Who is your local rugby league team and what comp (group) are they in? Tell us how successful they are and how they went this year.

My team is the Caloundra Sharks. Were unbeaten Minor Premiers this season until the finals (top 5 system) where they lost their 2 games and missed out on the GF. :(

Ballina in the NRRL comp (combined group18 & group1)

Made the semis but finished 4th (6 team semis)

Before the merger Ballina were a perrenial finalist and won a few titles through the90's\00's.

Tweed Heads were too good this year though.

So Tweed Heads are in 2 comps, QLD Cup and the NRRL. Or are they 2 different teams?

No -same club. They reun the QLD cup team and players that get dropped from that go to the NRRL team. Though next year they are moving (providing no red tape) into the Mixwell Brisbane A-Grade. They are a small step above the teams down here - not to far just they train more regularly and have a more professional set up.

For many years it was the St Marys Saints who are one of the oldest and most successfull League club in the world.


Now....Im not sure who it is.

That is not a local club...try perhaps a club from Lewisham or Stanmore...LOL... :D :D :D

My local Club at the highest level is the Sydney Bulls, and they were runners up in the Jim Beam Cup.

Seven Hills Demons next won many divisions this year and looking good for 06 and beyond.... ;)

My local team I suppose is Souths Logans in the QLD cup ... they didn't do too well :p

But Im more a Clydies supporter, but they're not local , although they play locally :p and train locally.

ive got 2 teams in the newcastle comp, west newcastle there pretty dominant in the crl and lakes united didnt have to good a year but will bounce back next season

:) hmm my local team use to be the toongabbie tigers .... however now... i live in the illawarra so port kembla blacks... go the blacks... we made the semis this year but that was it.....

Just to add to that, you may have seen a story in the RLW, in statewide QLD about a month ago. It was a story on the battle that was set to happen if caloundra made the GF. Allan Langer (who played for us last year and this year) was set to face Craig Polla-Mounter (plays for Nambour Crushers). Unfortunately, we choked and missed the GF.

Dalby Diehards. We used to have the DRL, but the three dalby based teams merged into the diehards and now play in the TRL. Carl Webb played for us a few years back before the broncs game him a scholarship and picked him up, screwed him up and now he plays alrite for the cowboys.

our A grade team never seems to make the TRL finals, but the B grade, under 18's and under 15's are pretty good.
