Two dead in NSW road accidents
Monday Jan 29 07:08 AEDT

A man has died after being hit by a P-plated car near Newcastle.

Police say the 57-year-old Heatherbrae man was walking along Pacific Highway in the breakdown lane at Raymond Terrace when a red Nissan Pulsar struck him about 6pm (AEDT) on Sunday.

The man died at the scene.

The 20-year-old P-plate driver was taken to John Hunter Hospital with minor injuries and remains in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the incident.

A 39-year-old Warragamba man died after his motorcycle left Silverdale Road at Orangeville, in Sydney's south-west, and hit a tree about 11am (AEDT) on Sunday.

A second motorcyclist, 50, swerved to avoid the collision but fell and skidded along the roadway.

He was taken to Campbelltown Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.

Once again, this will make everyone push for more restrictions on P-Platers. Why doesn't the media report on crashes caused by drivers OTHER than P-Platers???? It makes me SO ANGRY!!!!! :curse: :curse: :curse: :curse: :curse:

Also, can someone please merge this thread with the other one I started ('Suspended P-plater critical after crash')? Ta :)

Most accident happens because of lack of knowledge and concentration. Only by getting a complete knowledge of Traffic rules and Strict Regulations by laws these accidents can stop.

If the below mentioned things go perfectly the accidents will be reduced.
1) Strict rules and implementation of the laws
2) The people must realize themselves and respect the laws
3) Good roads and maintenance by the Government
