Rugby: Who would you sign from the Rugby ranks?
If you were able to select one rugby player to sign for your NRL team, who would it be?

no second thoughts about it,I'd bring back Matty Rogers to the Sharkies were he belongs.
I would sign absolutely nobody.
They arent up to standard.

WEll the storm signed josh graham from the QLD reds this year but he has now gone back to union(because he is behind some class centres) and he was a real good player. He played 2 or 3 games for the storm and i was impressed. IF any club wanted a decent centre he wouldnt be bad at all.

I'd have to sign Dan Carter from the Crusaders. Even though he's a Kiwi, i reakon he would make it big over here in league at 5/8th. It would solve manlys 5/8th problem for sure.
matt giteau would fit in next to joey at 5\8 for the knights like a glove i reckon.

I would also bring Mat Rogers back.
I would bring back Lote from the Tahs'.
He is young, a franchise player and a marketing dream.
Did I mention he is one of the best attacking players in the rugby ;)

There are four players in total I'd sign.

He wouldnt be as good as he once was. You can see in him now, union has taken a lot out of the great player he used to be.

Just to prove a few things. I think he'd struggle in League badly.
The other two are a Fijian and All Blacks wingers who's names I wont even attempt! :D
It is hard to go past the wingers you allude to League Freak though I went Lote as all-round he is a better player.
The names I think your looking for are:
NZ - Joe Rokocoko
Fiji - Rupeni Caucau and my favourite Rupeni Caucaunibuca.

Those are the ones.....Not sure which of the Fijians it is I like though. I think its Caucaunibuca.
I'd also still like to see Lomu in League....just to end him as well. :D

Well if we are talking about Rugby players... I would say Dan Carter and Matt Giteau... imagine them together for the a team such as the Titans... we would be electric.. ;)
Matt Giteau would get smashed. Cant say I know much about Dan Carter though...

I'll take Tuqiri please from union. He is such a wasted talent in that game.
He was an absolute freak of a player, one of a kind!
I think he will return to rugby league, after the next union world cup.

It is possible for a yawnion player to be successful in league. Ricky Stuart did it. I think I heard somewhere that Giteau played League as a schoolboy? Dunno if that is true or not.

thats the reason why he would be a success,he's played league and his father ron played league.he's quick,strong got good defence,great hands and can kick goals.
