This is a thread dedicated to our club’s FATE: Future Academic Titans Engagement.

With a debate emerging of how to best engage the school, TAFE and university communities, I invite any and all to contribute their thoughts here. I also ask Hammer, Mr Bods and the rest to copy/paste or re-state their positions from the previous conversation.

There is only one rule here and that is that this is not a p1ssing competition 😇 the club needs our help, so let’s get busy and give Bayside Titans some ammunition to take to the Alliance.

Excellent.

I think there should be a dedicated group for Titans supporters who are teachers.

Oh yeah well obviously I have a different view to Hammer.
I just know for example that down in the Tweed the kids in the schools know Justin Hodges and Scott Prince whereas they don’t know any Titans.
There is a Broncos program that works with Aboriginal Kids.

I’m a believer in just getting seen and building connections. It doesn’t need to be a big deal. Each player can just have a little 2-3min highlight package on a USB to project on the screen in the assembly hall and then have a PE Teacher ask Them a couple of questions, then see if the kids have a question or two and then they are out of there.
It would take 15mins per appearance plus transportation.
You can’t undervalue the power of celebrity big or small. It gets the brand known to the kids and it appears in the School Newsletter and builds goodwill in each school community.
I actually think it’s good for our players too, it empowers their own connection to the community and makes them realise they are part of something bigger than the Footy Team itself.

That’s my 2cents worth anyway.

How about I start a new forum and call it Titans Think Tank and I can place it directly under the GCT forum to give it some profile.

A place where we can get active.
