COFFS Harbour's best rugby league talent will soon be under the microscope of NRL talent scouts.

The Gold Coast Titans and Coffs Harbour Comets have joined forces to create a rugby league academy for the region's rising stars.

The partnership will involve Titans coaching staff working with Comets players aged 16 and above, putting them through NRL-standard training sessions.

Incoming Comets coach Col Speed said it was a great opportunity for the club.

"The Titans partnership can only be positive for the club," he said. "Giving the younger players in the club a clear pathway will assist their development."

The Titans' Michael Close said the club looked forward to the new venture.

"Coffs Harbour has for many years been a rugby league stronghold and this is why the Titans have made a commitment to developing talent in the region," he said.

Only Lachlan Miller is not NYC Eligible next year.
