Finn Laffranchi is the son of former Titan and current Titans NRL manager Anthony and the young brother of Titans contracted front rower Oscar Laffranchi, but unlike his father and older brother, Finn Laffranchi is not a solidly built front rower or second rower but a quick stepping and elusive play making five eight or halfback.

Finn Laffranchi also played Oztag in 2023 with Finn Laffranchi named in the 2023 Super Series Queensland Rebels U14 Representative squad. Finn Laffranchi was also named in the 2023 Queensland Schools Oztag Year Ten Mixed All Stars School Merit Team.

Creedence Donovan started on the left wing for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023.

The 2nd minute saw Creedence Donovan take a St Patrick’s kick on the full twenty metres from his own try line with Creedence Donovan running to his right to get the ball out to the thirty three metre mark. The 12th minute then saw Creedence Donovan run onto the ball to the left of the dummy half to get the ball from twenty five metres out from his own try line to within nine metres of the halfway mark.

Creedence Donovan, in the 42nd minute made a great take of a St Patrick’s bomb to his wing on the full eight metres out from his own try line and three metres in from the left touchline.

Creedence Donovan made a good defensive effort in the 24th minute when along with Sam Stephenson, Creedence Donovan brought down the St Patrick’s right centre less than a metre from the try line near the left corner to save a near certain try.

Brady Turner started in the front row for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023 and in just the 2nd minute of the match Brady Turner ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball from his own thirty seven metre mark and was not halted until Brady Turner had gotten the ball eight metres into St Patrick’s territory.

The 12th minute saw Brady Turner make a strong kick-off return out to the twenty seven metre mark and then a tackle later Brady Turner made a further fifteen metres to get the ball ten metres inside St Patrick’s territory. Then in the 17th minute after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half, Brady Turner was able to break two tackles as he promoted the ball from his own twenty metre mark out to the thirty eight metre mark.

Brady Turner continued his strong match in the 47th minute with a strong run to the left of the play the ball to carry the ball from his own thirty six metre mark to ten metres inside St Patrick’s territory. Prior to leaving the field with a leg injury, Brady Turner charged onto the ball to the left of the dummy half on a yardage carry from his own twenty five metre mark out to the thirty nine metre mark.

Titans contracted Jac Finnigan started at right second row for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023.

The 9th minute saw Jac Finnigan run onto the ball to the right of the play the ball to get the ball from twenty metres out from his own try line to thirty one metres out with Jac Finnigan then awarded a penalty for ruck interference.

In the 27th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball run an underneath route to carry the ball from his own seventeen metre mark out to the thirty metre mark. Then in the 28th minute ran out of dummy half to his left from two metres inside St Patrick’s territory to seventeen metres. Jac Finnigan made another run in the 34th minute from the left of the play the ball from twenty four metres from his try line to forty one metres out.

Jac Finnigan did well in the 3rd minute to chase through a high Zane Harrison bomb with Jac Finnigan smashing the St Patrick’s fullback two metres out from the try line and in front of the posts with Jac Finnigan’s heavy initial contact forcing the fullback into the in-goal area to force a St Patrick’s goal line drop-out.

Bailey McConnell started at five eight for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023 with Bailey McConnell scoring PBC SHS’s first and last try in their 28 – 0 victory to progress to the National School Boy Rugby League Grand Final.

Bailey McConnell scored the opening try of the match in the 10th minute when after cutting inside Zane Harrison who was running to the right of the play the ball, Bailey McConnell received the ball ten metres out and dived between two defenders to score under the posts.

Bailey McConnell scored his second try in the 59th minute when after taking the ball twelve metres out and to the left of the play the ball, Bailey McConnell ran the ball to within four metres of the try line and then dummied to his left and stepped off his left foot simultaneously and darted over to score eight metres to the left of the uprights.

Bailey McConnell had earlier done well in the 44th minute when whilst defending on the right side of the field Bailey McConnell did very well to take a hard kick on the full that was kicked directly at him from close range eighteen metres out from his own try line with Bailey McConnell then able to make seven metres downfield.

Titans contracted Sunny Kama started on the right wing for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023 and in the 14th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball Sunny Kama was able to get the ball from twenty seven metres out from his own try line to eight metres of the halfway mark.

Three minutes later in the 17th minute Sunny Kama carried the ball from the left of a PBC SHS scrum win from five metres out from his own try line to twenty one metres out. Then in the 19th minute from the left of the dummy half Sunny Kama got to within twelve metres of the try line after commencing his run thirty metres out.

In the 29th minute Sunny Kama ran out of dummy half to his right on a yardage carry from eight metres out from his own try line to twenty one metres out. Then to round out a strong match, in the 50th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half, Sunny Kama ran the ball from eighteen metres out from his own try line to thirty two metres out with Sunny Kama then being awarded a penalty for interference in the attempted play the ball.

Titans contracted Zane Harrison started at halfback and captain for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023 with Zane Harrison recording a try assist and kicking four conversions from five attempts in a big PBC SHS 28 – 0 victory.

Zane Harrison kicked his initial conversion in the 10th minute from directly in front of the goal posts to convert the first of Bailey McConnell’s two tries. Zane Harrison added a second conversion in the 37th minute from ten metres in from the left touchline, with his third coming from in front of the posts once again in the 51st minute to convert Sam Stephenson’s try. Zane Harrison kicked his fourth and final conversion after the fulltime siren from eight metres to the left of the goal posts to convert Bailey McConnell’s second try.

Zane Harrison recorded his try assist in the 10th minute when after running the ball to the left from the left of the play the ball, Zane Harrison to the first inside runner being his twin brother Isaac, before passing inside to the second runner being Bailey McConnell who darted over to score under the posts from ten metres out.

Zane Harrison also recorded a line break assist in the 35th minute when after taking possession of the ball forty two metres out, Zane Harrison ran the ball to the defensive line and at the last possible moment threw an inside pass to Ray Puru who charged to within eight metres of the try line.

Zane Harrison ran the ball well himself in the 9th minute from the right of the play the ball from the halfway mark with Zane Harrison stepping off his right foot to make nineteen metres to thirty one metres from the halfway mark. Then in the 19th minute Zane Harrison stepped off his right foot once again when from the right of the play the ball, Zane Harrison ran the ball to within five metres of the try line from nineteen metres out.

In just the 3rd minute from thirty metres out and in the centre of the field Zane Harrison put up a high bomb that came down two metres from the try line and in front of the posts with the St Patrick’s hit by Jac Finnigan and forced back into the in-goal area. Then in the 4th minute from the right of the play the ball and eight metres out, Zane Harrison put in a short chip kick towards the eight corner post with once again St Patrick’s forced back into the in-goal area for another goal line drop-out restart.

Zane Harrison also showed his mettle defensively in the 26th minute with a strong tackle on the St Patrick’s five eight two metres from the try lien with Zane Harrison driving his opponent two metres backwards.

Titans contracted Sam Stephenson started at left centre for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023 with Sam Stephenson scoring a powerhouse try in the 51st minute when after good work to his right from Zane Harrison and Ray Puru, Sam Stephenson received a pass from his right from Ray Puru twenty metres out and in the centre of the field with Sam Stephenson bursting through three attempted tackles to crash over to score under the posts.

Sam Stephenson made a strong impact on the match in just the 7th minute with a charge of the left of the play the ball with his run propelling him from his own thirty three metres mark to the halfway mark. Then in the 14th minute from the left of the play the ball Sam Stephenson was able to carry the ball from his own forty metre mark to six metres inside St Patrick’s territory.

Sam Stephenson made a further strong run in the 32nd minute with a run from the left of the dummy half that saw Sam Stephenson promote the ball to the halfway mark from thirty three metres out from his own try line. Sam Stephenson made sixteen more metres from the left of the dummy half in the 37th minute after receiving the ball twenty two metres out from his own try line.

In the 47th minute from the left of the play the ball Sam Stephenson ran the ball from thirty eight metres out from his own try line to ten metres into St Patrick’s territory.

Sam Stephenson made a good defensive effort in the 24th minute when along with Creedence Donovan, Sam Stephenson brought down the St Patrick’s right centre less than a metre from the try line near the left corner to save a near certain try.

Sam Stephenson made another good defensive read in the 47th minute when facing a two player overlap with St Patrick’s attacking the try line, Sam Stephenson raced out of the PBC SHS defensive line and hit his opposing centre just as he was receiving the pass.

Titans contracted Ray Puru started from the bench for PBC SHS against St Patrick’s College in Mackay in the Phil Hall Cup to determine the best Queensland School Boy Rugby League side of 2023 and after coming onto the field in the 18th minute to play at fullback, Ray Puru once again turned the match on its head with a scintillating display.

It took just a few minutes after coming on, in the 19th minute for Ray Puru to make a line break when after running the ball out to the twenty metre mark for a tap restart, Ray Puru ran to his right and after getting on the outside of the St Patrick’s left winger, Ray Puru burst down the right touchline all of the way down to thirty metres from the try line.

Ray Puru made another line break in the 35th minute when from around forty metres out, Ray Puru ran onto a good inside ball from Zane Harrison and darted and stepped his way to within eight metres of the try line with Ray Puru then getting away a right arm off-load to his left with PBC SHS scoring from the next play.

Ray Puru made his third line break of the Queensland School Boy Final in the 58th minute when after picking up a dropped ball twenty two metres from his own try line Ray Puru broke four tackles, including a counter clockwise spin to break one tackle as Ray Puru got the ball to within thirty five metres of the try line.

In the 34th minute from the left of the play the ball Ray Puru was able to promote the ball from his own ten metre mark out to the twenty two metre mark on a good yardage carry. Then in the 46th minute from the right of the play the ball Ray Puru cut back to his left and he got the ball from twenty seven metres away from his own try lien to within five metres of the halfway mark.

Ray Puru also made a try saving tackle in the 49th minute when Ray Puru hit the St Patrick’s five eight on the try line on the right side of the field with Ray Puru initially holding up the five eight over the try line before forcing him back into the field of play.

Joseph Shannon moved to lock for Burleigh in Round Fourteen of the HDC against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Joseph Shannon coming close to scoring in the 24th minute only to be held up over the try line after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half from twelve metre out then cutting back to his left including a clockwise spin to get over the try line three metres to the left of the uprights.

Joseph Shannon also threw the last pass for Carson Patu’s try in the 67th minute.

Joseph Shannon took a hit-up to the left of the play the ball in the 7th minute and after making ten metres to get the ball to the halfway mark, Joseph Shannon got a good short ball away to his right to his front row partner TJ Devery just prior to engaging the Seagulls defensive line.

Then in the 67th minute from the right of the play the ball from thirty two metres from the try line joseph Shannon took possession of the ball before cutting back to the area behind the play the ball and broke two tackles to get the ball to within fourteen metres of the try line.

Titan Jeremaiah Temapo continued on the left wing for Burleigh in Round Fourteen of the HDC against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Jeremaiah Temapo running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half in the 6th minute from just six metres out from his own try line to the twenty two metre mark.

In the 46th minute from the left of the play the ball Jeremaiah Temapo carried the ball from his own eighteen metre mark out to the thirty metre mark. Then in the 52nd minute Jeremaiah Temapo ran to his left out of dummy half from his own twenty seven metre mark to the forty two metres mark. The 56th minute then saw Jeremaiah Temapo take possession of the ball to the left of a Burleigh scrum win to get the ball sixteen metres from his own try line to twenty nine metres out.

After missing a number of HDC matches whilst playing for the Burleigh Bears GCRL First Grade side EJ Finau returned to the Bears HDC side starting from the bench in Round Fourteen against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls.

EJ FInau’s initial run of his return HDC match came from a kick-off return in the 37th minute to get the ball back to the twenty metre mark. Then in the 40th minute from the right of the play the ball EJ FInau was able to get the ball from thirty one metres from the try line to nineteen metres out.

EJ FInau added another strong run in the 46th minute from the right of the play the ball to make eleven metres from his own thirty metr mark, with EJ FInau then making sixteen metres to his own forty metre mark after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball.

After missing multiple matches Stevie O’Connor returned at fullback for the Tweed Coast Raiders in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U18 competition against Casino with Stevie O’Connor not missing a beat, including scoring two tries and kicking three conversions in a Raiders victory.

In addition to converting his own two tries in the 14th and 27th minutes, Stevie O’Connor converting a Tweed Coast try in the 34th minute from mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

Stevie O’Connor scored his opening try in the 14th minute when after receiving the ball to the right of the play the ball and nineteen metres out, Stevie O’Connor shaped to pass to his right before taking the defensive line on himself with Stevie O’Connor breaking a tackle by way of a left arm fend with Stevie O’Connor then stepping off his right foot to beat the fullback on the try line to get the ball down eleven metres in from the right corner post. Stevie O’Connor then stepped up to convert his own try.

Stevie O’Connor completed his double in the 27th minute when Stevie O’Connor dived over seven metres in from the right corner post after getting an off-load three metres from the try line, then like his opening try Stevie O’Connor put the ball straight through the middle of the posts.

Stevie O’Connor was in position to score his second try as a result of Stevie O’Connor kicking a 40/20 two minutes earlier in the 25th minute from the centre of the field and thirty five metres from his own try line with Stevie O’Connor’s kick going into touch across the right touchline ten metres from the try line.

The 29th minute saw Stevie O’Connor carry the ball from the left of the play the ball from his own thirty metre mark to the forty seven metre.

In the 48th minute Stevie O’Connor put up a high swirling mid-field bomb which was dropped by the Casino fullback ten metres out in front of his own goal posts.

Banjora Porch started from the bench for theByron Bay Devils in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Ballina Seagulls and after coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 13th minute Banjora Porch made a good kick-off return in the 20th minute to get the ball to the twenty metre mark.

Banjora made another good kick-off return in the 53rd minute to get the ball out to the twenty six metre mark. Earlier in the 40th minute Banjora Porch took a hit-up from a Byron Bay penalty restart and broke two tackles as Banjora Porch was able to get the ball from forty three metres from the try line to twenty three metres out.

In 2023 Isaiah Te Pairi lined up for the Easts Tigers in the BJRL U13 Division One competition with Isaiah Te Pairi starting all bar one of his matches in the centres, with Isaiah Te Pairi starting at fullback in the other match in Round Three against Carina.

Over the course of the 2023 BJRL U14 Division One competition for the Tigers Isaiah Te Pairi scored twelve tries with Isaiah Te Pairi scoring a hat trick in Round One against Norths. Isaiah Te Pairi also scored doubles against Aspley in Round Five, Albany Creek in Round Eight and Redcliffe against Round Nine.

Isaiah Te Pairi also scored in Round Three against Carina and Rounds Four and Eleven against Souths.

To round off an impressive season Isaiah TePairi also scored a double against the Albany Creek Crushers.

In May 2023 Isaiah Te Pairi was named in the Brisbane Junior Rugby U13 Representative squad.

Lachlan Offley started at fullback for the Ballina Seagulls in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Byron Bay Devils with Lachlan Offley scoring a long range try in the 28th minute when from thirty eight metres from his own try line and to the right of the play the ball Lachlan Offley cut back underneath Noah Waldock and then after stepping back towards the centre of field, Lachlan Offley used a left arm fend to beat a defender on the halfway mark and then was able to outpace the Devils cover defence to score mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Lachlan Offley came close to scoring again in the 36th minute when on the last tackle after receiving an off-load from twelve metres out Lachlan Offley darted towards the try line but was tackled centremetres short of the try line ten metres to the left of the uprights.

In the 4th minute of the match Lachlan Offley ran to his right out of dummy half from eleven metres inside his own territory to get the ball three metres inside Byron Bay territory. Then in the 12th minute Lachlan Offley ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball thirty one metres out from try line to eighteen metres out.

Lachlan Offley took another hit-up to the left of the dummy half in the 15th minute to get the ball from thirty four metres from his own try line to three metres of the halfway mark with Lachlan Offley’s run incorporating a right foot step.

In the 26th minute from the left of the dummy half once again, Lachlan Offley carried the ball from his own twelve metre mark to the thirty seven metre mark with around 65% of Lachlan Offley’s metres gained being post contact.

From the second half kick-off after Byron Bay had restarted the match Lachlan Offley was able return the ball out to the twenty two metre mark. Then in the 34th minute from the right of a Ballina scrum win ten metres out from his own try line Lachlan Offley was able to get the ball out to the twenty seven metre mark.

Titans contracted Jimmy McCombie started at halfback for the Byron Bay Devils in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Ballina Seagulls with Jimmy McCombie making a line break in the 53rd minute when after receiving a pass from the dummy half from his left Jimmy McCombie, after continuing to run to his right, showed the ball to his right bore straightening up off a right foot step to make a line break between two defenders on the halfway mark with Jimmy McCombie then stepping off his right foot to look to beat the fullback before being brought to ground thirteen metres out from the try line.

