It was a pretty generalised statement about horror films. And I'll be the first to admit I haven't explored a wide enough range give an opinion on the genre as a whole. But I'm not even remotely interested in watching a film to get a fright, which is probably why I haven't sourced out any of the 'good n propper' horror movies.

Getting a fright or being forced to think too much isn't what movies and TV are about for me, for the most part. Just not relaxing for me, which is what I wanna do when I watch TV and movies. The most work I'm interested in putting is transferring the pop corn to my gob and keeping up with the story line. On rare occasions I'll watch a movie that kicks the brain into gear and gets me thinking though.

They always take things too far with movies like American Pie. Instead of taking it for what it was, they push and pull and extract every laugh for sequel upon sequel until they kill the legacy completely.

Love The Godfather trilogy. Could watch them a million times - wear out the DVDs

Noones mentioned Scarface one of the most legendary movies ever. I love casino and Goodfellas too.

Comedies are my favourite type of movie- ones like American Psycho, Old School, Cable Guy (how people dont find it funny is beyond me).
American pie 1-4 are good, they're the kind of movies you can see over and over.

I dont know what genre these would be in but The Basketball Diaries and American History X are great movies also.

Might aswell throw in my favourite actors: Christian Bale and Leo Di Caprio.

How I forgot that I'll never know! Love that movie! Could probably put the DVD in, chuck the telly on mute and do the voices myself I've seen it that many times.

I dont really watch horror for the "frights" i havent been scared during a movie since i was 10, you get used to it. I try look for the goreist, craziest mental horror films there are. Also ones that make you think are a plus. Even some underground films like cannibal feroux (sp) and august undergrounds mordum which was banned in many countries, and the makers were even forced into court to prove the actors in the film werent actually killed, thats how crazy and real it looked.
