I'm lovin the backgrounds mate! The font's you use are a little hard to read though, and a little less outerglow on the players wouldn't go astray;)

IMO i think it is better with the first one, the one in your sig is easier to read...

The text is the problem mate, its only a guess that it says Johnathan Thurston. Too much outer glow and too much beveling makes it almost the the main view point of the image, and thats no good, especially if its unable to be read. The rest of the sig is good, excellent background.

lol ya don't have to satisfy me mate if you like the sig stick with it, its your's after all. I was just giving some feedback.

But that text is much easier to read, and in my personal opinion looks better.

Can someone tell me some things i could do to improve it, if there is anything :p That is awesome CRF! I don't know how you get those background so good! How ever you do it, they look awesome! I Like the way you have the maroon brushes over the top of Thurston and Lockyer, looks good IMO. Fonts are gettin better too, they are much better than the embossed/stroked/outer glowed ones you had before;)

Thanks Robbie, the backgrouns are just done by brushes and putting them in the right spot without making them too heavy...

Plus I got three really awesome sets of brushes that I use to get everything looking nice... One set of Abstracts, one set of Fractals, and one set of lightning brushes can do a lot of good as you can see :p.

Either way, i'm also doing it all on photoshop 7.0...

But yeah, that's pretty much all there is to the backgrounds... i'm just so glad i'm not playing around with clouds anymore...

It'll be appreciated :)umm basically i just got a fractured brush (eg, one that isn't solid colour), made it about 20-30px, and dotted around the outside of locky, then i either sharpened the layer it or or blurred it depending on the circumstances;) Play around with it until you get it good, play around with colours, blending options, opacity until it looks good! Takes a fair bit of time, just be patient;)

I'm not too fussy about the dimensions, but I think 700 (w) by 200 (h) would be perfect. I'd also like a crafty background pattern, similar to my Signature below to go with it. If I can also have it saying somewhere on the banner:

Large text: Sportal
Smaller text: (diagnally bottom right from it) .co.nr
Underneath the entire sportal.co.nr scirpt: All Things Sport & More

I'm not too fussy about the colours of the text, as long as they match. Could I also have the sport logos surrounding the text please. Any additional feautures you'd like to add, such as shiny effect (in my signature) and anything else would also be welcomed. This logo will be used for my sports forum.

Open up your first image you wan't animated, and in the very top right of that animation box, theres a lil arrow, click it and a drop down menu will appear, click on 'copy frame'. Change to your 2nd image you wan't animated, and click that same arrow and go 'paste frame'. You should then see 2 thumbnails of bouth your sigs, to time it just click where it says 0 secs and change it to however long you wan't it to stay on for...

It's a matter of opinion there S&T.... I actually like the plain background... it makes Ronaldinho stand out... and it is quite classy, as oppose to artistic... would be great for an actual sticker or a sign... :)

Much better mate. I know I may sound like a pain but can you please just do 1 small thing please... see the Australian Open text... it doesn't look so good as you can still see some of the black around it, so if you could please remove the text so we can just see the logo. Thanks champ.

I have created a signature for people to use to show their Aussie pride on Australia Day.... I am really happy with the way this turned out and how well the idea came out in the design... I would say close to my best signature so far IMO... :D
