Big Brother 2012! It's back!
Ah yes... finally it is back! Looking forward to it.
Not so much Channel 9's desperate "Shufflin" ad campaign to connect with Gen Y.
I've given up my aspirations to be on the show though...
Anyone watching this?
Its hard cause Im overseas. But getting bits here and there.
Oh hey, here is a bit of trivia.
Im mates with BIG BROTHER! Used to work with him on a TV program a few years ago. He is the man!
i like it :)
waiting for it to get interesting first, but some of the people on there you wouldn't waste your breath to even talk to.
I crashed the original Big Brother wrap/after party, the one where Ben won and Blair came second. I worked at the Casino at the time, was rostered on the night of the wrap which was held in the convention rooms, so I armed myself with a clipboard to look official, and took a few newspaper clippings in with me and got every one to sign them. Still have them. I spent about an hour chatting with Ben, giving him all the latest Rugby and sports updates etc. A good bloke.
Then i ended up in the back of a Limousine with 3 of the girls from that series a bit later, having a laugh and a bit of a chat. Good times!
Big brother is ****...
I was hoping Bradley would go cause I think his story is done with.
While Ryan causes alot of drama and even more so with Ben.
Pretty funny about the fake House 2.
Here is another story about me and my involvement with Big Brother.
During the series of 2006 I was working as a service technician for a company and I had to go into the Big Brother house while the series was running to do a maintenance fix on an appliance in the kitchen that was programmable with time and date, and the housemates were using it to know what the time and date was.
Anyway, I had to go in early morning, had to do a big security/safety briefing, had a minder with me at all times, had to be really quiet with tools, talking etc as the housemates were in "lockdown" in the bedroom and might hear us, and a few other things like not leaving any clues that anything had been done etc.
Anyway, while I was in the kitchen, looking around at all the cool items that would be awesome souvenirs I asked the guy if I could sip something into my tool-case for my 12 year old daughter and he said, "just to let you know you've got a whole production crew, including camera and sound technicians with nothing to do right now, and they are all watching what you are doing", so I thought that might be the end of that.
When we were finished and outside, he said, "Wait here" and he ducked off for a few minutes. He came back with some odd looking weird green plastic contraption, and I said, "what's this" and he says, "don't you watch the show?" and I said, "no, not really" and he says "it's the watering can they use in the veggie garden".
Looked pretty weird to me, definitely an unusual souvenir, but I can assure you my daughter was pretty excited when I turned up with it after work that day!
And there is a follow up story to this one, about my appearance on Rove Live, but that's for another day..... :D
Brad, obviously the "voice" of BB cannot be up 24/7, and there is another "stand-in" occasionally, but is the "voice" the person in control, or is he just a voice? As in, is he the producer of the show, or do they have a voice over type to do the talking as instructed? Or is it a trade secret?
