Nat's Baby Update Thread

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on. Yesterday I began having contractions so I called the hospital, and they told me to come in immediately. I spent the night there and it turns out that everything's fine, just that I have something which can cause premature labour but I'm taking meds to try and make sure that doesn't happen. I had a feeling this bub was going to come early :p Also, apparently Gold Coast Hospital doesn't deal with babies born before 32 weeks, so if Ariana decides to come out before then (right now I'm 24 weeks 3 days), then I have to get transferred to Brisbane - what a pain in the butt, hey? But right now I'm at mum and dad's house, just relaxing. And they have air-con. :D

Thanks so much for all of your messages of support. It's great to have friends like you guys :)

My due date is 27th April... Shaun's 30th birthday is 14th of April and he was thinking she'll come out then (my first due date was April 13). I reckon she'll come then, if not before! :roll:

At this stage, I don't really know but it's a huge when right now. All I know is that I should be ready for it to maybe just 'happen'.

Had ANOTHER scare today and had to into hospital once again. But turns out everything's ok. My sister said that I should just live there "laugh:

In the elevator on the way up, a lady got in with me, looked at me and said: "Not long to go now, ey?" " I started laughing and said "I'm only 26 weeks!" Then she said "Oh, you're having twins?" :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I tells ya, I do look further along but I'm definitely not FAT :laugh: even the doctor said I had a neat tummy :D

I started my first round of something last night, I bleeding this morning. But it's settled now and I've stopped taking that stuff. So it's all okay :) Thanks Jenny!

But we worked out what the problem was - at least one of them, anyway - and everything's fine :D Did have some tests done to see if the thing I had recently (which can cause premature labour) has come back, I'll get the results of that test on Friday.

Last Thursday I had my antenatal appointment at the hospital, and they showed me where the head was - it's RIGHT THERE!!! So this baby's actually ready to come out any day now!! WOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the fact that she was born on Anzac Day (something we all joked about but didn't really think had much chance of happening), especially since I'm Aussie and Shaun's a Kiwi! Shaun's best mate was actually the one who suggested Kokoda as a middle name if she was born on Anzac Day.

Yup stared her on the baby rice. Haha at first she screwed up her face and kept spitting it out but I just kept putting it back in.. she eventually had it all. Now she's getting a lot better with it. And no i haven't tasted it :p

a few weeks ago i got food poisoning & all i could keep down was farex it was very interesting to security at the broncos v titans game!
