Ok get crowd figure

But would you think it would of been a bigger crowd if they played there games at suncorp.

I think next year will be better for the new stadium.

There is no doubt in my mind that most of the games played at Carrara will be sold out, with the amount of the support the boys had there tonight, it will only get bigger and bigger as the season goes on. Bring on Robina in 2008!

I agree, they would have gotten bigger numbers, but they are the Gold Coast Titans, not the Brisbane Titans. There would be no point bringing them in as a second Brisbane team...

Those are great numbers for Carrara.. almost a full house... nothing to sneeze at there... :)

Sensational effort by all the fans so far.. I hope there are a fair few Titans fans at Telstra this weekend, as although I will be decked in Blue and White, it will make me proud to see the Sky Blue and Gold shining brightly in the stands of Telstra... :D :D

Well of course they would be bigger - for a while at least, until fans on the Coast got fed up with having to travel to Brisbane for a "home" match. As far as I'm aware, Carrara now only seats about 18,000, so 17,946 is pretty close to a sellout. Great stuff. Incidentally, I checked out the old Gold Coast crowd figures a couple of weeks ago. Their biggest home crowd was against the Broncos at Carrara in 1994, 22,688. The second biggest was 15,872 against Manly at Carrara in 1997. The third biggest was aginst the Broncos at Seagulls in 1988, 13,423. Although it does seem I'm wrong about the 18,000 capacity. The Cowboys-Dogs game in 2005 drew 21,012 (just happened to be the same day we all got the happy news the Coast were back!).

All in all, I'd say 42,030 at Suncorp followed up by 17,946 at Carrara is pretty good. Especially when the Giants first ever game drew 5280 against the Dogs in 1988. Though I'm sure round 5 will see a new home record of 52,499 or thereabouts.

Come on Titans!

Yeah i understand that but maybe if a couple more games at suncorp and carrara just thinking producing great crowds also the people who are now following the titans get to see some more games at suncorp. Be easier for people on the sunshine coast to come see the boys at suncopr rather then travel all the way to the coast.

I will be making the trip to the coast to see the boys no doubt about that but wa just thinking for the first year to get some support behind the boys.

Poor crowd result at Telstra Stadium for the game against the Bulldogs, only 14,675 have turned up. I thought the Bulldogs could have got better than that.

Same especially since it was a day of some significance for them...

Very disappointing crowd for the dogs game. Didn't the bunnies and eels draw 24,000 last week? (And I thought that was disappointing)

The crowd was flat out at Telstra, pretty uninspired for their first home game.

Great thread Queenslander!

Queenslander... it's mothers day, that is a poor crowd but the crowd wouldn't have been anymore than 12,000 on a good day... so I wouldn't call it pathetic... poor yes, pathetic is a bit extreme.

I hope to have a car again soon as my other one was written off by someone else... so once that occurs, I can go to some Southern Legion games and support the team... :)

The same game played at Cararra would have got double that today easily.

Mother's day or not the Rooster's have no excuse for such a poor and IMO pathetic turnout for a NRL game. Surely a foundation rugby league club would be able to get more than 6000.....and by what I have heard the numbers don't really match reality. As said on ABC radio "They must be counting feet" and "They must be including people watching on television"

Queenslander, you answered the other reason right there... they are Roosters Supporters... being a Rooster supporter for a large amount of them is like being a supporter of the sun... when it's sunny and going well, you support it, when it rainy and going downhill, you jump off as fast as you can and find another thing to support.

I know of a few Diehard Roosters supporters and they love their team, but I don't know of too many... if the Roosters get a few more wins though, expect the bandwagoners to come flying back in... yep not catching the bandwagon but flying.. :D :D

It's why I'm glad I am not a Roosters supporter, and so should you be.

Piss poor effort by the Roosters, this is meant to be a foundation club with plenty of support.. Mothers day is no excuse, ship them off to the Central Coast, obliviously there aren't many people that would give a crap..

p.s- How many season ticket holders do the Roosters have? Looks like even some of them didn't show up, pathetic.

Typical Roosters supporters! They only seem to stop drinking latte's and go to the footy if their team is winning.

After another very healthy crowd the Titans should/will expect their 200,000 fan through the gates this week at Cararra against the Warriors

The Titans only need 26,884 fans to turn up to the last two games on the coast to get the total home attendance beyond 250,000. Great effort Titans fans!

Wow it is surreal to think it is the end of the season, home game wise.

Looking back and reflecting on all those matches, results and memories.

What an amazing year. The Titans crowds were top shelf all year long!

Todays crowd was one of the best, it was raining all day long and it didn't dent our crowd. The match was a sell out, with people unfortunately being turned away.

We need to maintain this brilliant supporting culture.

Thats a fantastic effort from the supporters & i'm proud to have been at everyone of those matches it also shows the NRL that they made the right decision in giving the GOLD COAST our own team.

Well done & even if we don't make the finals we all can hold our heads high for putting our bums on seats week after week:clap: .

I think it is extremely for the Gold Coast to establish a loyal, unique and passionate fan base. Because a lot of people think we are all band wagoners and nothing fans.

But we have proven ourselves all year long to be one of the most loyal and dedicated fanbases and that will only grow and grow over the years.

We have an amazing spirit of support, we need to make sure we preserve it and grow it for the future. It is very special.

Congratulations Titans fans!

The Titans have had 448,746 attend all of our games this year, after a solid crowd down in Melbourne.
