NRL Trial Game: Jetstar Gold Coast Titans v Melbourne Storm
NRL's newest team - the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans - will play their very first trial game against 2006 Grand Finalists, the Melbourne Storm, on 17 February 2007 at the BCU International Stadium, formerly the Coffs Coast International Stadium.
With players of the calibre of Nathan Friend, who played in Melbourne Storm's 2006 Grand Final team and is now heading up the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans impressive squad, the club is set to make a major impact on the league in 2007 and this trial game will be their stepping off point. Former Sawtell Panthers Kevin and Dennis Gordon have also been signed up to the current squad, something for local fans to be excited about.
All players will be on edge as spots in the Jetstar Gold Coast Titan's inaugural NRL appearance against St George Illawarra on March 18 are currently up for grabs.
Date: Saturday, 17 February 2007
Time: Gates open 1.30pm, lead-up games in the afternoon, main game starts 7.30pm

I recommend interested fans get tickets as soon as possible as I believe these tickets are selling very fast and supply is nearly exhausted.
This will be the first Legion adventure in the beautiful Coffs Harbour, so don't miss it!
You don't want to miss your team running out onto the field for the first time do you? Against our arch enemies the Melbourne Storm. :box: :D
The Legion will make a low key unofficial debut this Saturday night. Look for the big Titans tri-colour flag (pictured with DIEHARD at Orara Sevens in 2006) where you will find DIEHARD and I with some other keen fans!
More details on the Legion will be released closer to the 2007 season kick off.

Yeah got my tickets today! Ill be there with my gf and step dad. sydney is like 7-8 hrs more likely. But stoked that there coming to the home town!!!!

Hey it was a good game, even though titans didnt win, they have potential, espically only really having half there actual team on there. I was a tad annoyd tht it Prince and Bailey didnt play but i guess its there tatic.
But it was a good night!!!

Who do we have next week Parra at Lismore? Certainly along way to go for some Titans supporters to go and see no name players...but you learn that Trial games are exactly that...hardly ever seen a descent one.

I just got back from Coffs. Really enjoyed the trip and seeing the Titans play!
I thought they did well in the face of a near full strength Melbourne Storm.
I'm tired....come back later. Go Titans!

Recently made the trip down to Coffs, arrived 10 or 15 minutes before the first match Jy Hitchcox was number 1? for the first northern rivers team, then later heard he was number 6? a bit confused, number 1 had some pace to burn, and a freak on his feet, shut the gate if he got in the clear i wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of him in a few more upcoming games.. cheers. LOL...that has nothing to do with past years.
It was simply a joke, you thought maybe having a crack at the Storm losing last years Gf would get back at me, mate if your team struggles to make the 8 you cant really say to much about other teams efforts, esp if they make the GF. But its all good, you seem to like to give it alot on this forum. All in good fun.:p
