As per the Forum Guidelines (http://www.titans.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=65721#post65721)

3.07- Sourcing material
It is important that members provide a source to back up any claims. Any posted material without a source (URL or published reference) may be removed.

Remember that all allegations remain allegations and that we exercise the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.

Please note that repeating overheard conversations, or something you heard ?from a mate? is not considered to be a ?reliable source?. Rumours and innuendo are not proof and any such speculation will be edited or deleted.
If you do not post a source to a thread your thread will be closed. If you continue this practice you will receive a warning.

Also ensure that you post the ENTIRE article. A journalist worked hard to produce these news articles for us to read, the least you can do is post all of his/her own work.

Thanks

General tips for posting articles:

1) Always have a source:

This is very important as explained both here (http://www.titans.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=8361) and in the Forum Guidelines (http://www.titans.com.au/forum/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=4450)

2) Think about the subject matter:

Again very important; think about the topic that you are posting and whether or not it is:
a) Suitable for the forum (This is an all-ages forum, if the article is not right for kids than it is not right for the forum)
b) Important/necessary.

3) General Presenation:

In order for these forums to be the best, articles need to be presented well. Now we do not expect you to create a piece of art all we expect is that you when posting the article:

a) Bold the title
b) Have suitable general formatting i.e. spacing between paragraphs etc.
c) Appropriate thread title

Remember a simple copy and paste may not do the trick.

4) Search for the article before posting

A simple trick for article posting is to search the forum for a similar thread about the topic in question. If a similar thread does not exist than you are more than welcome to post the article.

Also post threads in the correct forums:

Gold Coast Titans News goes in the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans Forum. Seems simple doesn't it ;)

With the introduction of the News and Current Affairs thread the mod team will be cracking down on the above.

I am re-itterating the message above... as it seems people don't understand it... :)

All articles titles are to be bolded when posting... so for example

King is a Box office smash in Kong is the heading of the article

Then the article should read

King is a Box Office smash in Kong
by Author
Date

That way people can tell what is the article and what is your own opinions below it or know what the article title is.

Vaguely posting articles makes it hard for people to read and discourages them from reading what is written.

It is fine to copy and paste articles, but please make them easy to read by doing as Queenslander stated above. Not just because the Moderators said so... because it actually will make more people read the article.... :)