Jimmy McCombie had an impact on the match inside the opening minute when from the Devils kick on the final tackle of the opening set of six of the match, Jimmy McCombie was the first Byron Bay player downfield and was able to affect a one on one strip of the ball from the Seagulls left winger thirty five metres from the try line.

The 7th minute saw Jimmy McCombie put up a mid-field bomb from ten metres inside his own territory with the swirling bomb too good for the Ballina defenders who could not get to the ball on the full with Byron Bay able to retake possession from the kick.

Jimmy McCombie did well defensively in the 27th minute to make a cover defending tackle after a Ballina line break with Jimmy McCombie brining down his opponent from behind ten metres from the try line with Jimmy McCombie’s tackle also forcing a Ballina knock on.

Jimmy McCombie had run the ball well earlier in the match in the 27th minute from the left of the play the ball with Jimmy McCombie able to get the ball from his own thirty nine metre mark to three metres into Ballina territory after initially threatening to pass the ball to his left.

2023 saw Majah Peachey line up in the Walters Cup School Boy Rugby League competition for Mabel Park State High School with Majah Peachey starting at left second row in Round One against Redcliffe SHS with Majah Peachey being involved in the opening two tackles of the match.

Majah Peachey was heavily involved in Mabel Park SHS’s 22nd minute try when after receiving the ball on the left side of the field around five metres from the try line, Majah Peachey engaged the defensive line and whilst pushing forward Majah Peachey was spun around so that his back was to the try line. Majah Peachey then shovelled an off-load away behind him with Mabel Park SHS scoring in the left corner as a result.

Majah Peachey also made a long line break in the 36th minute in unique circumstances. Redcliffe SHS were attacking with the play the ball less than a metre from the try line on Mable Park SHS’s left. As the ball was being played the Redcliffe SHS dummy half was not looking at the ball and was still trying to organise who he was going to pass the ball to. Majah Peachey darted off the try line, picked up the ball and charged downfield to get within twenty metres of the try line down the opposite end of the field near the left touchline for a seventy six metre gain.

Early in the match in the 16th minute to the right of the play the ball and ten metres inside his own territory Majah Peachey cut back to his right after receiving the ball and was able to carry the ball eight metres into Redcliffe SHS territory. Then in the 24th minute to the right of the play the ball once again Majah Peachey ran from twelve metres inside his own territory to four metres into Redcliffe SHS territory.

The 57th minute saw Majah Peachey charge onto the ball thirty five metres from the try line and to the left of the play the ball with Majah Peachey getting to twenty metres out before a left arm fend got rid of one defender with Majah Peachey then beating three more defenders as a result of the power of his run with Majah Peachey getting inside the ten metres mark. Majah Peachey then executed an exceptionally quick play the ball with Mabel Park SHS scoring as a result to lock the scores up at 22 all.

Majah Peachey also started at left second row in Round Two against Wavell SHS with Majah Peachey scoring in the 48th minute when from a Mabel Park SHS penalty tap restart on the right side of the field and ten metres out, Majah Peachey charged onto the ball and after running to his right, Majah Peachey broke four tackles as he charged over to get the ball down ten metres in from the corner post.

Majah Peachey continued at left second row in Round Three against PBC SHS with Majah Peachey recording a try assist in the 37th minute when after Mabel Park put in a short grubber behind the PCB SHS defensive line Majah Peachey got down low and in one movement collected the ball and threw a pass to his left with the pass being picked up by his left centre who raced eight metres to score in the left corner.

Majah Peachey also made a long line break in the 4th minute when with PBC SHS on the attack twenty two metres from the try line, Majah Peachey stole the ball one on one and then charged downfield with Majah Peachey getting to within two metres of the try line before being caught from behind.

The 29th minute saw Majah Peachey run onto the ball to the left of the play the ball twenty metres out from his own try line and even though Majah Peachey has hit by the first PBC SHS defender after making just six metres Majah Peachey was still able to get the ball out to the thirty seven metre mark.

Then in the 35th minute once again to the left of the play the ball and forty metres from his own try line Majah Peachey made sixteen metres to within twenty four metres of the try line, breaking two tackles along the way with 60% of the metres gained being post contact with the PBC SHS defensive line.

Majah Peachey continued his strong match in the 38th minute from his own forty metre mark and to the left of the play the ball, Majah Peachey was hit almost immediately by one PBC SHS defender with Majah Peachey then cutting backwards his right and towards the centre of the field with Majah Peachey then able to still get the ball five metres inside PBC SHS territory.

Majah Peachey did well defensively in the 27th minute with a great chase and tackle on the PBC SHS fullback less than twenty metres out from the try line.

Majah Peachey moved to right second row in Round Four against Stretton State College with Majah Peachey scoring one try and setting up another in a big Mabel Park SHS victory.

Majah Peachey scored a great solo try in the 16th minute when after receiving the ball sixteen metres out from the try line near the right touchline Majah Peachey cut back towards the centre of the field by way of three right foot steps and when he was in front of the posts Majah Peachey straightened up his run but Majah Peachey looked like he was held when still four metres out, but Majah Peachey just would not submit to the tackle and forced his way over to get the ball down under the posts.

Earlier in the 12th Majah Peachey recorded a try assist when after running the ball down a short right blindside and after crashing and barging his way to within ten metres of the try line and with two defenders in the process of tackling him, Majah Peachey got an off-load away to his inside to put his right winger over to score.

Majah Peachey also made a line break in the 42nd minute when after receiving the ball on the right side the field and eight metres inside his own territory Majah Peachey cut back towards the centre of the field and broke four tackles as Majah Peachey rumbled his way to the thirty metre mark in the centre of the field.

Majah Peachey’s initial strong run of the match came in the 8th minute from a kick-off return with Majah Peachey taking possession of the ball twenty six metres away from his own try line and getting eh ball to within six metres of the halfway mark.

Then in the 28th minute when from twenty four metres out from his own try line to the right of the play the ball Majah Peachey did exceptionally well to take the low pass cleanly with Majah Peachey then cutting back towards the centre of the field to get to the thirty eight metre mark with Majah Peachey then getting a right arm off-load away to his left.

Majah Peachey rounded out his strong match in the 47th minute with a strong run of the ball from two passes to the right of the play the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line to within three metres of the halfway mark.

Majah Peachey also did damage defensively against Stretton State College including in the 30th minute with a driving right shoulder tackle on the Stretton State College No. 14 with Majah Peachey driving the interchange forward three metres downwards and onto his back ten metres inside Mabel Park SHS territory. Then in the 33rd minute when facing a two player overlap twenty metres out from his own try line, Majah Peachey flew out of the defensive line and hit the Stretton State College fullback just as he took possession of the ball to immediately shut down the Stretton State College attacking effort.

Majah Peachey continued at right second row in Round Five against Caloundra SHS with Majah Peachey scoring in the 45th minute when after receiving an off-load on the inside of a Mabel Park SHS line break down the right touchline, Majah Peachey had a thirty five metre uninterrupted run to score under the posts.

Majah Peachey also recorded a try assist in the 29th minute when after getting to within fifteen metres of the try line down the right channel Majah Peachey got a right arm flick off-load away to his right for his winger to cross wide out on the right but was able to take the ball around to score under the posts.

In the 4th minute of the match Majah Peachey from a Mabel Park SHS penalty tap restart on the halfway mark after Caloundra SHS kick off went out on the full, rumbling to twenty nine metres out from the try line.

The 11th minute saw Majah Peachey ran onto the ball two passes to the left of the play the ball and from two metres inside his own territory and broke a staggering seven tackles as he bashed and barged his way to within twenty metres of the try line in the centre of the field.

Then in the 28th minute from the left of the play the ball, Majah Peachey carried the ball from eight metres out to twenty two metres out from his own try line.

Defensively in the 22nd minute Majah Peachey was involved in holding up the Caloundra SHS No. 17 five metres to the left of the uprights.

Majah Peachey also started at right second row in Round Six against Marsden SHS with Majah Peachey involved in the opening tackle of the match from the Mabel Park SHS kick-off.

Majah Peachey took his opening hit-up of the match in just the 2nd minute with a run to the left of the play the ball from his own thirty one metre mark to within four metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 15th minute from the right of a Mabel Park SHS scrum win, Majah Peachey surged towards the try line from thirteen metres out and got within centremetres of scoring.

The 16th minute then saw Majah Peachey take possession of the ball two passes to the left of the play the ball sixteen metres from the try line and after initially being hit by a defender still twelve metres out, Majah Peachey just kept forcing his way forward to once again get close to the try line ten metres to the right of the uprights on the last tackle.

Majah Peachey ran the ball once again in the 23rd minute from the right of the play the ball and broke three tackles as Majah Peachey got the ball from forty two metres from the try line to twenty metres out. Then in the 27th minute from the left of the play the ball Majah Peachey carried the ball from his own twenty two metre mark to thirty seven metres out.

From a Mabel Park SHS penalty restart in the 29th minute thirty two metres from the try line Majah Peachey was able to make twelve metres then from another Mabel Park SHS penalty restart in the 35th minute from nineteen metres out from his try line Majah Peachey was able to get the ball to thirty metres out.

The 59th minute then saw Majah Peachey bump away from one defender when from the right of the play the ball Majah Peachey ran from eight metres inside his own territory to nine metres inside Marsden SHS territory.

Majah Peachey produced a momentum swinging play in the 26th minute when with Mabel Park SHS under pressure whilst defending their own try line for a long period Majah Peachey executed a one on one strip just three metres from his own try line to completely change the momentum of the match.

Majah Peachey continued at right second row in Round Seven against Keebra Park SHS with Majah Peachey making a line break in the 8th minute when Majah Peachey broke through the Keebra Park SHS defensive line to the right of the play the ball from thirty metres out from the try line with Majah Peachey charging towards the try line but two metres out the Keebra Park SHS was able to dislodge the ball from Majah Peachey’s grasp.

Majah Peachey also recorded a line break assist in the 54th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball when after Majah Peachey carried the ball from his own thirty three metres mark to within eight metres of the halfway mark, Majah Peachey got a good ball away to his right with two defenders on him to send his support runner on a thirty metre run downfield.

In just the 2nd minute of the match Majah Peachey, from the left of a Mabel Park SHS scrum win Majah Peachey got the ball from his own twenty metre mark out to the thirty metre mark. Then in the 29th minute from the right of the play the ball Majah Peachey ran the ball from his own eleven metre mark to the twenty four metre mark after cutting back towards the centre of the field. Majah Peachey rounded out a strong match in the 40th minute with a run that got the ball to within six metres of the try line after a twelve metre run.

Tasharn Cora started at halfback for the Evans Head Bombers in Round Twelve of the NRRRL Reserve Grade competition against the Mullumbimby Giants with Tasharn Cora scoring a try and kicking an 18th minute conversion from five metres to the right of the goal posts.

Tasharn Cora scored in the 23rd minute through a long range effort from seven metres inside his own territory with Tasharn Cora dummying to his left to get on the inside of his direct opponent and race away down the left channel to comfortably scoring under the posts.

Earlier in the match in the 4th minute Tasharn Cora was able to return a kick-off out to the twenty four metre mark.

Joe Nadenic came off the bench for the Brisbane Tigers in Round Fifteen of the HDC against the Ipswich Jets with Joe Nadenic making a line break in the 72nd minute down the left channel with Joe Nadenic breaking the Jets right sided defensive line from twenty three metres out before being tackled two metres from the try line and five metres in from the left touchline.

Joe Nadenic also recorded a line break assist in the 61st minute with a deft pass to his left forty metres out from the try line to put Antioch Faitala-Mariner away down the left touchline with Antioch Faitala-Mariner then passing to his right for Lachlan West to score.

Titans contracted Antioch Faitala-Mariner started at left centre for the Brisbane Tigers in Round Fifteen of the HDC against the Ipswich Jets with Antioch Faitala-Mariner scoring the first of his two tries in the 9th minute by way of a ninety metre intercept to race away and put the ball down under the goal posts.

Antioch Faitala-Mariner completed his double in the 45th minute when after receiving a cut-out pass from his inside Antioch Faitala-Mariner had a twelve metre run down the left touchline to put the ball down in the left corner.

Antioch Faitala-Mariner also recorded a try assist in the 61st minute when after making a line break down the left touchline from forty metres out, Antioch Faitala-Mariner drew the Ipswich fullback and passed inside to his right to Lachlan West to score wide out on the left.

Antioch Faitala-Mariner also made a good run in the 23rd minute from the left of the play the ball to get the ball from twenty one metres out from his own try line to thirty seven metres out.
Antioch Faitala-Mariner also did well in the 20th minute when after chasing through a Tigers bomb Antioch Faitala-Mariner grabbed hold of the Jets fullback just in the field of play and dragged back into the in-goal to force an Ipswich goal line drop-out.

The30th minute saw Antioch Faitala-Mariner make a big front on tackle on the Jets right centre on the try line to prevent a Jets try with Antioch Faitala-Mariner able to force his opponent a metre backwards after he had stopped his momentum.

Round One of the 2023 NRRRL First Grade season saw Harvey Moase start at halfback for the Hornets against the Ballina Seagulls with Harvey Moase successful with his only conversion attempt of the match.

Harvey Moase also started at halfback in Round Two against the Bilambil Jets as well as in Round Three against the Murwillumbah with Harvey Moase kicking three conversions from four attempts.

Round Five against the Tweed Coast Raiders saw Harvey Moase kick five conversions from six attempts after starting the match at halfback. Harvey Moase then continued at halfback in Round Seven against the Evans Head Bombers, kicking two more conversions.

Harvey Moase continued at halfback in Round Eight against Marist Brothers.

Harvey Moase also started at halfback at halfback in Round Nine against the Lower Clarence Magpies with Harvey Moase kicking four conversions and also scoring in the 5th minute when from eight metres out and to the left of the play the ball Harvey Moase took the defensive line on himself and after slicing through Harvey Moase was hit by a defender around a metre from the try line but after being spun counter clockwise Harvey Moase got the ball down ten metres to the left of the uprights.

Harvey Moase continued at halfback in Round Eleven against the Mullumbimby Giants with Harvey Moase kicking a conversion in a touch 16 – 14 loss.

Harvey Moase also started at halfback and kicked seven conversions from eight attempts in Round Twelve against the Kyogle Turkeys.

Rowan Mansfield continued on the right wing for the Ballina Seagulls in Round Eight of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Casino Cougars with Rowan Mansfield scoring in the 28th minute when after receiving the ball eight metres out and on the right touchline, Rowan Mansfield stepped off his right foot when four metres out to beat the Cougars fullback with Rowan Mansfield then able to bring the ball around to put it down under the posts.

Rowan Mansfield also started on the right wing in Round Ten against the Bilambil Jets.

Rowan Mansfield started on the right wing in Round Twelve against the Byron Bay Devils with Rowan Mansfield scoring in the 24th minute when after collecting the ball on the first bounce twelve metres out on the right touchline Rowan Mansfield was able to beat his opposing winger on the inside and dive over to score in the right corner.

Kai Smallwood continued on the right wing for the Bilambil Jets in Round Twelve of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Murwillumbah Mustangs with Kai Smallwood making a line break in the 22nd minute when after a Bilambil scrum on the left side of the field the Jets spun the ball to the right and after receiving the ball thirteen metres out from his own try line Kai Smallwood beat his opponent and made a line break down the right touchline. Kai Smallwood was ankle tapped from behind near the halfway mark but was able to get back to his feet and make a further twenty metres.

Kai Smallwood ran out of dummy half in the 29th minute to his right from two metres from his own try line and was able to get the ball out to the fourteen metre mark.

Kai Smallwood also made a try saving tackle in the 66th minute with a great low left shoulder hit to bring down the Murwillumbah left centre just short of the try line after Kai Smallwood had come off his wing to make the tackle.

Titans contracted Zane Harrison made his NRRRL First Grade debut at halfback in Round Twelve for the Bilambil Jets against the Murwillumbah Mustangs and to say that Zane Harrison put in an assured performance would be an understatement.

Zane Harrison made a line break in the 55th minute when from the right of the play the ball in the centre of the field and twenty five metres from the try line Zane Harrison showed the ball to his right before slicing between two defenders before stepping off his right foot to beat the fullback only to be dragged down from behind by the cover defence just four metres out and directly in front of the goal post. Zane Harrison then was awarded a penalty for being held down too long in the tackle.

Zane Harrison also ran the ball well earlier in the match in the 23rd minute when from the left of the dummy half Zane Harrison stepped off his right foot to dart from thirty metres out to fifteen metres out in from the goal posts. Then in the 64th minute after receiving the ball from an off-load from one of his forwards Zane Harrison was able to get the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to eight metres into Murwillumbah territory.

Zane Harrison then in the 79th minute from the right of the dummy half, cut inside off his right foot to get from thirty one metres from the try line to sixteen metres out.

Zane Harrison showed that he was not over awed playing against men in the 21st minute with a strong right shoulder tackle on the giant Murwillumbah left centre to left him off the ground and put him on his back four metres out from the try line near the right corner.

