Geez, I have taken Storm at 13+...the injuries and reshuffle might see Souths hang in there for a 1-12 loss.

FULL TIME SCORE:

Melbourne Storm: 30- South Sydney: 14

Souths played hard at the start of this match, had the whole thing very much closed up at the start of the match, but in the end Melbourne too strong and too classy against a gallant Souths... well done to Inglis and Cronk who ensured the Storm got home... :)

Marching is free. Cheering a losing team isn't

Pretty happy with the win. In the past the storm would have lost that sort of game.

Crockers dangerous tackle was just that, dangerous. He will be looking at a big ban for that. And i agree with others that it was a joke he was sin binned.

And Cronk is spot on... 9 Match Ban for the early guilty plea on Crocker... and that means no SOO for Queensland.

From: www.foxsports.com.au

Crocker faces nine-week ban
May 8, 2006

MELBOURNE and Queensland forward Michael Crocker is facing a nine-week suspension ? ruling him out of the entire rugby league State of Origin series ? after being charged with a grade-four dangerous throw.

Crocker was charged today for his tackle that left South Sydney's Shane Rigon with a shoulder injury and concussion in Storm's 38-14 NRL win on Saturday night.

The grade-four charge carries a base penalty of a seven-week ban.

Crocker's ban would be increased because of past offences.

Wow...pretty big suspension. I would have given him 6-7....but with past charges it is that high,. Which is a shame because he was playing really good. I hope the storm dont try and contest it....they cant win and 12 weeks would be too long!

Crocker has taken early plea & will miss 9 weeks including whole origin series.(Reported on Fox Sports website)Probably the right decision as it wasn't worth risking another 3 weeks.
