The way Peter Dinklage portrays Tyrion is different to what I had read, but it Makes the TV series for me...

With Tyrion his on screen interpretation is much more flattering and generous to him. But I enjoy the differences between the two mediums.

I think Davos is my favourite character.

Hahaha that's a good one mate. Is he your favourite character?

I think mine are Davos Seaworth and Jamie Lannister. Jon Snow also. Tyrion is incredible, especially when you really try to get into his headspace and his background.

No Spoilers obviously, but Tyrion was just one of my fav characters while reading the book, but the HBO series plays Tyrion slightly different and I LOVE it! So much class!

Have had the series to watch for a couple of years but never got around to watching it until this morning as I'm laid up ATM I decided to give it a go, I put the 1st episode on around 10am & finished the entire series 1 by dinner time have just started series 2 , why have I waited so long I love it , Medievil Porn :thumbsup:

Very similiar. God they cast Joffery so well. And we owe that dude so much for creating such a ****ed up character. He is up there with the Govenor from the Walking Dead.

But at least Malfoyd sided with Dumbledore's Army in the end.

Terror is better than pain. It was amazing...

I thought it was very well done. Although I missed the jousting midgets on a pig and dog from the book. But it was such a rich few scenes all the suspects, agendas and intrigue. It was all laid there to be scene, some obvious, some subtle.

Facebook needs to have a spoiler filter which blocks all terms associated. You can even do image recognition on major characters, so itd block memes.

Or you could bite the bullet and read the books. Just depends what you'd appreciate more. The risk of morons spoiling it is high.

Pretty weak for people to post spoilers the day or so of its ****ing broadcast.

I still remember nearly feeling like vomiting when I read the red wedding, I just stopped reading for a couple weeks. I was left shocked and cold. I knew it was a trap, there was the warning scenes. But tried to wipe them out root and branch.

Back on the episode, wow how about Theon, hearing about Rob dying. And Bolton dressing down Ramsay.

They are very good.

They do indepth background on topics but also review the episodes from a book readers perspective.

They are actually friends with GRRM and do work with him.

Some topics present spoilers, but not many.

Really liked the last episode. I think it's good that it moves away from the books sometimes but not to the degree of the Walking Dead v comics.

Books and television are different and things do need to be simplified and not all of GRRM's work is perfect, there are some characters which he created and neglected etc.

It is hard getting used to the changes though.

The reveal about Littlefinger's plot to pit the Starks and Lannisters against each other and the poisoning of Jon Arryn was good. Lysa is bat**** crazy.

It was really pleasing to see Jon Snow in action eradicating the traitor filth! Would have been nice to have had a little nod to Jon that Bran is ok. Bran got to see Snow snow in action and standing tall. But I guess Jon did get to see Summer last season and he may suspect that only Hordor could be capable of what was done to that rat Locke. Jamie Lannister would be happy.

The changes in plotting added to the tense atmosphere. No one is safe now!

I find I can't stomach scenes with Daenerys, as they seem like a Julia Gillard day dream. (Although I like to remind her on twitter that she is definitely Cersei) So much hot air and propaganda moments. But now with the reality of her new empire crumbling, I think it will get a bit more realistic.

Another fantastic episode this week. Really likes the scenes at the Eyrie, the Wall and Arya and The Hound in the Riverlands. Some nice moments fleshed out and some new ones too.

I feel bad for Mormont being so badly friend zoned.

All three scenes with Tyrion were fantastic. Jamie, Bronn and Oberyn.

Looking forward to Oberyn v Mountain.

I thought it was an average episode until the final scene at Kings Landing, which was amazing. God you got to feel for Oberyn, what a terrifying death. But....

The scenes with Littlefinger and Sansa in The Eyrie was ricketing.

The little love story between Grey Worm and Missandei was clocking watching material.

Also hard watching those bloody Wildlings destroying and slaughtering the North. But Jon is right, they can't be drawn out.

Looks like Episode 9 is going to be an epic.

It was awesome to see Brianne vs The Hound.

The arrival of Stannis was amazing but I thought they didn't do the Wildling horde just in return.

It was a big shift in story to introduce The Children. And seeing so much magic.

I'm bitterly sad to see Jojen die.

It was an amazing season. The best yet IMO. Can't wait for next year. Im sure we will hear more about filming and casting soon.

One thing I have to say is that Season 5 is a bit sad because in a way it is dispelling alot of the theories around storylines in the books. But that isn't to say that the books can't do what they want.

I also am sad to see the reduced nature of the politics of Westeros. Such as many of the lords of the North not being present. And where is the Black Fish and where is the Riverlands? I know you need to simplify things for tele, but that is definitely my favourite thing from the books.

I used to prefer it when Ep 8 was the Holy Sh!t episode. Doing that on the season finale is just cruel.

Just when you thought, maybe just maybe, there was some humanity in Ramsay.

I have to say, I love seeing Davos standing with the loyal men of the Night's Watch. I always always loved Davos.

Really unhappy about the Sand Snakes and how they wiped out Tristan and the Prince.
