Rugby league simulated matches

I am attempting to get a small rugby league simulated competition together for rival Rugby League forums to take on each other in simulated matches. The matches will have simulated:

- Handling Errors
- Possession
- Time in opposition half
- Completion rate
- Tackle count
- Tries
- Goals
- Filed goals

Example:

0:00 Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Kicks off

Ball on Jervis Bay Dolphins 21 m line

0:13 Jervis Bay Dolphins: 2 tackles, 32 metres gained
Poor defence by Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Kick and chase by Jervis Bay Dolphins

What I need from your forum is a squad of at least 17 players with a captain who decides who starts matches based on past performances. Your team Name should be the name of your forum. If you?re a team can be set up on this forum by a captain it will create a healthy rivalry between league forums.

Competition and exhibition matches will begin when your team is organised. Also it is preferred if the captain of your team is the site owner but it doesn?t have to be. I will post all results up in a single thread hopefully a sticky if everyone is keen.

That is a huge point! All of the other forums participating are popular and established forums. We need this if we are going to be a force in the Rugby League forum world. COME ON GUYS!

No it's not the Manly forum, I cant believe you don't know which forum I spend most time on. :rolleyes:

If the forum I most want to join can't get a team together (there is only two of us at the moment) I'm trying to hold on to a place in the Kennel team, but with Stevie and Mr R in the one team ... well I'm sure you can see why I'd be against rather than for it ;)

Here is an idea to do with the captaincy. We keep Teegy as captain (even if DeeGan joins the team), and we give the VC to a non-mod who makes a good contribution toi the forum. This doesn't mean making the most posts, but who posts more constructively and makes the forum a better place. The C and VC would work together as well.

Yeah it is the side as per the last page if everyone joins... and it works like this...

Have you ever played Championship Manager or F1 Manager... same principle...

- Each forum picks a team and choose the players they want
- Stubbsie puts the names for each team into a system, and it creates games...
- The system then plays the games... giving the stats and results for each game for us to see.. as well as creating a result... so that a team can win...
- The forum can then change its team based on form once the game is finished...
- The rounds continue till you get a winner...

That is what I get at the moment, hope it makes it simpler to understand..


So that is how it works.. at present the Kennel played the Dragons Army Forum and lost 34-16... not too great.. hopefully the machine will be kinder to us.. :D

Friendly banter between opposing points of view is allowed (even encouraged) but the forums are primarily here for the enjoyment of all members. Excessive posting aimed solely at disrupting threads may result in post deletions. This requires moderator discretion but in basic terms, any member who continually creates disruptions to threads will be advised to cease with their activity. Failure to comply with this advice will result in an expulsion warning or immediate suspension.

Most people deserving of being coach are in our team. Cliffy is probably in line to be coach, considering we can't think of anyone else :p .

Not sure entirely.. but I think it will either be at lock, in the centres or in the halfback role... for that match I will be most probably be moving into the backline and we will rest one of our wingers... that way we can both play and give this team so shtick.. LOL.. :D :D