Zane Harrison also did well in the 19th minute to dive on a Murwillumbah attacking grubber kick going to his right and then did even better to stay in the field of play and not allowing the Mustangs defenders to drag him back into the in-goal.

Kyhan Weir started from the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Fifteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Kyhan Weir coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 31st minute.

Kyhan Weir came very close to scoring in the 34th minute when he crashed over from close range next to the right upright but the referee ruled that Kyhan Weir had knocked the ball on in the process of grounding the ball.

In the 37th minute after receiving an off-load twenty metres out and in front of the posts, Kyhan Wier was able to get the ball to within three metres of the try line in front of the left upright.

The Byron Shire Rebels who won their Far North Rugby U15 Grand Final on Friday night 10-0 thanks to a Charlie Sutton try against Lismore certainly had a rugby league flavour to it including Bilambil Jets U15’s Cooper McCarthy (No. 9), Ethan Alcorn (No. 10) and outside centre (No. 13) Bailey Lebrese, as well as Bilambil U14 player Lesley Faigame at hooker.

Other rugby league players in the side included Archie Hill (lock) and Hunter Moon at blindside flanker (No. 6) from the Byron Bay Lennox Head u15’s and Tweed Heads Seagulls U15 pairing Kapuarangi Mokaraka at inside centre (No. 12) and on the left wing, Pharai Vellere.

Max Wood and Phoenix Thallon have also been part of the side over the course of the 2023 season.

Jayden Wright was back in the front row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Fifteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Jayden Wright making the opening hit-up from the kick off to get the ball out to the twenty metre mark.

Jayden Wright then did well in the 20th minute when Jayden Wright when defending on his own line moved forward quickly and took an intercept off the Burleig dummy half and then was able to get the ball out to the eleven metre mark.

2023 saw Arjay-Troy Sharrock play touch football and in March 2023 was named in the 2023 Gold Coast Touch Association U14 representative side.

2023 saw Arjay-Troy continue at Keebra Park SHS with Arjay-Troy starting on the wing in their Renouf Shield Semi-Final.

Arjay-Troy Sharrock also played for the Easts Tigers in the 2023 BJRL U13 Division One competition with Arjay-Troy Sharrock starting at fullback across the season and scoring in Round Two against Logan Brothers.

Kedan Chan-Tung started at fullback for the Burleigh Bears in the Round Fifteen HDC local derby against the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Kedan Chan-Tung recording a try assist in the 15th minute when from twelve metres out and to the left of the play the ball Kedan Chan-Tung threw an overhead cut-out pass to his left winger Jeremaiah Temapo who was able to rumble down the left touchline to score in the corner.

Earlier in the 5th minute Kedan Chan-Tung had come close to scoring himself when after running to his right out of dummy half from nine metres out Kedan Chan-Tung was held up over the try line ten metres in from the right corner post.

Even though he was still U16 eligible in 2023 Titans contracted Beau Hartmann lined up for the Grafton Ghosts in the Group Two U18 competition with Beau Hartmann’s first match for the Ghosts U18 side came when Beau Hartmann started from the bench in the Round Four local derby against the South Grafton Rebels with the Ghosts prevailing in a tight contest 22 – 20.

Beau Hartmann also came off the bench in Round Five against the Coffs Harbour Comets as well as Round Nine against Macksville.

Reico Ratana continued at right second row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Fifteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Reico Ratana scoring in the 40th minute when after receiving the ball twelve metres out after cutting back underneath Max Liles to the right of the play the ball, Reico Ratana ran over the top of the Burleigh fullback to score ten metres to the right of the uprights.

Reico Ratana’s initial strong run of the match came inside the opening minute when after running an underneath route from the right of the dummy half, Reico Ratana ran the ball from nine metres inside his own territory to nine metres into Burleigh territory.

Then in the 2nd minute Reico Ratana did well to take a short Burleigh goal line drop-out on the full facing his own try line. In the 72nd minute from the right of the play the ball Reico Ratana received the ball thirteen metres out and after continuing to run to his right, Reico Ratana was able to get to within a metre of the try line and nine metres in from the right corner post.

In 2023 Baxter Best who is the younger Brother of Newcastle Knights centre Bradman Best was part of the Titans U14 Elite Rugby League Academy Squad.

In 2023 Baxter Best also played for Ipswich SHS in the School Boy Rugby League Hancock Cup competition including starting in the Grand Final victory and scoring a great sixty metre solo try against Keebra Park SHS that was played at Suncorp Stadium in a curtain raiser to the NRL match between the Brisbane Bronco’s and the Melbourne Storm.

2023 also saw Baxter Best play for Norths Tigers Blue in the Ipswich Rugby League U14 competition with Baxter Best starting the Grand Final at fullback and scoring two tries in a victory against Ipswich Brothers Blue.

Baxter Best scored a hat trick in Round Eight against the Springfield Panthers and in addition to his Grand Final double, Baxter Best also scored doubles in Round Three against Goodna, Five against Brothers White, Nine against Redback and the Preliminary Final against Brothers Blue with Baxter Best also scoring in Round One against Brothers Blue.

Baxter Best started at fullback in all of his matches for the Norths Tigers except for Round Eight when he started in the centres against Springfield and Round Thirteen against Redback when Baxter Best started at five eight.

Baxter Best scored a hat trick in Round Eight against the Springfield Panthers and in addition to his Grand Final double, Baxter Best also scored doubles in Round Three against Goodna, Five against Brothers White, Nine against Redback and the Preliminary Final against Brothers Blue with Baxter Best also scoring in Round One against Brothers Blue.

Baxter Best started at fullback in all of his matches for the Norths Tigers except for Round Eight when he started in the centres against Springfield and Round Thirteen against Redback when Baxter Best started at five eight.

This is one player we need to sign when he turns 15 who would appear to have the necessary requisites to become an elite player. I understand he is also in the Broncos and Roosters Academies so he a very sought after player. He has all of the physical abilities to go very far and has speed to burn. He is already as tall or nearly as tall as his brother Bradman.

Blake Forder moved to the right wing for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the HDC Round Fifteen local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Blake Forder scoring in the right corner in the 27th minute, diving over from three metres out after getting an off-load from his inside.

The 49th minute saw Blake Forder run to his right out of dummy half from twenty metres out from his own try line to thirty three metres out. Blake Forder also ran out of dummy half to his right in the 55th minute to carry the ball to within four metres of the try line from twenty metres out.

Titan Max Liles started at five eight for Tweed Heads in the Round Fifteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Max Liles recording a try assist in the 40th minute when after running to his right twelve metres out, Max Liles brought Reico Ratana back underneath with the second rower running over the top of the Burleigh fullback to score ten metres to the right of the uprights.

In the 5th minute on the final tackle from twenty four metres out from the try line Max Liles put in a left foot high chip kick and after the ball came down a metre from the try line the Burleigh fullback who had taken the ball on the full was dragged back into the in-goal to force a Bears goal line drop-out.

Max Liles forced a second Burleigh goal line drop-out in the 37th minute when whilst running to the right of the play the ball and ten metres out Max Liles put in a grubber kick with the outside of his left foot into the in-goal with Max Liles then chasing through his own kick to tackle the Bears fullback in-goal.

Max Liles also did well defensively in the 19th minute to hold up the Burleigh hooker over the try line after he had tried to force his way over from dummy half but Max Liles flipped him onto his back to prevent him from scoring next to the right upright.

Titans contracted Majah Peachey started at right centre for Logan Brothers in the 2023 GBJRL U16 Division One Grand Final against Norths with Majah Peachey receiving the ball to the left of a Logan Brothers scrum win in the 7th minute five metres out from his own try line with Majah Peachey propelling the ball to the centre of the field and breaking three tackles before Majah Peachey was awarded a penalty for a strip with more than one defender in the match.

The 17th minute then saw Majah Peachey carry the ball from a Logan Brothers penalty restart from thirty six metres from the try line to twenty metres out. Then in the 22nd minute from the left of the dummy half Majah Peachey was able to get the ball ten metres away from his own try line after commencing his run right on his own try line. Majah Peachey followed up with another run in the 27th minute from the right of the play the ball with Majah Peachey producing a yardage carry from two metres from his own try line to thirteen metres out.

In the 34th minute from the right of the play the ball and eight metres inside his own territory Majah Peachey engaged the Norths defensive line on the halfway mark and after pushing away from three defenders Majah Peachey ran back towards the right touchline to get the ball four metres inside Norths territory before Majah Peachey received a penalty for interference in the play the ball.

In the 39th minute from the right of the play the ball Majah Peachey ran the ball down a short blindside from ten metres inside his own territory with Majah Peachey breaking three tackles as his promoted the ball to four metres into Norths territory.

Majah Peachey also produced a try saving tackle on the left winger near the Logan Brothers right corner post with Majah Peachey’s tackle forcing an errant pass by the Norths left winger back inside leading to Logan Brothers talking possession.

In early September 2023 Titans contracted Donte Tahuhu-Wilson was part of the St Thomas College of Canterbury School Boy side that took part in the New Zealand Secondary School’s Rugby League Tournament with Donte Tahuhu-Wilson starting from the bench in Match One against Kelston Boys High as well as in Match Two against Mt Albert Grammar School. Donte Tahuhu-Wilson continued from the bench in Matches Three and Four against St Pauls College and Southern Cross Campus respectively.

Donte Tahuhu-Wilson then started and scored in the Premiership Final victory against St Pauls College in the 15th minute when after Donte Tahuhu-Wilson played the ball a metre from the try line and three metres in from the right touchline, the St Thomas dummy half tried to force his way over to the right of the play the ball and as he was being dragged over the touchline, he desperately flung the ball back inside. Donte Tahuhu-Wilson was able to jump and take possession of the ball in two hands above his head and immediately exploded towards the try line by way of a right foot step to dive over to score in the right corner.

In 2023 Isaiah Te Pairi lined up for the Easts Tigers in the BJRL U13 Division One competition with Isaiah Te Pairi starting all bar one of his matches in the centres, with Isaiah Te Pairi starting at fullback in the other match in Round Three against Carina.

Over the course of the 2023 BJRL U14 Division One competition for the Tigers Isaiah Te Pairi scored twelve tries with Isaiah Te Pairi scoring a hat trick in Round One against Norths. Isaiah Te Pairi also scored doubles against Aspley in Round Five, Albany Creek in Round Eight and Redcliffe against Round Nine.

Isaiah Te Pairi also scored in Round Three against Carina and Rounds Four and Eleven against Souths.

In August 2023 Isaiah Te Pairi was named in the South Queensland Māori U14 Teina Representative squad.

In 2023 Edward Kara moved over to the Gold Coast and Edward Kara was a late addition to the Tweed Heads Seagulls 2023 U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad with Edward Kara named on the Seagulls extended bench for Round Two (the Seagulls had a Round One bye) against the Brisbane Tigers.

2023 was not the first occasion that Edward Kara had made a representative side with Edward Kara named in the 2019 Te Mahurehure Maori Tamariki Rugby League U12 side. Also in 2017 Edward Kara was named in the Te Mahurehure Tamariki U10 Ten’s Rugby League side.

2023 saw Edward Kara start the season as part of the Tweed Heads Seagulls U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad before transitioning to club and school boy rugby league on the Gold Coast.

Edward Kara also played Oztag in 2023 with Edward Kara named in the 2023 Queensland Schools Oztag Year Ten Boys All Stars School Merit Team.

Interested if we are signing that body type in the JTS but I suspect he's not quite the no-neck budding 135kg Union type prop at this age level.

My point being the stereotypical rugby union prop would get absolutely destroyed laterally defensively and would fatigue insanely quickly in a game of high level rugby league.

Bailey McConnell started at halfback for the Burleigh Bears in Round Thirteen of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Bailey McConnell setting up three of the Bears tries in their big win.

Bailey McConnell recorded his opening try assist in the 30th minute when from less than a metre from the try line Bailey McConnell ran to his right out of dummy half and passed back inside to on front rower to crash over to score mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Bailey McConnell added a second try assist in the 35th minute when after feeding a scrum ten metres in from the left touchline and ten metres out from the try line, Bailey McConnell ran to the opposite side of the scrum and after receiving the ball from the back of the scrum, Bailey McConnell continued to run to his right and after drawing one defender Bailey McConnell passed to his right to put his right centre over to score next to the right upright.

Bailey McConnell recorded his third try assist in the 59th minute when to the left of the dummy half, Bailey McConnell held the ball up week from ten metres out to put his left second rower over to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

Earlier in the match in the 14th minute from the left of the play the ball and twenty metres out put in a right foot chip towards the left corner with the Hornets left winger taking the ball on the full just in the field of play but could not prevent himself from being taken in-goal to force a Helensvale goal line drop-out.

Titans contracted Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy continued at fullback for Carina in Round Sixteen of the BRL U20 Premier competition against the Normanby Hounds with Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy making a line break in the 14th minute when after collecting a Hounds kick-off on the bounce in the centre of the field and fifteen metres out from his own try line, Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy ran to his right and after getting on the outside of the left side of the Normanby defensive line Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy charged down the right touchline before being tackled just four metres short of the halfway mark.

Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy also recorded a line break assist in the 49th minute when after receiving the ball to the left of the dummy half on the halfway mark, Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy threw a flat cut-out pass to his left to put his left centre on the outside of his opposing centre and after the ball was kicked back inside later in the movement, Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy was ready to collect the ball and score but alas the ball would not sit up for Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy with the try line in sight.

In the 20th minute from the left of the play the ball Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy carried the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line to four metres of the halfway mark, breaking a tackle along the way. Immanuel Kalekale moved to left second row for the Helensvale Hornets in Round Thirteen of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Burleigh Bears with Immanuel Kalekale holding the ball up well in the 2nd minute before passing to his left from twenty two metres down a short left blindside to Brent Barnes to race away to score in the corner.

Then in the 19th minute on the left side of the field Immanuel Kalekale carried three defenders from eleven metres out to within centremetres of the try line three metres in from the left corner post. The 31st minute then saw Immanuel Kalekale take the ball and from a standing start was still able to get the ball to within ten metres of the try line after taking possession twenty one metres out.

Immanuel Kalekale ran onto the ball once again to the left of the dummy half in the 35th minute from thirteen metres from his own try line to thirty one metres out.

Earlierin the day Immanuel Kalekale moved to left second row for the Hornets in Round Thirteen of the GCRL U20 comeptition against the Helensvale Hornets and inside the opening minute of the match after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball Immanuel Kalekale was able to run the ball from thirty five metres from his own try line to the halfway mark.

Then in the 6th minute once again from the left of the play the ball Immanuel Kalekale made eight metres from his own twenty five metre mark before getting an off-load away to his right. Round Fourteen Riley Loughland play his first match in the NRRRL U18 competition when Riley Loughland started on the bench for the Bilambil Jets against the Tweed Coast Raiders with Riley Loughland coming onto the field in the 26th minute to operate in the dummy half role.

It did not take long for Riley Loughland to make an impact in the NRRRL U18 competition with Riley Loughland recording a try assist in the 31st minute when after packing in at lock to a scrum with a Jets feed thirty metres out from the try line and ten metres in from the right touchline, Riley Loughland ran to his right fro mteh back of the scrum and after running to within fifteen metres of the try line, Riley Loughland got an off-load away to his right to put his right second rower over to score in the right corner.

Seth Nikotemo continued at right second row for the Burleigh Bears in Round Thirteen of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Seth Nikotemo scoring in the 15th minute when after receiving the ball on the right side of the field six metres from the try line whilst running a hard straight crash line, Seth Nikotemo cut slightly off his right foot to burst between two defenders and after engaging another defender on the try line, Seth Nikotemo spun clockwise to gain separation and get the ball down ten metres in from the right corner post.

Seth Nikotemo also threw the last pass for a Burleigh try in the right corner in the 10th minute from twelve metres out from the try line.

Seth Nikotemo took the second hit-up of the match from the right of the play the ball from six teen metres from his own try line to twenty nine metres out with Seth Nikotemo then subject to a dangerous tackle and deservedly being awarded a penalty.

The 23rd minute then saw Seth Nikotemo take a hit-up to the left of a Burleigh penalty restart and carry the ball from the halfway mark to thirty seven metes from the try line with at least 70% of Seth Nikotemo’s metres being post contact with the Hornets defensive line.

The 74th minute then saw Seth Nikotemo run the ball from the right of the dummy half from thirty three metres out from the try line to seventeen metres out.

Tyrese Bowman was on the move position wise once again for the Bilambil Jets in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Tweed Coast Raiders with Tyrese Bowman starting on the left wing and scoring in the 16th minute after flashing down the left touchline from thirty five metres out and after crossing the try line in the left corner Tyrese Bowman was able to bring the ball all of the way around to put it down under the posts.

Tyrese Bowman also made a line break in the 18th minute off a good ball from his inside from Creedence Donovan with Tyrese Bowman running eighteen metres down the left touchline to five metres from the halfway mark.

