Like the line-up, just shows how great our depth is and why we other countries are green with envy when looking at our depth.

You would think with all of the rugby league he has played in he last 2-3 years that Anthony Minichello could take a break here :laughs: I know we have no specialist back up fullback, though King for example would of handled the job.

It is a pity we are not able to get any replay of this game

It's great to see Eric Grothe getting to make his test debut following in the footsteps of his father.

king on the bench? huh?

I hope he is still in the team when vs NZ and GB.

Just for the record, this game WILL be classed as a Test Match.

And rightfully so.

I am sure he will, he is simply making way for Eric Grothe Jnr. to make his debut. Given he played more rugby league in 2005 than Brent Tate, it is a smart move in resting King.

Minichello I know scored a double with Mason and Waterhouse try scorers as well from memory.

Prince is goalkicking.

(The above as per CH9 commentator Andrew Voss at halftime of GB vs NZ)

From Foxsports.com.au:

Minichello stars in Kangaroos win
November 13, 2005

Australia 44 France 12

Australia got on with life without injured captain Darren Lockyer with a solid rugby league Test win overnight.

With Scott Prince and Craig Gower on trial in the halves and Craig Wing at hooker after being called back from holiday in Hawaii, Wayne Bennett's men ran out comfortable victors at Perpignan's Stade Aime Giral.

Fullback Anthony Minichiello scored two of the Aussies' four first-half tries on the way to a 22-6 lead before being given a rest by coach Bennett in the second session.

But despite the determined efforts of the re-emerging French, the points continued in the second half as Australia threw the ball around and competed with each other for positions in the team to play Great Britain at Hull's KC Stadium next Saturday.

Bennett still has five-eighth Trent Barrett to come back into his squad from a foot injury ? but Wests Tigers Prince did his best to hold his spot with a personal haul of 16 points.

For French coach John Monie it was an encouraging outing as Perpignan-based Le Catalans prepare for their Super League debut next year.

However, the hosts lost centre Teddy Fadaoui to injury on the eve of the match and playmaker Julian Rinaldi missed most of the second half action.

The French play New Zealand next Friday in Toulouse while an Australian victory in Hull would keep Great Britain out of the Tri-Nations final at Elland Road on November 26.
