PHILOSOPHY
The titans were formed on the warm and fuzzy pretence of family values and signed guys like Presto, Prince, Bailey, Lafranchi et al. Nice guys, silky skills but all lacked the dose of mongrel that I look for in a football team.

My new team will be formed on aggressive play and guys not frightened to put in every match. Players like Inglis would be picked ahead ahead of players like Slater, solely based on their grunt factor.
I have always believed that you need 6 forwards. 2 on the field, 2 on the bench, and two suspended.

From the current roster the basis of my team looks like this

1.
2.
3. BLAIR
4.TIGHE
5.
6.
7.
8.JAMES
9.CARTER
10.IOANE
11.TAYLOR
12.MILES
13.BIRD

14. WHITE
15.
16.FALLOON
17.RIDGE

The rest need to man up, as they are on notice.
1.MEAD (needs to OWN this position)
2. DON. (defensive reads not a high point)
5.GORDON. (get a haircut)
6. SEZER (needs to improve his kicking game)
7. KELLY (needs to attack the line more)

15. DOUGLAS (more interested in NRL consecutive matches record than putting in each week)

To free up the salary cap I am prepared to release immediately Mini, Bailey, Harrison, Zillman, Michaels. None of these guys realistically form part of the plan for the next few years.

It is no secret that I dislike but respect certain opposition players. We need to change the culture from the top down.

5. Mead - Owns the position.

You've picked the 2 softest centres in the club when u said u want aggression.

Picking Carter based on trial form and little hooking experience? Swap him and Falloon. I agree with much of the rest and your comments.
Yes I like the 2 on the field, 2 on the bench, and 2 suspended bit! Bring back the biff!

I'd pick White before Ioane and Falloon before Carter.

I'd then buy within our budget:

A coach and Rick Stone is the one I would go for.

Fullback Locke (best not really locked down and stuck behind others)
Left centre Moga (great potential stuck behind others)
Right centre Ferguson (agree we need mongrel)
Prop: Lawrence (how did we let this bloke go)

1. Locke
2. KFFL (unless Gordon gets a haircut)
3. Moga
4. Ferguson
5. Mead
6. Sezer
7. Kelly (careful Hazzrd is waiting)
8. James
9. Falloon
10. Lawrence
11. Taylor
12. Myles
13. Bird

14. White
15. Douglas (Ioane would have to show a lot more)
16. Ridge
17. Carter

Yeah imagine the twin towers of Lawrence and James...woulda been awesome. But would Lawrence be as good as he was at manly without the coaching he got there?

Well yeow and miao ... of course he wouldn't have and he knew it and took off ... I certainly don't blame him but with a half decent coach I'd love to get him back.