Owen Woods started at five eight for the Mullumbimby Giants in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Ballina Seagulls and against the Seagulls Owen Woods made a desperate try saving tackle on the Ballina No. 10 after the front rower had made a line break with Owen Woods brining him down from behind less than a metre from the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Owen Woods was also able to get a result for Mullumbimby in the 52nd minute with a short goal line drop-out to his left with the Giants retrieving the ball just after it had broken the ten metre plane.

Stevie O’Connor continued at fullback for the Tweed Coast Raiders in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Bilambil Jets with Stevie O’Connor kicking two conversions from three attempts with Stevie O’Connor kicking his first conversion in the 11th minute from mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field. Stevie O’Connor kicked his second conversion after the final siren from ten metres in from the right touchline.

In the 44th minute from the left of a Tweed Coast scrum ten metres out from his own try line on the right side of the field Stevie O’Connor ran the ball to the opposite side of the field whilst getting the ball out to the thirty two metre mark.

Stevie O’Connor also made a try saving tackle in the 13th minute with a ball and all effort on the Bilambil right centre who had run an inside route with Stevie O’Connor bringing him to ground less than two metres from the try line and five metres to the right of the uprights, Stevie O’Connor then quickly got to his feet to line up at marker and also make the next tackle in front of the goal posts.

The 20th minute saw Stevie O’Connor get a result from a short kick-off to the right with the Raiders retrieving the ball thirty metres from the try line. Then in the 22nd minute from thirty five metres from the try line and in the centre of the field Stevie O’Connor put up a towering mid-field bomb from the right of the play the ball back to the left with the ball dropped in the in-goal by the Bilambil left winger to force a goal line drop-out.

Aaron Singh-Goesel continued at left second row in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition for the Murwillumbah Mustangs against the Ballina Seagulls with Aaron Singh-Goesel running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball down the left channel to get the ball from his own forty metre mark to four metres inside Ballina territory in the 13th minute.

Then in the 45th minute Aaron Singh-Goesel chased through a Mustangs chip with Aaron Singh-Goesel then forcing the Ballina fullback back into the in-goal area to force a goal line drop-out.

In Round Fourteen against the Cudgen Hornets Aaron Singh-Goesel came off the bench in the 20th minute to operate at left second row with Aaron Singh-Goesel making his first run almost immediately thereafter to make fifteen metres down the left channel to get the ball ten metres Hornets territory.

In the 29th minute Aaron Singh-Goesel made a good kick-off return to the thirty one metre mark whilst breaking two tackles, then in the 57th minute from a Murwillumbah penalty restart Aaron Singh-Goesel carried the ball from forty two metres from the try line to twenty metres out.

Round Fourteen of the U18 NRRRL competition saw Titans contacted Riley Buchanan continue in the front row for the Bilambil Jets against the Tweed Coast Raiders with Riley Buchanan taking the opening hit-up of the match from the kick-off. Riley Buchanan made another god kick-off return in the 18th minute to carry the ball back to the twenty five metre mark.

Riley Buchanan also executed one of his trademark heavy tackles in the 58th minute with a right shoulder tackle on one of his opposing front rowers to drive him backwards six metres before driving him into the ground onto his back ten metres inside his own territory.

Kye Cooper started at lock for the Ballina Seagulls in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Byron Bay Devils with Kye Cooper recording a try assist in the 13th minute when after taking possession of the ball to the left of the dummy half Kye Cooper threw a hard flat pass to his left from thirteen metres out to put his front rower No. 8 into a gap and over to score mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Kye Cooper continued at lock in Round Fourteen against the Mullumbimby Giants with Kye Cooper scoring in the 4th minute when after taking possession of the ball to the right of the dummy half when in the centre of the field and sixteen metres out, Kye Cooper initially ran to his right before stepping off his right foot to straighten up his run with Kye Cooper then darting between two defenders to score under the posts. Kye Cooper then converted his own try from directly in front.

Kye Cooper then did well in the 8th minute to chase through a Noah Waldock grubber kick into the in-goal from ten metres out with Kye Cooper trapping the Mullumbimby fullback in-goal.

Xhai Waerea lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Xhai Waerea started on the right wing for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s. Whilst Xhai Wearea started on the right wing Xhai Wearea also spent time in the forwards as the match progressed.

Xhai Wearea ran the ball out of dummy half to his right in the 13th minute to carry the ball from less than a metre from his own try line out to the thirteen metre mark. Xhai Wearea also did well in the 55th minute to get within five metres from the try line near the right corner after receiving a pass to the right of a Titans scrum win from Donte Tahuhu-Wilson.

The 8th minute then saw Isaiah Veve-Fretton run onto the ball to the left of the dummy to carry the ball from twenty seven metres out from the try line to nineteen metres with Isaiah Veve-Fretton then getting a right arm off-load away to his left to Brady Antonik. In extra time in the 65th minute after receiving an off-load thirty metres out from the try line, Lyric Poto stepped his way to within seventeen metres of the try lien and executed a lightning quick play the ball.

In the 8th minute of extra time Ezrah Tangianu positioned himself behind the play the ball and after receiving a bullet pass out of dummy half Deshawn Crompton, Ezrah Tangianu slotted the Grand Final winning field goal from eighteen metres out and directly in front with Coomera Cutters players desperately trying to charge the kick down.

Ezrah Tangianu also kicked an 8th minute conversion in the Grand Final from four metres to the right of the goal posts.

Ezrah Tangianu did well in the 4th minute to take a high Coomera bomb on the full two metres out from his own try line and just to the right of the goal posts with Ezrah Tangianu then beating two tackles as he carried the ball to seventeen metres away from the try line.

The 17th minute saw Ezrah Tangianu run out of dummy half to his right from twenty nine metres out from his own try line to forty one metres out.

Cornelius Kelsall scored his first try in the Grand Final in the 26th minute when after receiving the ball to the left of a Coomera Scrum win twelve metres out from the try line Cornelius Kelsall’s elite speed enabled him to get on the outside of the Runaway Bay right sided defence to score in the left corner.

Cornelius Kelsall scored his second try in the 33rd minute when after receiving on off-load from his right from a rampaging Karter Iva twenty metres out from the try line, Cornelius Kelsall ran to his left and almost immediately stepped off his right foot and then once he was in space Cornelius Kelsall attacked the defensive line before dummying to his left to slice through with Cornelius Kelsall then beating the fullback by way of a left foot step to score mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Cornelius Kelsall completed his hat trick in the 54th minute when after receiving the ball from his right from the dummy half down a short left blindside eighteen metres out from the try line, Cornelius Kelsall double pumped to his left before engaging the defensive line ten metres out. After Cornelius Kelsall was able to break away from two defenders, Cornelius Kelsall ran to his right, before cutting back to his left and then was able to break another tackle to crash over to score seven metres in from the left corner post.

Cornelius Kelsall also did well in the 30th minute to carry the ball from the left of the dummy half and break three tackles from twelve metres out from his own try line to thirty one metres out.

Jac Finnigan started at right second row for PBC SHS in the NRL School Boy Rugby League Grand Final against Westfields Sports High with Jac Finnigan running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half in the 3rd minute to carry the ball from his own thirty seven metre mark to get to the halfway mark with Jac Finnigan then awarded a penalty for a Westfield’s Sports High lifting tackle.

The 13th minute saw Jac Finnigan carry the ball from thirty four metres out to twenty metres from the try line after taking possession of the ball to the right of the dummy half. Jac Finnigan, in the 45th minute ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball dix metres inside his own territory and did well to get the ball ten metres into Westfield Sports High territory.

DeShawn Compton continued to play for the Runaway Bay Seagulls in the GCRL U14 Division One competition including starting at hooker in the Seagulls extra time Grand Final victory 19 – 18 against the Coomera Cutters with Deshawn Compton putting the ball down over the try line in the 22nd minute mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field off an Ezrah Tangianu grubber however the referee ruled that Deshawn Compton was in front of the kicker.

In the 8th minute of extra time Ezrah Tangianu positioned himself behind the play the ball and after receiving a bullet pass out of dummy half Deshawn Crompton, Ezrah Tangianu slotted the Grand Final winning field goal from eighteen metres out and directly in front of the posts. Deshawn Compton’s exquisite pass out of dummy half gave Ezrah Tangianu the time and space to execute the field goal.

Deshawn Compton made his opening foray out of dummy half in the Grand Final when after running out of dummy half to his right three metres inside Coomera territory Deshawn Compton was able to make sixteen metres through the heart of the Coomera defensive line. Then in the 45th minute Deshawn Compton ran out of dummy half to his left and ran through the centre of the field from forty five metres from the try line to thirty metres out.

In the 3rd minute of extra time, being the 63rd minute of the match Deshawn Compton ran out of dummy half once again to his right and was able to carry the ball from twenty five metres from the try line to twelve metres out with Deshawn Compton then awarded a penalty for ruck interference.

Inside the opening minute of the match Deshawn Compton showed that he was up for the Grand Final with a strong kick chase effort to make the Seagulls opening tackle of the match thirty seven metres away from the Cutters try line.

Zane Harrison continued at halfback and captain for PBC SHS in the 2023 NRL School Boy Rugby League Grand Final against Westfields Sports High and in the 44th minute after taking possession of the ball forty two metres out from the try line and to the right of the play the ball, stepped off his right foot to target the area behind the ruck and was able to get to the twenty seven metre mark with Zane Harrison then awarded a penalty for Westfield Sports High ruck interference.

Zane Harrison defended on the right side of the field for PBC SHS and had a great battle with the Westfield’s Sports High left second rower No 11 with Zane Harrison taking the points victory. The first time that the No. 11 targeted Zane Harrison came in the 7th minute but Zane Harrison was able to make a low try saving tackle on him to stop him two metres out mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

Then in the 6th minute Zane Harrison crunched the second rower with a good right shoulder hit six metres out with Zane Harrison following up in the 13th minute with a driving tackle in the same second rower with Zane Harrison hitting him under the rib cage and rocking him forty metres out from the try line.

In the 27th minute the Westfield’s Sport High five eight made a half break from deep inside his own territory but Zane Harrison stopped him in his tracks with a crunching front on right shoulder tackle thirty five metres out from the Westfield’s Sport High try line.

Creedence Donovan continued on the left wing for PBC SHS in the 2023 NRL School Boy Rugby League Grand Final against Westfields Sports High with Creedence Donovan scoring in the 34th minute with a six metre run to put the ball down in the left corner off a Sam Stephenson pass from his inside.

Creedence Donovan also put the ball down under the posts in the 46th minute after following through a Bailey McConnell grubber kick into the in-goal but the referee rules incorrectly that Creedence Donovan was off-side.

Creedence Donovan also made a line break in the 19th minute when after being put away down the left touchline off a Sam Stephenson pass from his right forty eight metres out, Creedence Donovan raced down the left touchline and when he was six five metres out from the try line Creedence Donovan chipped over the top of the fullback and after a scramble in the in-goal Zane Harrison dived on the ball but bizarrely the referee ruled that Creedence Donovan had knocked on in the in-goal when it was clear that Creedence Donovan went over the top of the ball and it was the Westfield’s Sports High fullback’s hand that touched the ball.

Creedence Donovan was initially involved in literally the opening seconds of the match when Creedence Donovan picked up a lost Westfield’s Sports High lost ball from the kick-off with Creedence Donovan collecting the ball eight metres out from the try line and five metres in from the left touchline.

In the 27th minute Creedence Donovan ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half to promote the ball from his own thirty five metre mark to within two metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 42nd minute from the right of the play the ball once again Ray Puru made a yardage carry from thirty three metres out from his try line to forty six metres out.

Karter Iva played for the Coomera Cutters in 2023 in the GCRL U14 Division One competition including starting in the front row in the Grand Final with Karter Iva scoring in a tough 19 – 18 extra time loss against the Runaway Bay Seagulls.

Karter Iva scored in the 30th minute with a long range barnstorming effort. After receiving the ball from his left still seven metres inside his own territory, Karter Iva charged forward with the ball in his right hand lifting his hand (and the ball) above his head to beat the Runaway Bay left winger near the halfway mark, with Karter Iva charging towards the try line and then Karter Iva beat the fullback with a powerful left arm fend twenty metres out and charge away to put the ball down for one of the better tries that I have seen twelve metres in from the right corner post.

Karter Iva was also heavily involved in Cornelius Kelsall’s 33rd minute try with Karter Iva charging onto the ball to the left of the dummy half to get the ball to within nineteen metres of the try line after making fifteen with Karter Iva then getting away a great right arm off-load away to his left to Cornelius Kelsall who raced to his left to score in the left corner after beating a number of Seagulls defenders.

Karter Iva made his presence felt in the Grand Final in the 6th minute with a carry from twenty metres from his ty line to thirty four metres out after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half. Then in the 17th minute from the left of the play the ball Karter Iva produced a strong run that saw him propel the ball from twenty four metres out to within nine metres of the try line.
Karter Iva followed up with a run to the right of the play the ball in the 19th minute to get the ball from thirty three metres from his own try line to within two metres of the hallway mark. The 23rd minute saw Karter Iva charge onto the ball to the left of the play the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line and after spinning counter clockwise after engaging the Seagulls defensive line Karter Iva was able to gain separation to propel the ball six metres inside Runaway Bay territory. Then a tackle later from the right of the dummy half Karter Iva promoted the ball from forty four metres out from the try line to twenty seven metres out after running straight through the centre of the field.

Also in the 28th minute from the left of the play the ball Karter Iva produced an outstanding yardage carry to promote the ball from twenty two metres out from his own try line to within five metres of the halfway mark. The 36th minute then saw Karter Iva make a strong kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty eight metre mark.

Karter Iva continue his outstanding Grand Final in the 53rd minute with an effort from the right of the dummy half to get the ball from five metres inside his own territory to ten metres into Runaway Bay territory. Karter Iva rounded out a very strong match in the 3rd minute of extra time as Karter Iva carried the ball to four metres into Seagulls territory after taking possession of the ball to the right of the play the ball and ten metres inside his own territory.

SUnny Kama on the right wing for PBC SHS in the NRL School Boy Rugby League Grand Final against Westfields Sports High with Sunny Kama making eleven metres to get the ball out to his thirty six metre mark after running onto a pass to the right of a PBC SHS scrum win.

In the 16th minute from a PBC SHS penalty restart Sunny Kama was able to get the ball from thirty three metres out from his own try line to within four metres of the halfway mark. The 23rd minute then saw Sunny Kama run the ball to the right of the dummy half and progress the ball from twenty four metres out from his own try line to thirty seven metres out.

In the 25th minute from the left of the play the ball once again Sunny Kama ran the ball from just two metres out from his own try line and through sheer guts and determination was able to get out to the twelve metre mark.

Sunny Kama followed up with a run from a PBC SHS penalty restart from thirty six metre from his own try line to two metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 42nd minute from the left of the play the ball Sunny Kama was able to get the ball out to the thirty four metre mark after receiving the ball twenty metres from his own try line.

In the 15th minute Sunny Kama jumped high to take a Westfield Sports High bomb on the full ten metres out from his own try line with Sunny Kama then awarded a penalty for being tackled whilst still in the air.

Sunny Kama did well defensively in the 47th minute to come out of the defensive line just six metres out from the try line when facing a two person overlap with Sunny Kama snuffing out the play by hitting the Westfield Sports High fullback just after he had taken possession of the ball.

Sam Stephenson started at left centre for PBC SHS in the NRL School Boy Rugby League Grand Final against Westfield’s Sports High with Sam Stephenson recording a try assist in the 34th minute when after receiving the ball from two passes to the left of a PBC SHS scrum win twelve metres out from the try line, Sam Stephenson ran to his right and off-loaded to his left to Creedence Donovan to score in the left corner after drawing in the Westfield’s Sport High’s right winger.

Sam Stephenson also recorded a line break assist in the 19th minute when after receiving the ball from his right from Bailey McConnell, Sam Stephenson ran the ball down a short left blindside and when he got two metres inside Westfield’s Sports High territory, Sam Stephenson passed to his left to Creedence Donovan who charged down the left touchline after Sam Stephenson had drawn in the right winger.

In the 23rd minute from the left of the play the ball Sam Stephenson was able to get the ball from just three metres out from his own try line to seventeen metres out and then in the 25th minute from the left of the play the ball once again Sam Stephenson carried the ball from ten metres out from his own try line to twenty four metres out.

Sam Stephenson followed up in the 33rd minute with a run two passes to the left of the play the ball to get the ball from six metres inside his own territory to six metres into Westfield Sports High territory.

In the 42nd minute from the left of a PBC SHS scrum win Sam Stephenson was able to carry the ball from eight metres out from his own try line to twenty two metres out. Then Sam Stephenson, from two passes to the left of the play the ball Sam Stephenson made a half break as he got the ball from fourteen metres out from his try line to twenty seven metres out.

Jahkayis Mabbell lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Jahkayis Mabbell started from the bench for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s and after coming onto the field to operate in the dummy half role I the 22nd minute, Jahkayis Mabbell almost immediately ran out of dummy half to his right from thirty two metres from the try line to get the ball to within eighteen metres of the try line.

