Went something like this:
Young boy was attacked by a dog in a park in Melbourne.
Local reporter turns up, sets up his camera, grabs the little boy to be in shot, and starts to speak "Young Collingwood player was today visiously attacked by a dog"
The little boy stops him "Hey im not a Collingwood player"
Reporter replies "sorry let me start again"
"Young St Kidla player was today visiously attacked by a dog"
The little boy stops him again "Hey, im not a St Kilda player either"
Reporter stops and asks him what AFL team he does play for?
The little fella replies, "Im going to play for the storm"
The reporter pauses then starts to speak into the camera again
"Family pet, abused by Rugby league hooligan"
We have a similar one in Qld.
Reporter: "Little Broncos supporter attacked by viscious dog"
Boy: I am not a Broncos supporter
Reporter: Ok then little Qld Maroons supporter attacked by viscious dog
Boy: I am not a Maroons supporter.
Reporter: Right then little Lions supporter attacked by viscious dog
Boy I don't support the Lions either.
Reporter: Well who do you support?
Boy: I am from NSW and love the Blues
Reporter: Little Blue mongrel bashes beloved family pet.
It's great to see the great crowd behaviour from Doggies supporters over the past 12 months. I've been to 2 Dogs vs Cowboys games this year and have not seent he slightest bit of troublesome behaviour, although a middle aged Doggies supporter in front of us on Saturday night seemed a little angry at times. She was good value though.
i got two words to say to them
bloody druggos
GOLD COAST TITANS 08 "THATS MY TEAM"
All I can say is that the idiots are not representative of Broncos supporters
It's pretty sad to see really - but why was the cameraman not assisting the reporter??? :duh:
I can think of a couple of reasons...
He might not have been able to help much in trying to fight off 6 thugs, so he instead decided to try and get the idiots on camera so that they can easily be chased up later. As soon as things starting taking a turn for the worse, he ditches the camera, and helps him out. That's when the camera goes belly-up.
these people arent fans they are a bunch of tools who ruin it for us.
i hope ben is ok ive spoken to him a few times at red hill and he seems like a genuinely nice bloke.
im one way i can understand why the cameraman took a while to help to get a description for the police
by reading some articles on the net apparently this is not the 1st time this has happened in melbourne. the cameraman & soundman were bashed outside olympic park by drunken hooligans a few years back
Regardless of the incident i don't think any attack on a reporter doing his or her job deserves to be assaulted, and can you imagine the outrage if they were doggies supporters, but they weren't they were Bronco supporters and naturaly the Brisbane Club will be protected from media scrutiny, Brisbane and their supporters are protected speices in Brisvegas and QLD as a whole. As i referred to if they had been doggies fans Canterbury-Bankstown would now be facing a $20,000 fine for bringing the game into disrepute.
that is a cowardly act and somethin should be done
