Born in Sydney, moved to the Tweed when about 10 and now back in Sydney for work. Something never felt right living on the border and that was the side of the border I lived on. So as my father told me from the beginning, choose a team at the start of the year and stick with them. So I did, QUEENSLAND. I've been given s*** about it, copped it every time they lost and shrugged off and called every name under the sun when i've rubbed a win in their faces. I proudly own 2 MAROON jumpers and wore them to the last 3 games at Telstra. I will do it again and again. I'm proud of my decision and as i said at the top, I don't care what anyone thinks.

As for the question asked a while back about kiwi and victorian supporters, i'd say it's pretty spot on. The old Melbourne/Sydney rivalry would ensure the mexicans go for Qld, and with the number of kiwis, maoris and islanders in the Qld sides over the years, it's like their very own team for the kiwis!

After going to Suncorp stadium for a state of origin. I would suggest, take both teams jerseys just in case the team you are going for loses. Thats one lonley place when your walking down the street getting jeered after a game.

Haha funny story (not related to origin but anyway). I went to the first week of finals Broncs vs Dragons at Suncorp and as we know Broncos got a bit of a wholoping. Anyway the Dragons fans copped it walking out more than the Broncos fans, it was quite humerous actually.
Michel i'm not even going to bother responding, seriously i'm not really in a caring mood right now, more important things to worry about than forumers, so you can throw a party thinking that you are triumphant if you want.

Haha funny story (not related to origin but anyway). I went to the first week of finals Broncs vs Dragons at Suncorp and as we know Broncos got a bit of a wholoping. Anyway the Dragons fans copped it walking out more than the Broncos fans, it was quite humerous actually.
Michel i'm not even going to bother responding, seriously i'm not really in a caring mood right now, more important things to worry about than forumers, so you can throw a party thinking that you are triumphant if you want.

There is no need to argue over something so trivial. IIRC all of this started because shano said something about certain QLD supporters that Future Star didn't like. I haven't been following this, but there really is no point for it to continue, and there definately is no point for personal attacks. Shano, I don't have a problem with you thinking some QLD supporters aren;t true supporters, in fact I agree with you in a way. Michel, I don't have a problem with you thinking that a QLDer should stand by their fellow supporters, and I also agree with that in a way as well. It really shouldn't have gone as far as it did. So now is a good time to move on, because the forum really doesn't need petty little arguments like this.
P.S - We should all be fighting with those evil Blues supporters anyway :p

Nothing compares with being at Lang Park for Origin when the Maroons are dominating. I've been there and the atmosphere is amazing. I'm sure you have also. If not, you've gotta experience it at least once.
I'll be a lounge lizard this year though letting all the neighbours know who I'm supporting. I love giving it to our Blues loving neighbour and I reckon I'll have three opportunities to do just that this year.

Amen to that brother. The demise of the bears at the hands of the filthy Manly Club has been a great source of my anger issues ever since the day the licence reverted back to the Eagles. I followed them loyally in premier league but the day they linked with South Sydney was the straw that broke the camels back.
In saying that if it hadn't of happened I wouldn't have 5 years of built up passion to pour into the MIGHTY TITANS so it is not all bad.
