I feel for Brendan Piakura, he is still 18 months away from his contract ending and his name is being thrown about in the media as being an NRL team's saviour.
Outstanding talent to be sure, but the poor guy must be wondering what is happening with all of the media hype that is going on.
An interesting player lining up for the TSS U16A side in their trial on Saturday is Blake Ruaporo who will start at outside centre against Nudgee.
The Coomera Cutters junior is currently associated with another NRL club but he is a name I am sure that the Titans will keep an eye on.
@mdrew Here's an update on Mitchell Wood playing Brisbane Premier colts at Wests.

Thank you very much. He is talented young man
PBC's Langer Cup school boy winger Xavier Savage will line up for the Tugun Seahawks on the wing in Round Three of the GCRL First Grade competition tomorrow afternoon against the Currumbin Eagles.
When in space, the young man can really move.
He may be out for this weeks Round Two GPS school boy rugby First XV match for TSS but if you are wanting to see an outstanding strike centre it is impossible to go past 17 year old Gold Coast youngster Jojo Fifita who in Round One last weekend scored four tries as the TSS First XV defeated Brisbane State High School 49-19.
He is a rugby player but heck it would be great to see him in rugby league.
The Brisbane Grammar School First XV school boy rugby side certainly has a Gold Coast flavour to it this season with Titan Vaikai and Xavier Collins the two props, John-Thomas Manuofetoa the No. 8 and Kruze Rimene the No. 10.
You can add No. 12 Campbell Watchirs who is a NSW recruit from the mid north coast.
The 2021 Western Mustangs Hastings Deering's Colts side have snared a very good player in New Zealand (Canterbury) recruit Jordan Coleman.
The young fullback has been a star in New Zealand for a number of seasons, including representing NZ U18's and with a good 2021 season will no doubt be on the radar of NRL clubs.
Mdrew does the titans still have a link with the western mustangs?
I have been lucky enough to see a bit of footage of Ohbion Rawiri who in 2020 played for the Ellenbrook Rabbitohs in the U14 Western Australian competition. Devestating is the only word that I can think of that describes the powerful young man.
I have no doubt that at some stage an NRL club will come calling and bring the elite talent over to the east coast.
The Titans could do far worse than look at Helensvale Hogs U13 rugby half/fullback Kobi Nouanrasy who scored a double this morning for the Hogs who went down 28 - 24 in the first match of the Queensland King of the Country Tournament that is currently being held on the Gold Coast.
Hogs left winger Junior Siaunuua also looked very good, scoring one try and setting up another.
They may have lost their first match of the U13 Queensland King of the Country Tournament but the Gold Coast Invitational side had some players who would look very good in league, including tall stepping fullback VJ Letalu, Marsden State High School's Storm Enoka from Coomera and three try second half outside centre Tawa-Dean Simpkins.