In the 31st minute after picking up an errant New Zealand pass one metres from his own try line and in the centre of the field Jahkayis Mabbell was able to get the ball to fifteen metres away from his try line.

Then in the 32nd minute Jahkayis Mabbell ran to his right out of dummy half once again from forty metres out, Jahkayis Mabbell attacked the area behind the play the ball to get to within twenty six metres of the try line with Jahkayis Mabbell then awarded a penalty for being held down too long by the defence.

Majah Peachey lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Majah Peachey started at left second row for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s with Majah Peachey making the third hit-up of the match from two passes to the right of the play the ball to get the ball out to the forty two metre mark.

In the 5th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball and thirty five metres from the try line Majah Peachey carried the ball eight metres towards the try line before getting an off-load away to his right winger to keep the movement progressing. Then in the 13th minute ran onto the ball to the left of the dummy half and was able to get the ball from eleven metres out from his try line to twenty two metres out.

Also in the 18th minute from the left of the play the ball Majah Peachey rumbled forward from twenty two metres from the try line to within four metres after cutting back to his right to target the area behind the play the ball with approximately 75% of Majah Peachey’s metres gained being post his contact with the New Zealand defensive line.

Then in the 21st minute after running an underneath route to the right of the play the ball thirty four metres from the try line, Majah Peachey carried the ball to within five metres of the halfway mark before engaging the defensive line. Majah Peachey was then able to use his strength to break away from two defenders and continue his run to his right and get the ball eight metres into New Zealand territory.

Majah Peachey continued his strong match in the 44th minute with a great take of a New Zealand attacking chip kick on the full just two metres out from his own try line and directly in front of the posts with Majah Peachey then able to still make fourteen metres downfield to get the ball to sixteen metres out from his own try line.

From a Titans twenty metre tap restart in the 46th minute Majah Peachey ran to his left and after running straight over the top of one defender Majah Peachey was able to carry the ball out to the forty metre mark.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu started on the left wing for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s with the Future Titans U16’s recording a strong victory. While Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu started the match on the left wing, he moved to the right wing mid-way through the first half.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu came close to scoring in the 27th minute when after Devin Bates-Wellington had taken a Jimmy McCombie kick towards the Titans right corner, Devin bates-Wellington flicked a pass to Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu who charged down the right touchline from twenty metres out with Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu cutting inside away from the touchline before being tackled a metre or two from the try line.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu also made a line break in the 29th minute when after collecting a long cut-out pass from his inside on the bounce forty metres out from his own try line, Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu burst away down the right touchline to fifteen metres into New Zealand territory with Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu then put in a right foot kick inside. Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu’s kick was played at by New Zealand with Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu regaining possession twenty metres out from the try line near the right touchline to give the Titans six more tackles.

Earlier in the 14th minute Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu came off his wing and made a strong low driving right shoulder tackle in the New Zealand right centre to prevent a try with Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu cutting down his opponent less than a metre from the try line and six metres in from the right touchline.

Beau Hartmann lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Beau Hartmann starting at left centre for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s with Beau Hartmann scoring in the 24th minute of the match when he crashed over near the left corner post after the ball was spread wide by the Titans. Beau Hartmann had received the ball in space from his inside from Jimmy McCombie and then had a twenty six metre run to the left corner with Beau Hartmann beating one cover defender when still ten metres from the try line.

Beau Hartmann had made his initial strong run of the match in the 4th minute from the left of a Titans scrum win with Beau Hartmann able to get the ball from eight metres out from his own try line to twenty metres out. Then in the 13th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half Beau Hartmann carried the ball from his own twenty one metre mark to thirty four metres out.

In the 23rd minute from the right of the play the ball Beau Hartmann made a strong yardage carry from twelve metres out from his own try line to twenty three metres out. Donte Tahuhu-Wilson lined up in a Titans jersey for the first time in mid-April 2023 when Donte Tahuhu-Wilson started from the bench for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s.

After coming onto the field to operate at fullback in the 23rd minute Donte Tahuhu-Wilson scored an impressive double in a solid Titans victory.

Donte Tahuhu-Wilson scored his opening try in the 33rd minute when Donte Tahuhu-Wilson ran onto an inside ball from Jimmy McCombie to the left of the dummy half. After receiving the ball twelve metres out Donte Tahuhu-Wilson was hit hard when still eight metres out but was able to maintain his balance and dart over to score eight metres to the left of the goal posts.

Donte Tahuhu-Wilson completed his double in the 57th minute when after Taylan To’o was put into a big gap by Kaleb Smith, Taylan To’o rumbled downfield down the right channel to within twenty metres from the try line and then got a pass away to his right to Donte Tahuhu-Wilson who flew down the right touchline to score untouched in the right corner to complete the scoring in the Titans 18 – 16 victory.

Just after coming onto the field in the 23rd minute Donte Tahuhu-Wilson made his presence felt with a darting and stepping run to get the ball to the twenty metre mark. Then in the 31st minute from the right of the play the ball Donte Tahuhu-Wilson made a yardage carry from fourteen metres out from his own try line in the centre of the field to twenty three metres out.

Then in the 55th minute from the right of a Titans scrum win twenty two metres out from the try line Donte Tahuhu-Wilson, after receiving the ball from the back of the scrum dummied to an inside runner and then got a good pass away to his right to Xhai Wearea who was able to get within five metres of the try line.

2023 saw Dylan Watkins continue playing for the Currumbin Eagles in the Gold Coast Rugby League U16 Division One competition with Dylan Watkins starting at right centre in the Grand Final against the Beaudesert Kingfishers with the Eagles avenging their 2022 Grand Final loss to the Kingfishers with a strong 40 – 0 victory.

Dylan Watkins ran onto the ball to the left of the play the ball in the 38th minute with a strong yardage carry to get the ball from ten metres out from his own try line to twenty two metres out.

In the 19th minute did very well to take a short Beaudesert goal line drop-out to Currumbin’s right on the full under intense pressure just eleven metres out from his own try line and five metres in from the right touchline. Dylan Watkins was involved in forcing the Beaudesert goal line drop-out when along with Nelson Makaafi, Dylan Watkins tackled the Kingfishers fullback in the in-goal area.

Dylan Watkins did well defensively in the 15th minute when along with Nelson Makaafi they held up the Beaudesert left second rower No. 11 over the try lien eight metres in from the Currumbin left touchline.

2023 saw Harrison Doherty continue playing for the Currumbin Eagles in the Gold Coast Rugby League U16 Division One competition with Harrison Doherty starting at halfback in the Grand Final against the Beaudesert Kingfishers with the Eagles avenging their 2022 Grand Final loss to the Kingfishers with a strong 40 – 0 victory.

Harrison Doherty kicked four conversions in the Grand Final with his initial conversion kicked in the 23rd minute from three metres in from the right touchline. Harrison Doherty kicked his second conversion from twelve metres in from the right touchline to convert Nelson Makaafi’s first try in the 46th minute before kicking his third conversion from two metres to the right of the goal posts in the 49th minute. Harrison Doherty then converted Nelson Makaafi’s second try of the Grand Final from directly in front of the goal posts in the 52nd minute.

Harrison Doherty also recorded a try assist in the 9th minute with a hard flat pass to his left from ten metres out to put is left centre over to score ten metres in from the left corner post. Harry Doherty also threw the final pass for Taj Lateo’s 30th minute try.

Harrison Doherty also forced a Kingfishers goal line drop-out in the 26th minute when to the right of the play the ball and twenty metres out from the try line Harrison Doherty put a right foot chip kick into the in-goal and Harrison Doherty was the first Currumbin player downfield to force the Beaudesert fullback over the dead ball line to require a goal line drop-out.

2023 saw Titans contracted Nelson Makaafi continue playing for the Currumbin Eagles in the Gold Coast Rugby League U16 Division One competition with Nelson Makaafi starting at right second row in the Grand Final against the Beaudesert Kingfishers with the Eagles avenging their 2022 Grand Final loss to the Kingfishers with a strong 40 – 0 victory.

Nelson Makaafi was (for me) the best player in the field including scoring a second half double amongst other impressive moments.

Nelson Makaafi scored his opening try in the 45th minute when after receiving the ball two passes to the right of a Currumbin scrum win twenty three metres out from the try line, Nelson Makaafi cut back to his right after running an underneath route to his left and after pushing past one defender Nelson Makaafi burst towards the try line to score twelve metres in from the right corner post.

Nelson Makaafi completed his second half Grand Final double in the 51st minute with a big run after the Eagles had swung the ball from wide out on the left to the right with Nelson Makaafi receiving the ball twenty metres out with Nelson Makaafi immediately stepping off his right foot and executing a left arm fend to beat one attempted tackle and then broke another tackle as Nelson Makaafi surged forward to score a great solo try under the posts.

Nelson Makaafi, in the 20th minute, from the left of play the ball and twenty metres out from the try line, cut to his right after receiving the ball and as a result Nelson Makaafi was able to charge to within five metres of the try line and six metres in from the right touchline.

Also in the 28th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball Nelson Makaafi was able to promote the ball from seventeen metres out from his own try line to thirty one metres out. The 54th minute then saw Nelson Makaafi make a strong kick-off return from his second try out to the twenty two metre mark.

Nelson Makaafi played to the final siren with a good run from a Currumbin penalty restart in the final minute of the Grand Final with a run to his left from ten metres in from the right touchline with Nelson Makaafi running to his left to carry the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line to forty metres out.

Nelson Makaafi did well defensively in the 15th minute when along with Dylan Watkins they held up the Beaudesert left second rower No. 11 over the try line eight metres in from the Currumbin left touchline.

Nelson Makaafi also did well in the 19th minute when along with Dylan Watkins once again they chased through a Currumbin kick into the in-goal to tackle the Beaudesert fullback there and force a Kingfishers goal line drop-out.

Jai Billish lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Jai Billish started at hooker for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s with Jai Billish scoring in the dying minutes of the match in the 55th minute with a smart run out of dummy half from eight metres from try line.

After picking up the ball Jai Billish ran to his left out of dummy half and almost immediately Jai Billish stepped off his left foot to beat the marker with Jai Billish then stepping off his left foot once again to beat a second defender and when he was still five metres from the try line, Jai Billish stepped back to his left off his right foot to dart over to score five metres to the left of the goal posts.

Jai Billish had almost scored earlier in the 49th minute with a dummy half run to his right from three metres out only to be held up by multiple New Zealand defenders just to the left of the goal posts.

In just the 5th minute of the match Jai Billish ran out of dummy half to his right from forty one metres out from his own try line and after stepping back inside off his right foot Jai Billish progressed the ball three metres inside New Zealand territory before being awarded a penalty after the New Zealand defensive line was ruled to be offside.

The 7th minute then saw Jai Billish ran out of dummy half to his right once again and was able to get to within ten metres of the try line after commencing his run twenty one metres out.

Devin Bates-Wellington played his first match in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Devin Bates-Wellington started at right centre for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s with Devin Bates-Wellington scoring in each half in a good Titans victory.

Devin Bates-Wellington scored his opening try in the 18th minute with a strong run down the right channel from eight metres out with Devin Bates-Wellington engaged by two defenders still two metres out however Devin Bates-Wellington was able to force his way over to score five metres to the right of the goal posts.

In the 51st minute Devin Bates-Wellington chased through an attacking Titans grubber kick and after taking possession of the ball on the bounce two metres from the try line, Devin Bates-Wellington put the ball down over the try line five metres in from the right corner post.

Earlier in the match in the in the 4th minute Devin Bates-Wellington ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball to carry the ball from sixteen metres out from his own try line to twenty nine metres out.

Jimmy McCombie lined up in a Titans jersey in mid-April 2023 when Jimmy McCombie started at halfback for a Titans U16 JTS squad that played a touring Auckland U16 side at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans NRL Round Seven match against the Brisbane Bronco’s with Jimmy McCombie recording three try assists in a solid 28 – 16 Titans victory.

Jimmy McCombie recorded his initial try assist in the 24th minute when after receiving the ball wide on the left, Jimmy McCombie ran at the defensive line and held up the ball to the last possible moment before throwing a perfectly weighted pass to his left to put Titans left centre Beau Hartmann into space and subsequently score in the left corner from twenty six metres out.

Jimmy McCombie recorded his second try assist in the 27th minute when from the left of the play the ball and nine metres from the try line Jimmy McCombie put through a left foot grubber back to his left and after the ball ricocheted around with Kalani Patu picking the ball up and crashing over to score four metres to the right of the goal posts.

Taylan To’o recorded a 57th minute try assist when after making a line break forty metres from the try line off a Kaleb Smith pass from his left, Taylan To’o ran to within twenty metres of the try line down the right channel before getting a pass away to his right to Donte Tahuhu-Wilson who dived over to score in the right corner.

Taylan To’o made his opening strong run of the match in the 5th minute from the left of the play the ball from twenty six metres out from his own try line and was able to promote the ball to forty one metres out.

In the 26th minute from the right of the play the ball Taylan To’o was able to propel the ball from twenty metres out from his own try line to thirty six metres out, breaking two tackles along the way. Then just a tackle later from five metres inside his own territory and to the right of the play the ball, Taylan To’o was able to carry the ball ten metres inside New Zealand territory before getting a right arm off-load away to his left to continue the play.

Taylan To’o made an additional strong run in the 29th minute from the right of the play the ball to make eighteen metres to get the ball to within twelve metres of the halfway mark. Kai Smallwood moved to halfback for the Bilambil Jets in Round Fifteen of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Cudgen Hornets with Kai Smallwood scoring in the 76th minute when after the Jets made a line break through the centre of the field from deep inside their own territory, Kai Smallwood received an off-load from Blake Forder from his right in front of the goal posts and ran twenty two metres from a standing start to score untouched under the posts.

Kai Smallwood also made a line break in the 9th minute when after Bilambil ran the ball down a short left blindside Kai Smallwood burst onto a pass and into a gap thirty metres out from his own try line with Kai Smallwood unable to line up his support runners and was tackled twenty two metres out from the try line.

Blake Forder was back on the left wing for the Bilambil Jets in Round Fifteen of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Cudgen Hornets with Blake Forder scoring in the 3rd minute when after receiving a cut-out pass from his right Blake Forder raced thirty five metres down the left touchline and as he approached the try line Blake Forder executed an in and away to get around the fullback and get the ball down in the left corner.

Blake Forder also recorded a try assist in the 76th minute when after Bilambil made a line break through the centre of the field from deep inside their own territory, Blake Forder received the ball from his left around forty metres from the try line and after cutting back to his left after running to his right, Blake Forder threw an overhead pass to his left to Kai Smallwood who was able to run twenty two metres from a standing start to score under the posts.

In the 7th minute from the left of the play the ball Blake Forder was able to carry the ball from thirty three metres out from his own try line to within three metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 20th minute Blake Forder was able to return a Cudgen kick-off that he took on the full out to the twenty three metre mark with Blake Forder then being awarded a penalty for being held down too long in the tackle by the Hornets defenders.

Harry Chadburn started at five eight for the Bolambil Jets against the Tweed Coast Raiders in Round Fourteen of the U18 NRRRL competition with Harry Chadburn scoring in the 28th minute when after taking possession of the ball from the left of the play the ball around twenty metres out, Harry Chadburn continued to run to his left and after dummying twice to inside runners, Harry Chadburn passed to his left to put his left centre into a gap with Harry Chadburn then backing up on the inside with Harry Chadburn receiving the ball back from his centre eight metres out with Harry Chadburn then bringing the ball around to score under the posts.

Harry Chadburn also made a line break in the 52nd minute when after taking possession of the ball to the left of the dummy half Harry Chadburn dummied to his left still ten metres inside his own territory and broke through the defensive line to make twenty one metres downfield with Harry Chadburn then awarded a penalty for being held down too long in the tackle.

The 19th minute saw Harry Chadburn, from the right of the play the ball and four metres inside his own territory drive a right foot kick into the in-goal near the right corner with Harry Chadburn chasing his own kick and tackle the Tweed Coast fullback in the in-goal area to force a goal line drop-out.

Harry Chadburn forced a second Raiders goal line drop-out in the 45th minute when on the last tackle sixteen metres out and to the left of the play the ball, Harry Chadburn ran to the right of the dummy half to take the ball on the left down a short left blindside and put a right foot grubber kick onto the in-goal with the Tweed Coast right winger tackled in the in-goal area.

Lachlan Offley continued at fullback in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition for the Ballina Seagulls against the Mullumbimby Giants with Lachlan Offley scoring twice in a comprehensive Seagulls victory.

Lachlan Offley’s first try was a great long range individual effort in the 18th minute when after taking a Giants clearing kick on the full sixteen metres out from his own try line to the right of the uprights Lachlan Offley ran to his left before straightening up when near the centre of the field with Lachlan Offley charging straight through the centre of the Mullumbimby defensive line and then outpacing the cover defence including using a right arm fend to beat the fullback and score under the posts.

