Agreed, still think it was one of the worst decisions by the club to change to navy blue. It was supposed to signal a new era yet sadly it was our worst era as a club filled with being belted every week and collecting 1, possibly 2 (but I hope not) wooden spoons.

The Titans are light blue, white and gold so surely the club goes back to that after this season.

Game 7 in the Titans Jersey Battle gets underway now, with a mouth-watering clash – the 2018 Home Jersey up against the 2015 Nines Jersey.

Vote for your favourite Titans jersey

Voting is open now, with the “match” ending in 48 hours.

As Titans Members and fans show their true colours by staying #thru’N’thru during the NRL’s COVID-19 shutdown, now is the perfect time to find out exactly which Gold Coast Titans jersey is the favourite of the Titans Legion.

The Titans have created a 32-team knock-out competition, putting every one of the 31 Titans jerseys worn in competition matches since 2007 in a head-to-head showdown to find out which jersey is the favourite among Titans fans.

To round out the competition, the 32nd spot in the competition draw has been given to a special “wildcard” entrant.

Each match in the competition will pit two randomly selected Titans jerseys against each other in a popularity contest, with fan votes to decide the winner.

The winner of each match progresses through to the next round, until the two most popular jerseys go head-to-head for the title of most popular Titans jersey of all time!

Each “game” lasts 48 hours – giving Titans fans two days to decide which jersey is the winner, before a winner and loser are decided and the next match starts.

2014 Heritage has my vote as well. It's by far not my favourite version of that strip though. The original heritage and the 2018 one with the collar that we smashed the Bronco's in are my preferences.

I'm a firm believer that we don't need any gimmicks on our jerseys. No more Swords or helmets. Other clubs don't have any reference to their emblem on their jerseys so why do we? The Cowboys jerseys with the horns was one of their most hated. It's just not needed.

I love our warrior theme and love our logo. But I also see very little reason to add gimmicks and eye sores like helmet tummies and bunny ear swords. If it is done it should be subtle.

I agree about the Cowboys horn jersey. Glad to see them back in a jersey resembling their inaugural.

I agree DH. I really like our theme and logo but just think the extra stuff is unnecessary. I quite like the subtle waves that the heritage jersey has on it this year - that’s a good touch imo. Also I don’t know if anyone has noticed but the heritage jersey last year had the titans helmet on the side of the abdominal area and this year they got rid of it. Maybe they listened..

You are right about that too. I love the beach/ocean themes. The gold for sun and sand. Light blue for clear skies and water. We even have an alternate sand colour which trims our club logo. I also like the wave theme of the heritage. It's all just so Gold Coast.

A brave departure from the team’s original design, the 2010 jersey was a beauty but eclipsed by stronger efforts in later years.

It’s eyecatching, with brilliant hues heightened by contrast with the logo of sponsors TFH. Ultimately the 2018 design was a touch too understated for our taste. The plain blue of the lower half misses the design flair of previous editions.

The original jersey from 2007 set the benchmark for what the Titans jersey should represent. It seems harsh to rank it middle of the table but the design was exclipsed for future versions.

If the Titans go on to win their maiden NRL Premiership this year the all-navy affair might rise higher in our collective estimation. The Titans have never been a navy-primary team and the departure from traditional beachy blues will take getting used to.

Where did the orange come from? Sponsor neds will be pleased but this jersey’s ‘burnt gold’ is a regression from the brilliant golden trim of the 2016-18 years.

A step backwards in colour and no attempt to fix the dullness of the gold on the chest. This 2015 jersey was rock bottom for the Titans.

I don't think i've heard of such a screwed up opinion in regards to our jersey's, ever. This fruitcake is clearly off his rocker..

I messaged the clubs Fb page about this and received the following reply.

Hi XXXX, the first round has been run as you would've seen and we'll start round two next week. We have had staff on 'stand down' and only some are able to design the graphics etc. It will be back.

I replied that Rnd 16 was in fact still open 5 days after it was supposed to close so how could the first round be over? No response as yet. Also suggested that they communicate that it will be continuing to members and supporters.

Nice one ozy. I understand that during these times thing like this can happen but it is disappointing that they couldn't send an email or let people know via facebook or something.

For mine, the inaugural reebok design closely followed by '14-'15.

Anything predominately navy blue is a poor joke, imo.

Ultimate Jersey Battle Heads Into Quarter-Final Shootout

With rugby league finally set to return next weekend, the Gold Coast Titans Ultimate Jersey Battle is getting serious, with the first of the quarter-final “matches” getting underway today.

Over the past month, Titans Members and fans have voted for their favourite jerseys in a 32-team bracket to find out exactly which strip is the favourite among the Titans Legion.

Each match in the competition saw two randomly selected Titans jerseys go head-to-head in a popularity contest, with fan votes to deciding the winners.

There some surprises, upsets wins and relative walk-overs as Titans fans had their say on what rate as the best jerseys worn by the Titans since the Club’s inception in 2007.

Now, with the first round of winners selected, it is time for the quarter finals, as we narrow down the search to see which Titans jersey will emerge as the best of the best.

The first quarter final starts today, with the 2007 away jersey from the Titans’ first season going up against the distinctive 2016 home kit.

I just have to say how moronic it is for the club to actively tell people to "vote as many times as you like". Which undermines the actual purpose of it somehow, someway representing the will of the Titans Legion.

Yep, so now we know how this all turns out.

The club has certainly gone out of its way to ensure the current jersey makes it to the top four. QF2 puts it up against the horror how that is the 14' nines jersey (also the only other predominately dark blue jersey that the club has put out). Cue countless people from Dynasty voting several times to bump out its votes.

I am voting for the ugly nines jersey, hoping if it doesn't win the vote is so close that it shows how much people don't like the current one.

Some good news has come from this weekend at least. The ugly nines jersey has knocked our current eyesore out by 66%.

For anyone that is wondering, three jerseys were not shown in the first round of voting. One round was completely missed and in another round the 2020 nines jersey knocked on unknown competitor (we were never given the chance to vote for that round and the jersey went through by 65 odd % despite the fact that nobody could vote against it).

The jerseys that were never shown as far as I can tell were the 2017 indigenous jersey, the 2018 indigenous jersey and the 2010 alternative jersey. Pretty disappointing that the 2017 jersey was never given a chance considering it was Prestons design. I thought he did a good job of it as well.

With rugby league having returned this week, the Gold Coast Titans Ultimate Jersey Battle is getting serious, with the third of the quarter-final “matches” getting underway today.

The second quarter-final was taken out by the 2014 Nines Jersey, polling 66% of the votes.

And they didn't even name the jersey that was wiped out in their latest news article about it.

This whole thing has been kind of frustrating. And they don't have an overall progression image which nearly everyone doing this type of thing does. So fans can conceptualise it.

I'm trying to find the article for QF2, I can't see it published on Titans.com.au, I find a link to it from twitter (And Facebook) and the article doesn't exist. https://www.titans.com.au/news/2020/05/25/ultimate-jersey-battle-heads-into-quarter-final-shootout/

There was a saying on the Matty Johns family podcast yesterday that I've never heard before but I feel like it aptly describes the Titans employee who is responsible for running this competition. They need to bob their head in ice cream three times but only bring their head back up twice.

It is seriously beyond a joke how badly this was run.

I was only thinking last night, WTF is going on with this.

This should have been planned out to begin with and just be systematically rolled out. No messed up jerseys, no unlimited voting, certainly no inviting it, no missing rounds and no sudden disappearance of the activity.
