What three players would you sign and why?
The cheque book is open and the salary cap knows no bounds for this one.

WOW now there is a tough choice Deegan.. :D :D
I really don't know.. I reckon though I'd go the following for the following reasons.. :)
Benji Marshall- A great talent overall :)
Hazem El Masri- I mean who wouldn't want a near perfect kicker.. :)
Andrew Johns- To have the best halfback in the world would be cool.. :D
So yeah that would be my side and I would build around it with players like Luke Bailey, Mark Gasnier, and then some youngsters like Nate Myles and Yileen Gordon or Ben Smith... now that would be a great side.. :)

Clinton Schifcofske- Safe under the high ball, great last line of defence and is always a hand full to stop.
Andrew Johns- Best halfback in the world!
Nathan Hindmarsh- never say die, gives 110% and does what is asked of him every week and a bit more.

Matt Bowen: World Class fullback, superior speed, once he gets the football you know there is trouble brewing
Steve Price: A great on and off field leader; granted he is getting a bit old and injury may affect him more, but he would be a great asset to any team
Darren Lockyer: The greatest fullback and currently the best 5/8 in league.

Nathan Hindmarsh - Best forward in the game today, damaging in both attack & defence.
Benji Marshall - His attacking ability would be a bonus for any backline.
Luke Bailey - Best prop in the game & always gives the side good go forward.
Nathan Hindmarsh-Enough said
Benji Marshall-A huge talent already with a premiership under his belt
Tim Smith-An unbelievable talent waiting to explode
My 3 would be (NRL) Players
Bailey - One of the worlds best forward leaders and prop.
Gasnier - Worlds best center, bar none
Darren Lockyer - Worlds best Fullback. Can also cover no.6.
In my mind 3 of the most critical positions.
A meter eater, a creater and a finisher.
It's a hard one to answer - in saying that, you can't really go wrong. It's a matter of WHO to leave out of the three.
My opinion is you need a world class prop, halfback and either a fullback or hooker. As Dakink said, a meter eater (prop), creator (half or hooker) and a fullback. The 7, 9 and 1 touch the ball more than anyone else so it is imperitive to have skilled players in those areas.
With that said;
(No particular oder)
- Matt BOWEN -
As naturally talented as any player in the game today. An excitement machine who attacks from the back or when chiming in at five-eight as Lockyer once did. My favourite player so it will help in securing a healthy contract :)
- Scott PRINCE -
Scott Prince ranks below Andrew Johns for mine and gets the nod as he is younger. Pretty simple that one.
- Luke BAILEY -
When fit, the best prop in the game (including Fielden). Enough said.
I like Prince - but I am still not totally convinced.
He has played a good solid season but needs another couple before I open the book for him. He will be quickly forgotten after 1 bad year.
Lockyer IMO has that history of talent (as does Johns). The reason I went Lockyer over Johns is purely football life. Johns is near the final end.
Andrew Johns - Best Halfback in the world
Anthony Minichiello - Best fullback and very safe under the high ball
Nathan Hindmarsh - he just never gives up.

Do you plan to pick a non-QLD'er in the next million years?
Brett Hodgson (even though he was in better shape a few years ago)
Benji Marshall (better than lockyer, no matter what anyone says)
Stuart Fielden (easily the best in the business)

I knew someone would ask that.... :ok: My 4th choice would be Benji Marshall, it was a choice between Benji and Steve Price, if i chose Benji i would have another 5/8 and would have chosen 3 backs....Plus any team needs a player similar to Steve Price that can inspire the team on and off the field.
