into a good tussle, but who wants to stay up late to take that slim chance? Ok if you've got Fox.

**edit** there are NO games on free-to-air tonight. **

Has there been footy on FTA on Saturday in the last decade? With the exception of finals.

LOL, I'm all ****d about by Easter. All I'm really worried about is Monday, but it feels like yesterday was Sunday and tomorrow is Saturday. Monday night footy isn't FTA anyway.

Don't mind me, I'm just losing my mind in the privacy of my own home....:dizzy:

Don't worry, DIEHARD has planned ahead and taken into account that years of footy, boozing and the fact that we're generally a bunch of dopes might effect our ability to keep track of the days, and come up with this

Everyone is predicting a crap game but I have a feeling it's going to be a high scoring exciting game

I have money on Luke Priddis scoring the first try and a HT/FT bet for draw/Penrith

Penriths defence has started off where it ended up last week

Zillman strolled 70 metres through a non existant defence for the 1st try