Lachlan Offley completed his double in the 33rd minute when after receiving an off-load from his right thirty two metres out, Lachlan Offley stepped off his left foot to beat one defender with Lachlan Offley producing a second left foot step to beat the fullback to score under the posts for the second time in the match.

Lachlan Offley made the first of two line breaks in the 33rd minute from a twenty metre tap restart with Lachlan Offley making twenty metres before being flung to ground with Lachlan Offley bouncing to his feet after the defender lost contact with Lachlan Offley then able to get the ball to the halfway mark.

Lachlan Offley made an additional line break in the 41st minute when Lachlan Offley ran onto the ball to the left of the dummy half before stepping off his left foot when ten metres from the halfway mark with Lachlan Offley then getting an off-load away to his right on the halfway mark.

In the 10th minute of the match Lachlan Offley collect a Mullumbimby kick on his own try line in front of his own goal posts and returned the kick through the centre of the field out to the thirty metre mark. Then in the 28th minute from the left of a Ballina scrum feed three metres inside his own territory Lachlan Offley carried the ball ten metres into Giants territory with Lachlan Offley then getting a right arm off-load away to his right when facing his own try line with Ballina scoring later in the same movement.

Lachlan Offley continued his strong match in the 38th minute with a hit-up to the right of the play the ball from forty metres from the try line to twenty nine metres out with Lachlan Offley then able to get an off-load away out the back. Then in the 47th minute from the right of the play the ball and twenty metres from his own try line Lachlan Offley stepped off his tight foot to target the area behind the ball the ball and get the ball forty metres out.

Ayden Byrnes also recorded a try assist in the 39th minute when after dummying to his left from dummy half, Ayden Byrnes ran in the same direction and after running straight through the centre of the defensive line from forty five metre out Ayden Byrnes drew the Cudgen fullback and got a pass away to his right to his lock who scored under the posts.

Creedence Donovan started at fullback for the Bilambil Jets against the Tweed Coast Raiders in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition with Creedence Donovan recording a try assist in the 46th minute when after running the ball to the left of the dummy half from twenty five metres from the try line to fourteen metres out, Creedence Donovan double pumped a pass to his left to put his left centre over to score five metres in from the left corner post.

Creedence Donovan also made a line break in the 39th minute when after taking a Tweed Coast clearing kick on the bounce ten metres out from his own try line, Creedence Donovan ran to his right to get on the outside of the Raiders left winger and raced down the right touchline to get the ball to within eight metres of the halfway mark.

Creedence Donovan also recorded an 18th minute line break assist when from twenty five metres out from his own try line and to the left of the play the ball Creedence Donovan threw a cut-out pass to his left to his winger who made it to near the halfway mark before being tackled but was awarded a penalty when the referee ruled that he was dragged into touch after the tackle had been completed.

Earlier in the 6th minute from the left of a Bilambil scrum win forty three metres out and near the centre of the field Creedence Donovan continued to run to his right upon receipt of the ball before cutting inside off his left foot to get the ball twenty four metres from the try line.

Creedence Donovan also made a good run in the 54th minute when after receiving the ball to the right of the dummy half twenty six metres from the try line, Creedence Donovan danced to his right before coming back to his left and broke five tackles as Creedence Donovan outsmarted the defence to get within two metres of the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

Creedence Donovan also made a good defensive read in the 4th minute to stop one of the Tweed Coast attackers right on the try line and was able to force a knock on ten metres to the left of the uprights.

Bo Peisley continued at halfback for the Murwillumbah Mustangs in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Cudgen Hornets with Bo Peisley recording an individual points haul of twenty points from a try and eight conversions with Bo Peisley kicking his first conversion in the 10th minute from ten metres in from the right touchline. Bo Peisley also kicked a 15th minute conversion from the left touchline.

Bo Peisley scored in the 52nd minute when after backing up a line break Bo Peisley received a pass from his right and ran twenty metres untouched to score under the posts with Bo Peisley then converting his own try.

Bo Peisley also recorded three try assists with the first coming in the 33rd minute when after receiving an off-load from his right forty metres out from his own try line, Bo Peisley ran the ball to ten metres into Cudgen territory and when confronted by the fullback Bo Peisley got a pass away to his right to his fullback who raced away to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

Bo Peisley added a second try assist in the 48th minute when from thirty eight metres out from his own try line Bo Peisley threw a pass to his right out of dummy half to his right centre and got the ball back on the halfway mark, Bo Peisley was then able to position his position fullback well and pass to him thirty metres out to score under the posts.

Bo Peisley’s third try assist arrived in the 59th minute when from the right of the play the ball Bo Peisley threw a long pass to put his right centre into a gap to score from ten metres out and ten metres in from the right corner post.

In the 12th minute from the right of the play the ball and three metres inside his own territory I the centre of the field Bo Peisley drove a right foot kick over the left touchline just two metres from the left corner post. Then in the 55th minute Bo Peisley put up a high floating bomb from the centre of the field and thirty metres out to his right with his right centre taking the ball on the full ten metres out and then got a pass away for his right winger to score in the corner.

Noah Waldock continued at five eight for the Ballina Seagulls in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Mullumbimby Giants with Noah Waldock scoring in the 53rd minute when after receiving an off-load from his right eight metres from the try line Noah Waldock had an easy run to put the ball down six metres to the right of the goal posts.

Noah Waldock also recorded a line break assist in the 56th minute when from the right of the play the ball and twenty metres from his own try line, Noah Waldock threw a cut-out pass to his right to put his right centre away down the right touchline to thirty metres from the try line. Then after receiving the ball to the left of the subsequent play the ball Noah Waldock put a right foot grubber kick into the in-goal area which was forced by Mullumbimby under their own goal posts to force a goal line drop-out.

Noah Waldock had also forced a Giants goal line drop-out earlier in the match in the 8th minute with a right foot grubber kick into the in-goal from ten metres out with Kye Cooper trapping the Mullumbimby fullback in-goal. Noah Waldock then took the subsequent drop-out on the full and return the ball to within twenty metres of the try line. In October 2022 Sonny Kilduff was named in the 2023 Northern Rivers Titans U16 Andrew Johns Cup squad with Sonny Kilduff part of the Northern Rivers Titans squad that played the Tweed Heads Seagulls CC Cup squad in a trial at Burleigh Juniors as part of the Titans Annual Super Saturday series of matches.

Round One of the 2023 U16 Andrew Johns Cup competition saw Sonny Kilduff named at lock for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights with Sonny Kilduff working hard in the centre third of the field in his two stints on the field.

Sonny Kilduff was then named to start from the bench in Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Sonny Kilduff coming onto the field in the 25th minute before Sonny Kilduff was named on the Northern Rivers Titans extended bench for Round Three against the South Coast Dragons.

Sonny Kilduff also started from the bench in Round Four against the Northern Tigers with Sonny Kilduff playing in the front row when he came onto the field when he came onto the field in the 21st minute with Sonny Kilduff making a strong eighteen metre run to the right of the play the ball after receiving the pass from the dummy half on the halfway mark.

Round Two of the 2023 Group Two U18 competition saw Sonny Kilduff start in the centres against Macksville and Sonny Kilduff also started in the centres in Round Three against Woolgoolga as well as the Round Four local derby against the South Grafton Rebels.

Samuel Petch continued at fullback in the Round Four local derby against the Grafton Ghosts with Samuel Petch scoring an 11th try in a tough two point loss for the Rebels.

Samuel Petch then moved positions, starting Round Five against Macksville at five eight with Samuel Petch kicking a conversion for the Rebels. Samuel Petch also started a five eight in Round Six against Woolgoolga and Round Seven against the Sawtell Panthers with Samuel Petch one of the Rebels try scorers in their 32 – 10 victory.

Samuel Petch also started at five eight in Round Nine against Nambucca Heads with Samuel Petch kicking three conversions from four attempts in a 22 – 12 Rebels victory. Samuel Petch continued at five eight and kicked two key conversions in a Round Eleven local derby 16 – 10 victory over the Grafton Ghosts.

Samuel Petch continued at five eight in Round Twelve against Macksville with Samuel Petch kicking one conversion from two attempts. Round Thirteen against Woolgoolga saw Samuel Petch continue at five eight, scoring a try and kicking three conversions in a Rebels 16 – 18 victory.

Samuel Petch also had a big Round Fourteen against the Sawtell Panthers when whilst starting at five eight Samuel Petch scored two tries and kicked two conversions in a big 60 – 10 victory.

Samuel Petch also started at five eight as the Rebels season came to an end with an Elimination Final loss against Woolgoolga.

Samuel Petch finished the 2023 Group Two U18 season as the competition’s equal fourth leading points scorer with sixty points.

Billy Kilduff is also U18 Laurie Daley Cup eligible in 2024 with Billy Kilduff part of the Northern Rivers Titans squad that played the Tweed Heads Seagulls in a trial at Burleigh Juniors as part of the Titans Annual Super Saturday series of matches.

Round One of the 2023 U18 Laurie Daley Cup competition saw Bo Billy Kilduff named on the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights with Billy Kilduff coming onto the field in the 52nd minute in the left second row position and performing well especially from a defensive perspective as the Northern Rivers Titans held on for a 24 – 20 tense and hard fought victory.

Billy Kilduff was also named on the Northern Rivers Titans bench for Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Billy Kilduff playing right second row after coming onto the field in the 50th minute.

Round Nine against Macksville saw Billy Kilduff come off the bench for the Ghosts with Billy Kilduff then moving back into the starting line-up on the wing in the Round Eleven local derby against the South Grafton Rebels.

Round Two of the 2023 Group Two U18 competition saw Billy Kilduff start in the second row against Macksville and Billy Kilduff also started in the second row in Round Three against Woolgoolga.

Round Four against the Sawtell Panthers saw Billy Kilduff move to fullback with the move paying off with Billy Kilduff scoring in a big Ghosts victory. Billy Kilduff also started at fullback in the Round Four local derby against the South Grafton Rebels.

Billy Kilduff continued at fullback in Round Five against the Coffs Harbour Comets with Billy Kilduff scoring a double in a tough four point loss 20 – 16 by the Ghosts. Jayden Wright score his opening try in the 77th minute with a hard straight run from six metres out from an inside pass from Elliott Speed to crash over between three defenders to get the ball down seven metres in from the right corner post.

Jayden Wright scored his second try in the 80th minute when Jayden Wright followed through a Tweed Heads grubber kick into the in-goal and after dealing with a high bounce of the ball Jayden Wright took possession and got the ball down under the posts.

Jayden Wright also made a line break in the 74th minute when after running onto a good ball from his left from Nicholas Hilton surged froward from the halfway mark to thirty metres from the try line with his run incorporating a counter clockwise spin.

Jayden Wright had taken the second hit-up of the match to get the ball to the twenty six metres mark and also backed up to take the fourth hit-up to carry the ball to within five metres of the halfway mark.

Tanu Nona continued off the bench for Tweed Heads in Round Sixteen of the HDC against the Sunshine Coast Falcons and after coming onto the field to operate at dummy half in the 28th minute Tanu Nona was held up on a staggering three occasions.

Tanu Nona was held up over the try line initially in the 48th minute when after running out of dummy half to his right from three metres out, Tanu Nona was held up under the posts.

Tanu Nona was held up for a second time in the 61st minute when after running out of dummy half to his right from thirteen metres out, Tanu Nona was held up mid-way between the corner post and goal posts on the right side of the field.

Tanu Nona made it held up over the try line three times in the 65th minute when Tanu Nona was held up next to the left upright after a four metres run out of dummy half to his left.

In the 60th minute after running out of dummy half to his right Tanu Nona did well to get the ball from twenty eight metres from his own try line to forty two metres out. Then in the 73rd minute Tanu Nona ran to his left out of dummy half to carry the ball from twenty metres to thirty five metres out from his try line.

EJ Finau continued from the bench for the Burleigh Bears in Round Sixteen of the HDC against the Townsville Blackhawks with EJ Finau scoring in the 52nd minute when from a metre from the try line EJ Finau ran to his right out of dummy half to crash over to score four metres to the right of the uprights.

After coming onto the field to operate in the front row early in the second half EJ Finau made his initial hit-up soon after to the right of a Burleigh penalty restart to carry the ball from the halfway mark to thirty seven metres from the try line. Then in the 50th minute from the right of the play the ball EJ Finau got to fourteen metres from the try line in the centre of the field after commencing his run thirty one metres out.

Jeremaiah Temapo continued on the left wing for Burleigh in Round Sixteen of the HDC against the Townsville Blackhawks with Jeremaiah Temapo running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half in the 5th minute to carry the ball through the centre of the field from his own thirty two metres mark to forty four metres out.

In the 36th minute from the left of the play the ball Jeremaiah Temapo carried the ball from the halfway mark to thirty seven metres out from the try line then in the 39th minute from the left of the dummy half got the ball from his own twenty metre mark to the thirty three metre mark.

Jeremaiah Temapo, in the 55th minute and from the left of the play the ball got the ball out to the thirty seven metre mark from his own twenty three metre mark. Then in the 73rd minute from the left of the dummy half was able to get the ball six metres into Townsville territory from eight metres inside his own territory.

Joseph Shannon continued from the bench for Burleigh in Round Sixteen of the HDC against the Townsville Blackhawks coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 27th minute.
In the 36th minute from the left of the play the ball Joseph Shannon ran the ball from thirty eight metres out to thirty metres with Joseph Shannon getting then getting a great left arm off-load away to his left. Joseph Shannon then took the hit-up from the subsequent play the ball from twenty three metres out to eleven metres before getting another off-load away.
The 41st minute then saw Joseph Shannon run onto the ball to the left of the dummy half from twenty metres out from his own try line to thirty three metres out. A minute later Joseph Shannon backed up with another hit-up to the left of the play the ball to get the ball from thirty metres from the try line to within thirteen metres before getting a left arm off-load away to his right with three defenders trying to bring Joseph Shannon to ground.
Joseph Shannon rounded out a solid match in the 50th minute with a nineteen metre run from the forty metre mark.

In 2023 Tyson Tai lined up for Logan Brothers in the BJRL U13 Division One competition with Tyson Tai starting the majority of his matches at hooker although Tyson Tai started at lock in Round Four against Redcliffe and at five eight in Week One of the Finals also against Redcliffe.

In the 2023 BJRL U13 Division One competition Tyson Tai scored ten tries and kicked twenty conversions for an individual points haul of sixty points.

Tyson Tai scored and hat trick in Round Nine against Carina and also scored doubles in Round Eleven against Redcliffe and Round Twelve against Albany Creek. Tyson Tai also scored in Round One against Greenbank, Round Eight against Norths and Round Thirteen against Souths.

Tyson Tai also kicked six conversions against Souths in Round Six, four conversions in Round Eight against Norths and kicked two conversions on three occasions being against Greenbank in Round One, Carina in Round Nine and Easts in Round Ten.

In May 2023 Tyson Tai was named in the Brisbane Junior Rugby U14 Representative squad.

In 2022 Tyson Tai was named in the QRSS U12 School Boy Rugby League Boys Representative Team after representing Met East out of Marsden SHS.

Tyson Tai also played rugby in 2022 with Tyson Tai playing “up” in the BJRU U13 Division One competition for the Logan Saints, including starting at inside centre (No. 12) against the Ipswich Rangers.

2022 also saw Tyson Tai named in the U13 Brisbane Junior Rugby Representative side for the Queensland Junior Rugby State Championships.

2023 saw Simione Tauelingi play for the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U15 Division One competition including starting at left second row in the Grand Final against the Burleigh Bears.

In the 14th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half Simione Tauelingi was able to promote the ball from twenty three metres out from the try line to ten metres out with Simione Tauelingi then getting an off-load away to his left. Then in the 41st minute from the left of the play the ball Simione Tauelingi ran the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to two metres inside Burleigh territory.

Simione Tauelingi followed up with another run in the 47th minute when after collecting the ball from a Burleigh short kick-off to the Tigers left, Simione Tauelingi was able to break to his left to run the ball down the left touchline and get the ball to within five metres of the halfway mark.

Simione Tauelingi, defensively in the 6th minute made a big front on tackle on the Burleigh right second rower No. 11 from a Bears penalty restart ten metres out from the try line.

2023 saw ZJ Watene continue at the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U15 Division One competition including starting at halfback in the Grand Final against the Burleigh Bears with ZJ Watene recording two try assists in a big 42 – 6 Tigers victory.

ZJ Watene recorded his initial try assist of the Grand Final in the 14th minute when after running the ball out of dummy half down a short left blindside from ten metres out, ZJ Watene when three metres from the try line threw a cut-out pass to his left to his winger over to score in the corner.

ZJ Watene recorded his second try assist in the when after receiving the ball to the left of the dummy half ten metres from the try line ZJ Watene continued to run to his left before throwing a hard flat cut-out pass to his left to Storm Enoka who ran an inside shoulder route to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

ZJ Watene did well defensively in the 9th minute to chase down the Burleigh left centre from behind after a line break with ZJ Watene getting to him thirty six metres out from the try line.

