There was a big message for those Gold Coast rugby league fans who woke this morning not knowing the name of the new NRL team. A 5000 Square foot banner emblazoned with the Titans logo was towed by a helicopter the length and breadth of the coast showing off the team's new mark which was officially launched last night at Robina Town Centre.
Joel Scott cameraman for Channel Nine shot footage of the banner as it made it's way up the coastline and said, "It looked awesome people out for their early morning walks and other beachgoers just stopped in their tracks and stared at it. It was a real crowd pleaser."
The Titans will use the banner on game days in their innaugural season in 2007 to advertise who they are playing.
General Manager of Marketing and Commercial Stephen Burns said, "It will be a great way to let people particularly holidaymakers know, that there's a game on the coast and encourage them off the beach and into our grandstands."
