OK...I just had someone just now post on facebook on what a hero Churchill was. I made my comments and the 'link' is no longer available on facebook to view. I guess the guy didn't like my feedback!
It is now Australia Day and in 3 months it will be Anzac Day. Which is a time to show our respect for the fallen. (We should always remember the fallen....always, but we all do this in unison on April 25)
This is my opinion only and anyone can comment to their hearts desire but Churchill was a rascist alcoholic who only cared for the British and no one else.
I have read many journals over the years and he has sent many many Australians (and others) to their death during both World Wars. I won't elaborate. All you need to do is Google the guy. He directly or indirectly killed 7 million Indians during WW2 (more than Hilter!) In WW1 he sent the Australian Infantry into battle first before the British. There are too many incidents to mention and I could go on with pages and pages of information on why I despise this bloke but I will leave it up to you to do the research.
IMO to worship this guy is just wrong.
He died 38 years ago today (yesterday but it has taken me ages to type this coz I am pissed) and I just don't want anyone to celebrate someone's death who was bordering on a war criminal. :drinkies: OK 1 more drink. :D
