remember a few weeks ago we heard that they would only be doing strength work and no running before xmas....glad to see thats not the case. been mainly running and cardio in the pics and news reports so far.

I saw Nate Myles at a nightclub on the GC last weekend. Had the pleasure to meet him, he's a nice bloke, very well mannered and surprisingly intelligent. Although he did like to party hard....

dunno who it is, but hes a tall drink of water...White is 6'3 and Ioane is 6'1, and james is even bigger, and this guy smokes them all for height... think i saw a front on of him in one of the training pics, but i didnt recognise the face.

This season with some serious new blood is going to be really great. I am not at all worried about the defectors and will be just rapt if we play an adventurous style of rugby league. I'd rather be beaten 24-26 than 10-12.
In retrospect, no I wouldn't. I rather win every game.
Why are they all smiling? This is preseason after a very disappointing 2012 - they should be throwing up from over-exertion

Don't think so. I'll be getting a singlet though, thats for sure. Will be good if they are available in time for summer.
Goodscore seem to be prepping their website for the 2013 range now. But no Training Gear or Jerseys appear yet.
And the same old deal with the Official Titans Online Store. It's still hasn't been updated since god knows when.. :doh:

If the rumours about the new jersey are true, its very disappointing when you consider how well the training gear is design.
Please no Zillman at half.
I for one am hoping with all my heart Zilly gets a halves spot :D

He carved Q Cup at FB as a 19yr old and he has the ability to grow in that position in the top grade and I can guaratee that as a fact.

Lot's of PNG players have done a lot more than that but that doesn't make them NRL ready. I'll even offer Marcus Bai as a recent example. The other point is that if the team had a functioning coach then we wouldn't be discussing this at all because he would be scoring double the number of tries and both of you would be happy.

He just doesn't seem to be able to cover positions with specialists and plays his favourites out of position. It's how he performed in Q Cup and on the international level at FB that I base my decision. He has the ability to grow into a fine number 1. If we kept all the specialist wingers in that position for life we would have had no Billy Slater, Jarrod Hayne and the one player who I think Dave would be better than after one year at FB Darius Boyd (big call but Im gonna stick by it :) )

There is a difference between a premiership winning half and a mediocre half. I don't see Rankin as a premiership winning half from anything I have seen yet. He is still young so may improve but he is not talked about as one of the up and coming halves like Sieka or Miller. Zillman well he isn't a half full stop.

JT was let go by the dogs at 22, cronk had only really just started playing half back at 22 I believe and Shane perry never looked like a premiership half, even after he won one!
Not having a go, just saying halves come along differently and I think rankin could def still do really well. His biggest issue is the quality of coaching, he had the skills and is a pretty tough fellow. Throw him under hasler or Bellamy and he's a genuine star within a couple of years I think.

This is the photo of the off-season so far (for me). Something seems to displease Matty a bit 'n no doubt the determination in him will see him to his utmost to make it right. ;)

I've always thought the Two Blues would be a good fan nickname for the Titans, I love the light blue and dark blue mix. We just need to keep the designs simple and let the colours represent us.

That's a really good picture.

This is just crass. I know the club needs to generate sponsorship income but to me this is too much of a sell out to sponsor and a loss of the club identity.
I'm also not in favour of the Pig. We cop enough of it in the V8 Supercars series 'n now it's infiltrated my favourite NRL club, grrr..

I've just got them from the Titans website and other various places and compiled them here. Figured it's convenient for viewing. There are some goodies out there!

TBH, I thought they looked pretty friggin' good for someone snapping away from the benches, and given that there is a rule about lenses being under 250mm (I think...) I was wondering what sort of super sneaky camera system you had going! :?)
