DCE and Neil Henry spotted having dinner in Leichart...

in the 'shoosh' part of Buzz Rothfields column this morning, he says DCE and Henry were spotted having dinner... intriguing if true.

before people load up on Buzz, and make no mistake, he can be sensationalist, biased, and agenda driven, so how they let him be the face of the Daily Tele sport / NRL i have no idea. he reduces their credibility immensely with some of his crap.... but he is actually not far off when it comes to players movements often enough for me to think this could have happened.

He cops crap and people laugh his rumours off because he has become a bit of a joke, but he was spouting for months trouble at Manly with Watguts and Manly people and fans booed him and denied all year...then Watmough moves to parra, Matai and Foran want out.

how do we all feel about this? fish and chip wrapping, or a glimmer of hope?

He'll be having dinner with Brad Arthur & Wayne Bennett too before the season starts, Manly won't lose him & Foran but while DCE remains unsigned we can live in hope

I agree. Buzz does cop a fair bit of flack but I like that he tells it like it is and is for a lot of the time close to the mark when it comes to player coming and going.

Nice that DCE is respectful and met with Neil, however it looks likely that Foran will leave Manly so Manly will have more money to throw at DCE.

If DCE leaves Manly I will be p1ssed off as supposedly we had to let Glenn Stewart go to have money for him. But if he came here it would be much easier to cop.
As for Rothfield you will get a laugh if you read the thread on LU about him. I have no time for him.

Agree with the general consensus. Glad we are having a crack although if Manly lose Foran then I don't see them losing DCE and by all reports Foran will be gone by years end.

My hope also. It would be great to have a home grown half back. Eventually one of them will lead up to their potential. sigh.............

TBH I really think we should throw a lot of money at DCE. The experience and skill that he would bring to our team on the field would be incredible. He would also be beneficial off the field as well. Sponsors may be more likely to join, star players would be easier to entice and the crowd numbers would start to rise. He is a well known player which could attract fans to support us. I'm not saying he is a rugby league God but he should be our main recruitment target for 2016.

I wouldn't mind Elgey, Hazard or Fogarty to lead us into the future but there are so many question marks that come with them. All are untested which is why I hope they get a taste of NRL this year whether it be off the bench or in the starting side.

You read all the articles and forums and Manly are seemingly going to lose Matai, DCE and Foran. Dream on.
