Tri-Nations: Australia vs Great Britain - Test 4

You all know the drill by now.

Nominate:

Who will win and why?

The scoreline?

The M.O.M?

And we might look at nominating the first try scorer for the match as well.

Look forward to the replies.

Australia will win the game in the second half, in the last 15 minutes of the game, but it will be close up to that point

"Beware the wounded GB Lion"

I will tip Australia though will not being making a song and dance about it until full-time is blown.

Why?

- GB will not play as bad as they did vs New Zealand, they are a better side than they showed us last weekend.
- We are coming back from a two week break which will not help us IMO, you saw how rusty we were in 3 halves of rugby league vs NZ, a break and a trip to the UK in tougher conditions is not exactly a PLUS for us.
- GB have selected a better all-round side and Morley starting the test is the right move. Jamie Thackray off the bench will ensure impact and it looks like Noble will stick with the one halfback for the 80 minutes which will help their cause.
- GB forward packs is big, mobile and will come 100 miles an hour at our pack. Man for man, they are on level pegging just about up front and if they can dominate, we are in for on tough night.

Respect the GB Lions is my tip. I hope I am wrong.

On paper, we are the class team of the competition, no questions asked yet we have always had this advantage yet more often than not since 1990 dropped at least one game to the Poms.

In saying the above, we should win  (run out of time here)

this will be the most fiery game of the tri nations thus far and look for GB to be very physical tonight.in saying that i think it'll be another typical GB performance, promise so much but fail to deliver once again!
hope the ref isn't a factor either.

GO THE ROOS!

Australia lead Britain 8-0 at half time!

Intercept try to Matt Cooper curtesy of a wayward Cunninghan pass.

One conversion and one penalty goal to Fitzgibbon.

The Lions are suprisingly competitive. But their play needs to be more structured and they need more second phase. There is little support or pressure being applied by the Lions.

It makes you wonder how Britain would go if they ever got a decent halves combo.

Cunninghan has been great for the Poms.

Looking forward to the 2nd half and the traditional collapse by the British and Carney.

What a bunch of uncos (Lions)!

Kick off in the 2nd half, ball goes up, I think to myself...

"I bet they knock on..."

Sure enough Wellens knocks on 4 seconds into the match.

Great Britain are funny. :naughty:

Here come the British and Carney!

Lions score off a short pass from Cunninghan to Morley right under the sticks...

Match isn't over yet, but I have to say our Carney has had a fantastic match!

He is all class to bounce back so well. Just what we want at the Titans.

CARNEY! CARNEY! CARNEY!