Earlier in the 4th minute Storm Enoka made a good yardage carry from ten metres out from his own try line to twenty metres out after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball.

Joshua Donovan-Skinner continued at fullback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Byron Bay Devils with Joshua Donovan-Skinner recording a try assist in the 46th minute when after taking a Byron Bay clearing kick on the full wide to the right of his goal posts and just ten metres from his own try line, Joshua Donovan-Skinner ran to his left, steeping off his right foot on a number of occasions and when he had gotten to within five metres of the halfway mark, Joshua Donovan-Skinner threw a long flat pass to his left to put his left centre on a fifty five metre run to score in the left corner.

In the 14th minute from the right of a Tweed Heads scrum win Joshua Donovan-Skinner took possession of the ball eight metres out from his own try line and was able to crash and barge his way out to the twenty eight metre mark.

Then in the 19th minute from the right of the play the ball Joshua Donovan-Skinner, from twenty three metres out cut inside then away to his right to gain separation from the defensive line and as a consequence Joshua Donovan-Skinner was able to carry the ball to within a metre of the try line and after a quick play the ball by Joshua Donovan-Skinner, the Seagulls scored out of dummy half.

Also in the 24th minute after running out of dummy half to his left Joshua Donovan-Skinner was able to get the ball from his own thirty metre mark to within three metres of the halfway mark.

Sammy Samson is still on the very young side but in 2023 Marsden SHS got a very talented young rugby league and rugby player in Sammy Samson who joined the Titans partnered Marsden SHS Rugby League Excellence Program.

Sammy Samson played in the School Boy Rugby League Bronco’s Old Boys competition for Marsden SHS including starting in the 2023 Grand Final at five eight against Mabel Park SHS.

In May 2023 Sammy Samson was also named in the Brisbane Junior Rugby U13 Representative squad.

Micah Leaupepe Perkins continued at left centre for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Byron Bay Devils with Micah Leaupepe Perkins scoring the first of his two tries in the 25th minute when after receiving the ball to the left of the play the ball and fourteen metres out, Micah Leaupepe Perkins proved to be too big, strong and fast for the Byron Bay defence to score five metres in from the left corner post.

Micah Leaupepe Perkins completed his double in the 46th minute when after receiving the ball from his inside from Joshua Donovan-Skinner, Micah Leaupepe Perkins flashed fifty five metres down the left touchline to score in the left corner.

Micah Leaupepe Perkins also recorded a try assist in the 34th minute when after taking possession of the ball wide out on the left sixteen metres out, Micah Leaupepe Perkins continued to run to his left and after drawing the Devils right winger Micah Leaupepe Perkins passed to his left winger who dived over to score in the corner.

Titans contracted Jimmy McCombie continued at halfback for the Byron Bay Devils in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Jimmy McCombie recording a line break assist in the 58th minute when after taking possession of the ball thirty nine metres out from his own try line and to the right of the play the ball, Jimmy McCombie continued to run the ball to his right and when he had gotten two metres inside Seagulls territory Jimmy McCombie got a pass away to his right to put his winger on a long run down the right touchline.

Earlier in the 9th minute after taking possession of the ball from an off-load from one of his forwards forty two metres from the try line, Jimmy McCombie immediately ran to his left and ran to within eight metres of the try line and ten metres in from the right touchline.

Jimmy McCombie did well defensively in the 12th minute when after the Tweed Heads hooker ran to his right out of dummy half in the last tackle, Jimmy McCombie hit the hooker just as he was able to kick the ball to force a change over just inside his own territory. Then in the 40th minute Jimmy McCombie executed a bit hit on the Seagulls No. 8 and then again in the 44th minute Jimmy McCombie affected a good tackle on the Tweed Heads fullback five metres out from the try line.

2023 saw Titans contracted Kalani Patu continue at the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U15 Division One competition including starting at right second row in the Grand Final against the Burleigh Bears with Kalani Patu making a line break in the 40th minute when after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half Kalani Patu cutting back to his left on the halfway mark with Kalani Patu beating two defenders including one with a powerful left arm fend to get the ball to twenty nine metres out from the try line.

Kalani Putu made the first of his strong runs in the 7th minute from the left of the play the ball with Kalani Patu able to promote the ball from thirteen metres out from his own try line to thirty metres out.

In the 24th minute Kalani Patu made a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty four metre mark then later in the same set of six tackles Kalani Patu ran onto the ball to the left of the play the ball to get the ball from five metres inside his own territory to eight metres inside Burleigh territory.

Then in the 27th minute after receiving the ball from an off-load thirty eight metres out from his own try line Kalani Patu was able to get the ball three metres into Bears territory before Kalani Patu was able to get a right arm off-load away to his left.

Kalani Patu continued his good Grand Final in the 33rd minute when after being on hand to take a pass from a team mate thirty four metres out from his own try line Kalani Patu broke four tackles as he got to within twelve metres of the try line before being able to get an off-load away to his left.

In the Grand Final the Burleigh players just did not protect the ball with Kalani Patu executing a number of one on one steals with the first coming in the 10th minute when after the Bears left second rower No. 11 was returning a kick-off Kalani Patu stripped the ball one on one twelve metres out from the try line.

Kalani Patu made another one on one steal in the 21st minute to gain possession for Southport thirty metres out from the try line.

2023 saw Titans contracted Jai Billish continue at the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U15 Division One competition including starting at five eight in the Grand Final against the Burleigh Bears with Jai Billish scoring in the 22nd minute when to the right of the dummy half, Jai Billish received the ball eighteen metres out with Jai Billish taking the defensive line on, Jai Billish when eleven metres out threw a dummy to his right and sliced between two defenders to score five metres to the right of the goal posts.

Jai Billish also recorded a try assist in the 36th minute but you have to go back a play to detail Jai Billish’s total involvement. From thirty two metres out from his own try line and to the right of the dummy half, Jai Billish made a half break and after getting to the halfway mark, Jai Billish got a right arm flick off-load away to his right with the Tigers centre getting further downfield. Jai Billish, after moving into dummy half ran to his right and after making ten metres Jai Billish once again produced a right arm flick off-load to his right centre to put him into a gap to score under the posts.

Jai Billish then recorded a second try assist in the 46th minute when after running the ball from forty metres out and to the right of the dummy half Jai Billish ran the ball to just over the halfway mark before getting a great off-load away in traffic to his right to Treleque Boyce-Silimaka who charged away to put the ball down ten metres in from the right corner post.

Jai Billish also ran the ball well himself in the 54th minute when after a Burleigh lost ball, Jai Billish received an off-load forty metres out from his own try line and was able to get the ball three metres into Burleigh territory.

2023 saw Titans contracted Gazniah To’omaga continue to play for the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U15 Division One competition including starting at lock in the Grand Final against the Burleigh Bears with Gazniah To’omaga scoring a powerhouse solo try in the 54th minute when after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half from twenty four metres out from his own try line, Gazniah To’omaga dummied to his right and at the same time Gazniah To’omaga stepped off his right foot and after brushing away two defenders Gazniah To’omaga got rid of the Burleigh fullback near the try lien and crashed over to score five metres to the left of the goal posts.

Gazniah To’omaga also made a line break in the 13th minute when after receiving the ball from the dummy half from his right, Gazniah To’omaga shaped to pass to his left before running himself and after bursting through the defensive line as a result of a left foot step, Gazniah To’omaga executed another left foot step to beat the Bears fullback with Gazniah To’omaga pushing off another defender before being brought down in front of the posts twelve metres out. Gazniah To’omaga was then awarded a penalty due to ruck interference.

Gazniah To’omaga, in the 17th minute made a line break from a Burleigh penalty restart made a smart one on one strip thirty metres out from the try line and then ran down the left touchline with and broke three tackles before being taken into touch thirty metres out from the try line at the opposite end of the field.

Gazniah To’omaga then made a third line break in the 41st minute when from the right of the play the ball Gazniah To’omaga, from forty metres from his own try line, subtlety stepped off his left foot to break through the Burleigh defensive line with rumbling downfield and beating multiple tackles including running over the top of the fullback before being brought to ground ten metres out and in front of the goal posts.

Gazniah To’omaga took the second hit-up of the match after the kick-off with Gazniah To’omaga getting the ball out to the thirty three metre out. Gazniah To’omaga then backed up to also take the fourth hit-up with Gazniah To’omaga carrying the ball from his own forty metre mark to five metres inside Burleigh territory.

Then in the 14th minute from the left of the play the ball Gazniah To’omaga ran the ball from forty four metres from the try line to thirty metres out. Then in the 16th minute from the left of the play the ball once again Gazniah To’omaga was able to get the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to nine metres inside Burleigh territory.

Gazniah To’omaga continued his outstanding match in the 36th minute with a run through the centre of the field from ten metres out from his own try line to twenty three metres out. One of the better young hookers on the Gold Coast is Runaway Bay and Keebra Park SHS's Deshawn Compton and a try that he scored in the 12th minute of Round One of the School Boy Rugby League Renouf Cup against Wavell SHS is a small sample of just how good Deshawn Compton is.

After moving out of dummy half to his left, Deshawn Compton dummied in the same direction before darting forward to burrow over from four metres out to get the ball down mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Round Fourteen of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Mullumbimby Giants saw Rowan Mansfield continue on the right wing for the Ballina Seagulls with Rowan Mansfield scoring four of the Seagulls eight tries in a big Ballina win with Rowan Mansfield scoring all four of his tries in the first half.

Rowan Mansfield scored his opening try in the 7th minute when after bursting between two tackles forty two metres from the try line Rowan Mansfield cut inside off his right foot twenty six metres out and after outpacing the fullback, Roan Mansfield beat another cover defender coming on from his left with Rowan Mansfield scoring eight metres to the right of the uprights.

Rowan Mansfield scored his second try in the 12th minute from thirty metres when after a Mullumbimby pass when to ground Rowan Mansfield kicked the ball forward and after getting a great bounce two metres from the try line Rowan Mansfield scored ten metres in from the right corner post.

Rowan Mansfield scored his third try in the 14th minute when after receiving the ball ten metres out and on the right touchline, Rowan Mansfield stepped inside off his right foot to beat his opposing winger and score six metres in from the right corner post.

Rowan Mansfield scored his fourth try in the 40th minute when Rowan Mansfield collected a chip kick to his wing on the bounce four metres out in front of his opposing winger to score in the right corner.

Harvey Moase kicked three conversions from as many attempts after starting at halfback for the Cudgen Hornets in Round Fourteen of the First Grade NRRRL competition against the Murwillumbah Mustangs with Harvey Moase kicking his initial conversion from five metres to the right of the goal posts in the 31st minute. Harvey Moase kicked his second conversion from directly in front of the posts in the 58th minute before adding a third conversion from a metre to the left of the goal posts in the 71at minute.

Harvey Moase also forced a goal line drop-out in the 69th minute when from ten metres out and from the right of the play the ball Harvey Moase put in a right foot chip towards the right corner with the Mustangs left winger trapped in-goal.

Matthew Bollard continued at right centre for the Murwillumbah Mustangs in Round Fourteen of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Cudgen Hornets with Matthew Bollard having a strong defensive match including a try saving tackle in the 8th minute when Matthew Bollard raced to his right and after initially holding up the Cudgen left winger over the try line, Matthew Bollard forced him over the right side line.

Matthew Bollard followed up with another try saving effort in the 25th minute when just as the Hornets left second rower (No. 11) was about to reach out and put the ball down Matthew Bolalrd slide in and forced the ball loose literally right on the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

In early March 2023 Chris Vaimili was named in the Met East U15 School Boy Rugby League Representative Squad even though Chris Vaimili is still U14 eligible in 2023 with Chris Vaimili starting from the bench on Day One against Met West with Chris Vaimili scoring in the 42nd minute when after receiving a great pass from his left when twelve metres out Chris Vaimili ran a hard straight line and was then able to bring the ball around to put the ball down under the posts.

Chris Vaimili also started from the bench on Day Two against Peninsula with Chris Vaimili coming onto the field to operate on the right in the 28th minute.

Chris Vaimili continued from the bench on Day Three against Darling Downs with Chris Vaimili playing at left centre in the second half.

Chris Vaimili then started from the bench in the 2023 QSSRL U15 School Boy Grand Final against South Coast with Chris Vaimili operating on the left wing.

In 2023 Chris Vaimili continued to play with Logan Brothers in the BJRL U14 Division One competition with Chris Vaimili operating primarily in the centres except for Round Nine against Tigers when Chris Vaimili started at fullback.

In the 2023 BJRL U14 Division One regular season Chris Vaimili scored twelve tries included an impressive four tries in Round Seven against Wests Arana Hills. Chris Vaimili also scored two tries in Round Twelve against the Waterford Demons and in Week One of the Finals against Norths.

Chris Vaimili also scored in matches against Easts in Round Two, Waterford in Round Three, Redcliffe in Round Four and Logan Brothers in Round Thirteen.

In addition to his twelve tries Chris Vaimili kicked two conversions with both coming in Round Nine against the Easts Tigers.

Chris Vaimili then started in the centres in Logan Brothers 26 – 22 Preliminary Final victory against Norths.

Chris Vaimili started at fullback and kicked two conversions in Logan Brothers 2023 GBJRL U14 Division One Grand Final victory against Logan Brothers.

In early November 2022 Chris Vaimili commenced training with the Titans JTS Logan based U14 Academy in a big coup for the Titans. In early December 2022 Chris Vaimili played for the Titans U14 Logan Academy in a trial match against the Titans U14 Gold Coast Academy with both Titans Academies wearing Titans jerseys in the trial that was held in the Gold Coast.

At the 2022 Marsden SHS Rugby League Specialisation Awards Night, Chris Vaimili was named in the centres in the 2022 Marsden SHS Rugby League Team of the Year after an exceptional season for Marsden SHS in the Renouf Shield School Boy Rugby League competition with Marsden SHS progressing all of the way to the Grand Final against fellow Titans Partnered Keebra Park SHS.

2022 also saw Chris Vaimili once again line up for the Logan Brothers Junior Rugby League club in the GBJRL U13 Division One competition including starting at fullback in the Elimination Final victory 54 – 4 against Norths Juniors with Chris Vaimili kicking a conversion in the big Logan Brothers win.

Chris Vaimili also started at fullback in the Preliminary Final against the Souths Acacia Ridge Magpies with Chris Vaimili scoring a double in a big Logan Brothers victory.

Chris Vaimili also started at fullback in the Week Two Semi-Final match against the Redcliffe Dolphins with Chris Vaimili recording a try assist in the 46th minute when from a Logan Brothers scrum win in the centre of the field and around twenty metres out, Chris Vaimili running to his right drawing in the Dolphins left winger before putting his right winger over in the corner.

The 2022 GBJRL U14 Division One Grand Final saw Chris Vaimili named at start at fullback for Logan Brothers against the Redcliffe Dolphins with Logan Brothers scoring an impressive 26 – 14 victory in a high quality match.

Chris Vaimili had some impressive matches for Logan Brothers in the 2022 GBJRL U13 Division One competitions regular season including a two try effort against the Waterford Demons. Chris Vaimili’s opening try of the match came when Chris Vaimili received the ball on the right side of the field and from twenty metres out Chris Vaimili cut off his right foot to break the defensive line to score six metres to the right of the uprights.

Chris Vaimili’s second try came after he picked up a dropped Waterford ball in the centre of the field and broke two tackles on his way to scoring under the posts.

Chris Vaimili finished the GBJRL U13 Division One season as the competition’s third leading try scorer with an impressive sixteen tries.

The exceptionally talented strike centre or fullback played for Titans partnered Marsden State High School in the 2021 Bronco’s Old Boys Cup, including scoring a double from left centre in the 2021 Grand Final as Marsden accounted for Ipswich State High School 46 – 12.

Chris Vaimili scored his opening try of the Grand Final just the 3rd minute of the match when he received a pass from his inside from Storm Enoka with Chris Vaimili crossing five metres in from the left corner.

Chris Vaimili completed his double in the 15th minute when once again he received a pass from his inside from Storm Enoka with Chris Vailmili diving over in the left corner.

Then early in the second half, Chris Vaimili made a strong line break down the left touchline from inside his own territory to get well over the halfway mark but making twenty five metres.

At the 2021 Marsden State High School Rugby League Excellence Awards, Chris Vaimilli was named in the centres in the Marsden State High School Team of the Year and was also awarded the Junior Boys Sports Person of the Year. The fact that Chris Vaimilli kept William Semu out of the starting side really does highlight the quality and depth of the Titans Partnered Rugby League Excellence Program.

After the completion of the Walters Cup Grand Final Chris Vaimili was named at left centre in the Courier Mail Team of the School Boy Grand Finals.

