How can you forget Sheens? Arguably the best coach in the game.
What went wrong with Elliott?

Serious question -What creates the right environment to succeed as a coach?

Does Canberra have the right environment or were those guys already on the way to be great coaches?

Personally, I think it is the unique culture that is at the Raiders club.. This unique culture comes from a unique town. Especially now in the past few years that the club is back in the hands of the Furner's instead of News Limited..

It is also a VERY close playing/management group down here..

I think it also helps that none of the big Sydney Media outlets seem to care about Canberra, so tend to be out of sight which means they don't feel as much pressure of the media hounding them for a story.

Elliott was someone who played on the Sydney Media perception that we had a sh!Thouse roster, he used it as an excuse to hide some of his innept coaching methods, and what do you know 12 months down the track eh struggled big time at Penrith when he was under the Microscope and couldn't use the roster as an excuse.

Any information that I have discussed in relation to Wayne Bennett at the Broncos (not a team I support) is already in the press here in Qld including discussions on who the Broncos want as their next coach next year 2009 and after 2010.

If people don't like to discuss this topic because they support another club and think that any alternative to their opinion is stupid so be it but to suggest I take drugs is offensive!

fact is I think Craig Bellamy is very much in the Broncos eye as their next long term Coach (maybe not next year as he has a legally binding contract - but after that we already know from the press he will be chased!- one eyed supporters of the Storm may disagree but hey the real Geoffrey is a one eyed supporter of Wests in Brisbane and I respect him !)
