The NYC Brisbane Broncos (8th) will host the Gold Coast Titans (16th) tonight at Suncorp Stadium to kick off a rivalry round with the Broncos looking to jump start their finals run.
The Broncos have snuck into eighth position on the ladder after the bye and will welcome back a host of experience with Dane Gagai, Dale Copley and Lachlan Maranta all returning to the backline for the local derby.
Broncos Coach Kurt Richards will be hoping the added strike power will give his side the edge over the Titans after registering only one win in their past five games.
Matt Smith will be missed in the front row for the Broncos but the timely return of Anthony Mullally will cover the prop stocks with Stephen Coombe to start the game.
The Titans will also welcome back some experience with Jordan Rankin returning to fullback after a few games in the NRL pushing Shaun Carney to the wing.
Titans Coach Rod Patison’s only other change to his side that went down 31 – 18 to the Warriors last week is Sam Meskell back on the bench with Tom Dawney to miss out.
There will be plenty to play for in the local derby for the Titans who have only won two games this season and will be looking to get one over their ‘big brother’.
