Gold Coast Titans vs South Sydney Rabbitohs
I'm expecting a good crowd based off our strong win against the Roosters. A win that was on Friday night footy.
Yup, I'll be making the trek for this one.
If someone gets the chance to get into Dave Taylor's ear before match. Tell him to go easy on us 'n save himself for 2013. ;)
I'm really gonna enjoy the big 9 day build up into this one.
No Isaac Luke and GI, we gotta fancy ourselves in this game.
Luke is the heart of the Bunnies attack, shut him down and it goes along way to nullifying their quick play the balls for GI
Just like the Roosters game, I think the only way they'll stand a chance is if we keep giving up stupid penalties. Of course, that's assuming the boys play as consistently as they have the past three weeks.
I think there is more to the Bunnies this year than just Luke and GI. We can have mental lapses, and we do give free metres in the form of penalties.
If it is a low scoring, dour match where out forwards can grind them down, we win. If it turns into a game of touch footy with long range tries coming every ten minutes I don't think we'll be able to maintain the pace.
Here's hoping for a big win to consolidate our spot (or climb back into the eight depending on other results this week) and bump the PD.
Anyone know how Bird, Myles and Bailey have pulled up?
Both teams left is equally sketchy in defence however Taylor currently is more dominant and damaging than what Idris is.
If the Titans keep working on getting the ball into the Idris area there are some real good chances to break the line ie. get it into Idris hands for an under or over, get it to Zilly behind Idris or tunnel it to Mead. As Johns said his presence on the right will get the defenders standing still in anticipation.
So much to play for!
If we get up here and Bulldogs put one on the Knights we will be sitting amazingly.
Ben Lowe copped an ankle injury today and I saw Reynolds limping towards the end.
I thought the same as Ryan..."Souths are ripe for the picking" but I also thought that the Tigers had a chance to roll them.
As it turned out, Souths got a few early calls and gave the Tigers a smacking.
However, I don't believe Sutton will ever play as good as that again and our defense around the rack should be a lot tighter.
Sutton reminded me of Ben Ikin during his Origin days...he's not dangerous enough for a team to coach against but showed any player in the NRL can play well, if left alone.
Whats the sun like in section 23 on a Sunday arvo?
What row(s) avoid the sun?
