Burleigh Bears V Tweed Seagulls at Miami at 2:00pm today.

Both feeder clubs to the Titans. Both going along OK in the Qld Cup. Burleigh just off a loss and Tweed just off a win. And this local derby has had plenty of FIREWORKS in it the last couple of years!

Head there! Watch the action/fireworks! Let the kids run on the field at half time .Maybe they can pick up an autograph or two, because I have no doubt John Cartwright and some of the players will be there!

If you can't make it - stick the ABC on , put some lubicants in the fridge and do youself a favour!

Tweed Seagulls 44- Burleigh Bears 38.

Strange sort of game but entertaining...Strange in that the renouned Burleigh defence would allow 8 tries ...But strange also Tweed nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory after leading 36-16 at half time!
Best players for Tweed and possible Titans players Nat Barnes again (damn he knows how to score tries!) and James Wood ( he knows how to to hit the ball running and break the line) and of course man of the match Andrew Moroney. For Burleigh Half Ben Brown did nothing wrong ( unselfishly gave the ball when he could have scored also), Trent Purden - seems to have been around along time but he's a goer! and Ryan Gundry..

Yeah it was on the ABC live ..Check out ABC2 on Thurs night if you have a set top...Never know when Fox3 will replay it- CRAP SERVICE! Make it the same time each week and a bloke would know!
John Cartwright was there ( & a few players I believe!)- and if your kids had asked nicely after the game I'm sure they would have got autographs!
