Family Guy, The Simpsons to do crossover
THE Simpsons and Family Guy are putting aside their differences to create a landmark crossover episode to screen next year.
In a Family Guy episode entitled The Simpsons Guy, Peter, Lois, Chris, Meg, Stewie and Brian take a road trip and find themselves in Springfield
Entertainment Weekly reports that in the episode Homer believes the Griffins are albinos but the families become fast friends.
Stewie admires Bart's pranks, Lisa tries to help Meg figure out what it is that she’s good at, and Marge and Lois do some bonding. Meanwhile, Peter and Homer argue over which beer is better: Pawtucket or Duff.
The two animated sitcoms from Fox have clashed a few times after The Simpsons accused Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane of plagiarism. But relations have improved with Dan Castellaneta (Homer) having a cameo in Family Guy and MacFarlane appearing in The Simpsons Season 24 finale.
While the two animated Fox comedies, which both air on Sunday night, have taken shots at each other over the years, the rivalry has grown friendlier more recently.
