Titans: What do you think the RRP for a Titans jersey should be?

Pretty simple topic, poll your vote and comments.

RRP = recommended retail price

Same as any other NRL club. What's that, like $150?

Depends on where you get it from. Most clubs probably sell their's off their site for $170.

Without knowing the ins and outs of the costs of making and licensing the jersey's I couldnt really comment except to say that those price figures are a long way out of reach for most ordinary families. There is no way our family of 5 could afford to pay that much for a jersey unless it once a once of pressie. ie once every few years.

Is it better business princibles to sell more for less and make more or up the price and reduce sales but get a larger $ value/sale.

I agree with Dakink and I am one of the people who would be involved in promoting this sort of stuff in about another 3 months time.. always go for the sell more for a cheaper cost idea.. :)

I reckon around $110 to $130 is a decent price to pay.. any more and it becomes too expensive, any less and it is not profitable if only real fans are buying one every year IMO.. :D :D

i voted 150 to 169. seems to be the norm these days. funny thing is it makes it one of the most expensive tops i will own and i bet they wont let me wear it into many nightclubs or functions :lol!:

just found this on the rebel sports web site. check bottom left add on the page.

copy and paste it if the link doesnt work. basically it says that Titans jerseys will be available from them exclusively from march 5th.no price mentioned but if it is in line with the other nrl jerseys on the site we will be looking at $149.99 for adults and $129.99 for juniors.

i remember when they used to be around a hundred, and even then i thought it was a bit much.

i mean, it is only a jersey. they're making a killing of us.

i think i'll end up buying a titans polo shirt or something.

if fans had a choice ild assume they would go for whats cheaper....but most likely the jersey will go for $150-169.

Rugby league needs to be careful not to price out its fans.

I mean jerseys were $90 7-8 years ago and how much are AFL jerseys?

Something like $90-100?

$120-130 max. Anything more is a bridge too far.

We are competing with AFL on the shops floors as well. And buying two Lions jerseys for the price of one Broncos jersey is appealing to a parent, especially if they don't descrimate the sports.

I think ANY league jumper should be no more than $130. That's how I voted. That would cover manufacturing, shipment, NRL component, and the retailers margin. I too remember when they were no more than $100, but thats when they were made in cotton, which only occurs with the rep jumpers.

AFL supporters may get their jerseys cheaper but remember the losers don't get sleeves on their's.

And about what captaincharger said about not getting into clubs and functions with the jersey, last year I went to a local sports club to watch the footy and they wouldn't let me wear my cronulla jersey (old one with the collar aswell) so I talked them into letting me keep it on while a mate got me another shirt, my $30-$40 cronulla polo shirt, as opposed to the $130+ jersey I was wearing.

I'd pay $100 not to own an AFL jersey. :michaelan

We should be paid (or rewarded with season tickets) to walk around wearing a walking bill board advertising the a) Gold Coast Titans and b)prospective sponsors!

Seriously tho, I think I was happy when it was around the $100 mark.

Depends on whether it is a sponsor jersey or not.
