Yes they did handle it with class but sometimes I agree with the expression about nice guys finishing last. Personally I would have fronted the press conference with a copy of the contract with DCE's signature on it and been waving it around.
I am still trying to work out how Henry got a call from DCE at 10.40am and found out that way and Annesley said he found out about 12.30pm. Odd- something missing there, not that it matters now.

I agree a classy response stating the implications of that Manly player (whose name is mud) decision on the club. It is another set back but let's get on with it. With a bit in the cap we should still be able to recruit some experience to help LG.

I wonder if we can apply to the NRL to have Greg Bird a one game allowance for the Manly game ??? Say to Bird that the game against Manly will dictate if we keep you or not!!!

Kinda off-topic, but it doesn't deserve its own thread, I've read several times on the Silvertails forum that Toovey is going to get the boot and Cartwright will be the interim coach until Barrett takes over. I realize he'd only be the coach for all of twenty minutes, and would be secured to a gurney like Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs so that he couldn't interact with the players in any way, BUT - wow - there's a certain cosmic karma in that.
