I hate most media as they get the most out of all stories (over glorify etc). Nine news last night interviewed Henry and he said quote, "there maybe a slight fracture, so maybe 2 weeks". So according to Henry, Sezer will be ready in plenty of time. That being said, a fracture is a fracture, so I don't know how you can keep it down to 2 weeks.

More bad news.

Terrible news. Was excited to see what Davin could do in first grade. Hopefully the club gives him another chance and re-signs him.

Gold Coast Titans face injury crisis with William Zillman requiring back surgery
http://www.goldcoast.com.au

THE Gold Coast Titans are officially suffering an injury crisis with fullback William Zillman requiring back surgery which could end his season.

The Titans have at least 18 players — enough to fill an entire team — battling injuries ahead of Sunday’s daunting showdown against the Roosters in Gosford.

Aidan Sezer (hamstring) and Ryan James (shoulder/biceps) became the latest additions to the growing casualty ward during Saturday’s 36-14 loss to the Warriors at Cbus Super Stadium.

Sezer and James have been the club’s best players in the past month but they will undergo scans today and are facing lengthy stints on the sidelines.

With Kane Elgey (ankle), Beau Falloon (wrist) and Kierran Moseley (knee) out for another month, coach Neil Henry literally has no-one to fill his key positions.

The good news is captain Nate Myles should return from his foot complaint to play his 200th NRL match against his former club.

Zillman has missed the last three matches because of a persistent back issue which required an epidural recently.

The 28-year-old has been told he will likely require surgery to fix the disc problem but he is desperate to get through the remainder of the season before going under the knife.

The severity of stand-in skipper James’ injury is unknown and while it’s not related to the surgery he underwent last year the Titans are worried it could be serious.

“We’re a bit banged up at the moment,” Henry said.

“Ryan’s had shoulder surgery before. The doctor didn’t think it was too serious initially but he didn’t have any power there.

“There’s some of tear there around the shoulder capsule.”

Henry is desperately looking for ways to fill his team with under-20s hooker Karl Lawton a chance to make his NRL debut after making his Intrust Super Cup debut for Tweed Heads Seagulls yesterday.

It hasn’t been a great start to the Aquis Group’s partnership with the Gold Coast Titans

Henry may revert to Daniel Mortimer at halfback alongside Josh Hoffman and start Chad Redman, who joined the club last Wednesday, in the No. 9 jersey with Lawton to come off the bench.

The Titans have room in their second-tier salary cap to sign another player before the June 30 deadline but there is no suitable prospects running around for Tweed Heads or Burleigh.

Utility Jamie Dowling hasn’t played NRL this year and could earn a recall.

With Zillman sidelined and Hoffman moving to five-eighth, David Mead is looking at an extended stint at fullback.

Mead copped a knock to his jaw against the Warriors and will undergo precautionary scans today given he has broken it three times.

But the NSW Country representative is confident of facing the Roosters and said he was determined to make the most of his time in the No. 1 jersey.

“I felt good in the legs,” he said.

“I’ve had to do a lot more defence on the line which was a big test. We’ll have to work hard at training.

“I’m always keen to give my best if I’m put on the wing or fullback.

“With the injuries, I might be there for a while but we’ll see what happens.”

The Titans will head to the Central Coast on Friday and train there Saturday.

Let's hope the opposing defensive teams stop trying to re-brake Dave's jaw....

I just don't understand how he could have fractured his jaw when there was no contact with the head......according to the referees.

Just reading that it's looking likely that Don is out for the season with a shoulder injury from the Bears game. Ryan James and Myles still to have scans. If he counts Srama could be gone for the season too.