It was not just in the 2021 Bronco’s Old Boys Grand Final where Chris Vaimili excelled, in the regular season also against Ipswich State High School, Chris Vaimili had a “career” match scoring a staggering four tries in a big Marsden SHS victory.

Chris Vaimili’s first try came in just the 4th minute when he backed up a break by Marlee Smith to receive the off-load and dive over in the left corner.

Chris Vaimili’s second try came in the 15th minute when once again he dived over in the left corner after being on the end of a good ball from Jeremaih Toko who had chimed into the back line on the left.

The 19th minute saw Chris Vaimili complete his hat trick when after receiving a cut-out pass from ZJ Watene, Chris Vaimili charged into a big gap before utilising a left foot step to beat the Ipswich SHS fullback to put the ball down mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Chris Vaimili made it four tries in the match in the 38th minute when after receiving the ball thirty five metres out from the try line and breaking the defensive line down the left touchline before cutting off his left foot and outpacing the cover defence to get the ball down mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Chris Vaimili almost scored a fifth try in the 34th minute when from a Marsden SHS scrum win five metres inside their own territory Chris Vaimili charged onto the ball, running an inside shoulder route, going straight through the Ipswich SHS right sided defence with Chris Vaimili racing away only to be brought down just three metres out from the try line.

2021 also saw Chris Vaimili named in the Queensland School Boy U12 Rugby League Merit Team after representing Met East in the trials.

Round One of the 2023 School Boy Hancock Cup competition saw Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu start in the second row in Round One for Keebra Park SHS against Wavell SHS and Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu also started in the second row in Round Two against Ipswich SHS as well as in Round Three against Marsden SHS and Round Four against Redcliffe SHS as well as Round Five agaisnt Wavell SHS and Round Six against Stretton State College.

Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu also started in the second row in the Round Seven Gold Coast School Boy derby against PBC SHS.

In 2023 Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu continued to play with Logan Brothers in the BJRL U14 Division One competition with Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu starting the majority of his matches in the second row.

Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu scored a double in Round Five against the Waterford Demons and also scored in Round Twelve also against the Waterford and Round Seven against Wests Arana Hills.

Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu then started in the centres and scored in Logan Brothers 26 – 22 Preliminary Final victory against Norths.

Iraia Hakaraia-Ngamotu also started in the centres and scored in Logan Brothers 2023 GBJRL U14 Division One Grand Final victory against Souths.

In April 2023 Tipene Moyes played in the New Zealand Māori U13 Tournament with Tipene Moyes named in the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the Championships.

In 2023 Tipene Moyes lined up for Logan Brothers in the BJRL U13 Division One competition with Tipene Moyes finishing the season as the competitions regular season leading try scorer with twenty three tries whilst splitting time between starting in the second row and lock. Tipene Moyes was also the regular season competitions second leading points scorer with 132 points from twenty three tries and nineteen conversions.

Tipene Moyes scored an amazing five tries in Round Thirteen against Souths and also scored four tries against Souths in Round Six. Tipene Moyes also scored hat tricks in Round One against Greenback and Round Four against Redcliffe and also scored doubles in Round Eight against Norths and Round Fourteen against Aspley. Tipene Moyes also scored in Rounds Two and Nine against Carina and Round Ten against Easts.

From a goal kicking perspective Tipene Moyes kicked four conversions from as many attempts in Round Five against Albany Creek and three conversions in Round One against Greenbank and Round Eight against Norths, Tipene Moyes kicked two conversions on three sperate occasions as well.

Tipene Moyes also played a number of matches for Logan Brothers in the BJRL U14 Division One competition with his first match coming in Round Seven against Wests Arana Hills with Tipene Moyes starting on the wing and scoring for Logan Brothers. Tipene Moyes started on the wing in all of his U14 Division One match except for Week One of the Finals when he started from the bench.

In addition to scoring in Round Seven, Tipene Moyes also scored in Round Nine against Easts and Week One of the Finals against Norths.

Tipene Moyes then started on the wing in Logan Brothers 26 – 22 Preliminary Final victory against Norths.

Tipene Moyes also started on the wing, scoring a double in Logan Brothers 2023 GBJRL U14 Division One Grand Final victory against Souths.

In 2023 Tipene Moyes played in the School Boy Rugby League Bronco’s Old Boys competition for Marsden SHS including starting in the 2023 Grand Final at lock against Mabel Park SHS.

Tipene Moyes is another young player who has excelled in both rugby league and rugby who in 2022 was named in the QRSS U12 Rugby League Boys Representative Team after representing South Coast as well as the Brisbane Junior Rugby U12 Representative Program.

Tipene Moyes was also named in the Queensland Māori Tuakana U12 Rugby League Merit Team in 2022.

In 2023 even though he was still U14 eligible Cordell Kirk came off the bench for the Met West U15 School Boy Representative side at the Queensland School Boy Rugby League U15 State Championships.

2023 also saw Cordell Kirk line up for Souths in Brisbane Junior Rugby League U14 Division One competition with Cordell Kirk starting in the front row in all of his matches.

Cordell Kirk scored eight tries in the regular season including a double in Round Five against Norths. Cordell Kirk also scored against Norths in Rounds Three and Twelve, Aspley in Round Two, Easts in Round Four, Logan Brothers in Round Thirteen and Waterford in Round Fourteen.
Cordell Kirk also started in the front row in the 2023 GBJRL U14 Division One Grand Final against Logan Brothers.

Cordell Kirk also played a number of matches for Souths in the GBJRL U15 Division One competition with his first match being in Round Three against Aspley. Kordell Kirk also came off the bench in Round Fourteen against Beenleigh. Cordell Kirk made his only start in the second row in Round Ten against Aspley with Cordell Kirk also scoring in that match.

In 2023 Tyson Tai lined up for Logan Brothers in the BJRL U13 Division One competition with Tyson Tai starting the majority of his matches at hooker although Tyson Tai started at lock in Round Four against Redcliffe and at five eight in Week One of the Finals also against Redcliffe.

In the 2023 BJRL U13 Division One competition Tyson Tai scored ten tries and kicked twenty conversions for an individual points haul of sixty points.

Tyson Tai scored and hat trick in Round Nine against Carina and also scored doubles in Round Eleven against Redcliffe and Round Twelve against Albany Creek. Tyson Tai also scored in Round One against Greenbank, Round Eight against Norths and Round Thirteen against Souths.

Tyson Tai also kicked six conversions against Souths in Round Six, four conversions in Round Eight against Norths and kicked two conversions on three occasions being against Greenbank in Round One, Carina in Round Nine and Easts in Round Ten.

In May 2023 Tyson Tai was named in the Brisbane Junior Rugby U14 Representative squad.

In 2022 Tyson Tai was named in the QRSS U12 School Boy Rugby League Boys Representative Team after representing Met East out of Marsden SHS.

Tyson Tai also played rugby in 2022 with Tyson Tai playing “up” in the BJRU U13 Division One competition for the Logan Saints, including starting at inside centre (No. 12) against the Ipswich Rangers.

2022 also saw Tyson Tai named in the U13 Brisbane Junior Rugby Representative side for the Queensland Junior Rugby State Championships.

In early March 2023 Macguinness Tiananga was named in the Met West U15 School Boy Rugby League Representative side with Macguinness Tiananga named at five eight on Day One

Macguinness Tiananga also started at five eight on Day Two against Met East with Macguinness Tiananga recording a line break assist in the 10th minute when after taking possession of the ball forty two metres from the try line Macguinness Tiananga ran the ball down a short left blindside after drawing a defender out of the defensive line Macguinness Tiananga threw a good short ball to his left to put his left centre into a gap who subsequently drew the fullback and got the ball inside for the Met West left winger to score.

Macguinness Tiananga also started at five eight on Day Three against Northern as well as Day Four against Peninsula.

2023 also saw Macguinness Tiananga line up for Souths in Brisbaner Junior Rugby League U14 Division One competition with Macguinness Tiananga operating in a number of positions for the Magpies including fullback, centre and halfback.

Macguinness Tiananga scored in Round Two against Aspley and Round Seven against Waterford. Macguinness Tiananga also converted three tries in Round Three against Norths and a conversion in Round Nine against Wests Arana Hills.

Josiah Fa’aoso started in the front row for Queensland Maroon in Match One of the ASSRL U15 School Boy Championships against ACT School Boys with Josiah Fa’aoso making a multitude of powerful kick-off return in Queensland’s 38 – 4 victory with the first coming in the 5th minute when Josiah Fa’aoso was able to get the ball back to the twenty two metre mark.

Then in the 12th minute Josiah Fa’aoso broke one tackle as he got the ball out to the twenty eight metre mark from a kick-off return before two more kick-off returns in the 49th and 58th minutes saw Josiah Fa’aoso get the ball to the thirty metre mark on both occasions.

In the 8th minute after carry the ball back from a kick-off return to the twenty six metre mark, Josiah Fa’aoso, a tackle later received an off-load from his front row partner Christian Rivers and make twelve metres before getting a right arm off-load away to his left.

In the 5th minute of the match from the left of the play the ball Christian Rivers was able to promote the ball from thirty six metres out from the try line to the halfway mark with Christian Rivers then awarded a penalty after being held down too long. Then in the 38th minute from the right of the dummy half and forty two metres from the try line Christian Rivers broke three tackles as he got the ball to twenty metres out.

Christian Rivers followed up with a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the thirty eight metre mark, then in the 59th minute from the left of the play the ball ran the ball from eight metres inside his own territory to fifteen metres inside ACT territory.

Gazniah To’omaga started from the bench for Queensland Maroon in Match One of the ASSRL U15 School Boy Championships against ACT School Boys with Gazniah To’omaga coming on to operate at lock in the 21st minute and in the 25th minute from the left of the play the ball and seventeen metres out from his own try line Gazniah To’omaga was able to advance the ball out to the twenty nine metre mark.

A minute later in the 26th minute Gazniah To’omaga, from the left of the dummy half once again carried the ball from twenty seven metres out from his own try line to within ten metres of the halfway mark.

Defensively in the 36th minute Gazniah To’omaga put a big hit on the ACT front rower No. 10 thirty five metres out from the try line.

Majah Peachey completed his double in the 53rd minute when after flying off his own try line with the ACT play the ball less than a metre from the try line, Majah Peachey timed his run perfectly and after taking an intercept Majah Peachey ran ninety seven metres to score in the right corner.

Also in the 17th minute from a Queensland penalty restart Majah Peachey ran the ball from his own thirty metre mark to with three metres of the halfway mark with approximately 70% of the metres that Majah Peachey gained being post contact with the ACT defensive line.

Jack Hamilton scored in the Grand Final in the 14th minute when after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball ten metres out, Jack Hamilton contacted the Coomera defensive line and to gain a degree of separation, Jack Hamilton spun clockwise and crashed over to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

In late September 2023 Titans contracted Javon Andrews started at five eight for the Queensland City U17 team in their annual match against a Queensland Country U17 side with Javon Andrews showing his intelligence in the 2nd minute with a smart tip on of the ball. Faced with an opposition player in his face twenty metres out from the try line and an opportunity to his left, Javon Andrews did not even try to take possession of the ball as there was not time but instead palmed the ball to his left to look to exploit the space to his left.

Javon Andrews as able to create space to his left in the 26th minute when after taking possession of the ball down a short left blindside from the dummy half thirty four metres from the try line, Javon Andrews skipped to his left to get on the outside of his opposing defender and then draw in the Country right centre and off-load to his left to his left centre.

Javon Andrews ran the ball well himself in the 37th minute when after receiving the ball from his inside from the back of a City scrum win thirty five metres out from his own try line, Javon Andrews continued to run the ball to his left and after dummying to his inside and outside Javon Andrews carried the ball to the halfway mark.

In early September 2023 Titans contracted Bodhi Sharpley was named in the Queensland Country U17 squad for their annual match against Queensland City U17’s with Bodhi Sharpley starting the match from the bench and coming onto the field in the 11th minute and almost immediately Bodhi Sharpley took a hard yardage carry from the right of the play the ball on his own try line and get the ball to the tne metre mark.

In the 24th minute Bodhi Sharpley ran the onto the ball to the left of the dummy half and Bodhi Sharpley was able to carry the ball out from twenty metres from his own try line to thirty four metres out. Then in the 47th minute after receiving an off-load from his left, Bodhi Sharpley set sail downfield from forty two metres from the try line and was able to get to twenty one metres out before being collared from behind.

Bodhi Sharpley, in the 52nd minute from the left of the play the ball and two metres inside his own territory was able to promote the ball to ten metres into City territory.

Bodhi Sharpley’s impressive performance saw him named Player of the Match.

In early September 2023 Titans contracted Cooper Bai was named in the Queensland City U17 squad for their annual match against Queensland Country U17’s with Cooper Bai starting the match in the front row and coming close to scoring in the45th minute only to be held up two metres to the left of the goal posts after a six metre charge at the defensive line from the left of the play the ball.

Cooper Bai had made the opening tackle of the match from the kick-off before running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half to carry the ball from seventeen metres out from his own try line to thirty metres out in the 19th minute. Cooper Bai followed up with another carry in the 25th minute from the left of the play the ball to carry the ball nine metres inside Country territory after initiating his run five metres inside his own territory.

In the 38th minute from the right of the play the ball and thirteen metres from the try line Cooper Bai ran the ball to within seven metres before getting a good short ball away to his right to his lock who was only tripped up centremetres short of the try line. Two minutes earlier in the 36th minute Cooper Bai ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half from his own twenty metre mark and made twenty metred downfield with 70% of those metres being post contact.

Cooper Bai in the 66th minute was able to carry the ball from forty metres from the try line to seventeen metres out after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half and breaking three tackles.

In early September 2023 Titans contracted Sunny Kama was named in the Queensland City U17 squad for their annual match against Queensland Country U17’s with Sunny Kama starting the match on the right wing and making a line break in the 13th minute when after receiving the ball from his left five metres inside his own territory Sunny Kama broke the first of a number of tackles on the halfway mark before bursting between two defenders five metres inside Country territory with veering to his right to beat the fullback with Sunny Kama then brought down twenty three metres out from the try line.

Sunny Kama made City’s initial hit-up of the match in the 2nd minute with a run to the left of the play the ball after a change over with Sunny Kama getting the ball to with twenty two metres of the try line in the centre of the field. Then in the 4th minute from a City penalty restart Sunny Kama was able to get the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to six metres into Country territory.

In the 17th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half made thirteen metres to the fort metre mark after cutting back inside. Sunny Kama then backed up with a strong carry from a City twenty metre restart to promote the ball to the thirty three metre mark.

Then in the 57th minute from the right of the play the ball Sunny Kama was able to produce a yardage carry from thirty two metres out from his own try line to within three metres of the halfway mark.

Sunny Kama did well defensively in the 3rd minute to run down his opposing winger from behind after he had made a line break with Sunny Kama cutting him down thirty three metres out from the try line.

Sunny Kama also did well in the 19th minute to charge through and jump high to take a short, contested City gaol line drop-out to his side of the field on the full between defenders eighteen metres from his own try line.

Derek Ahwang also scored hat tricks in Round Four against Easts and Round Thirteen against Logan Brothers.

Derek Ahwang also scored in Round Two against Aspley, Round Five against Norths, Round Nine against Wests Arana Hills and Round Fourteen against Waterford.

Keebra Park SHS’s VJ Letalu was named in the 2023 Queensland U15 White School Boys Rugby League side to contest the 2023 Australian U15 School Boys Championships.

VJ Letalu started on the left wing in Queensland White’s Match One 10 – 8 victory against New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges.

VJ Letalu then started from the bench in Match Two against New South Wales Combined High Schools with VJ Letalu coming onto the field to operate on the right wing for the second half with VJ Letalu scoring in the 47th minute when VJ Letalu running out of dummy half from ten metres out down a short right blindside to crash over to score three metres in from the right corner post.

In early September 2023 Titans contracted Corey Pearce was named in the Queensland City U17 squad for their annual match against Queensland Country U17’s with Corey Pearce starting the match at hooker and scoring in the 35th minute when after running out of dummy half to his right thirty two metres from the try line Corey Pearce dummied to his right and then stepped off his left foot and after beating the Country fullback Corey Pearce was brought down from behind just short of the try line but when not held, Corey Pearce was able to get partially to his feet and dive over to get the ball down four metres to the left of the goal posts.

Defensively Corey Pearce made the second tackle of the tackle with a driving left shoulder hit that drove his opponent three metres back inside his own twenty metre area, with Corey Pearce backing up to also make the third tackle of the match.

In early September 2023 Jac Finnigan was named in the Queensland City U17 squad for their annual match against Queensland Country U17’s with Jac Finnigan starting the match at left second row with Jac Finnigan scoring in the 49th minute when after receiving the ball eleven metres out from the try line three passes to the left of the dummy half, Jac Finnigan engaged two defenders and after pushing them away Jac Finnigan cut back inside when still ten metres out and after beating another defender Jac Finnigan charged between defenders to get the ball down two metres to the left of the goal posts.

In the 26th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball Jac Finnigan ran straight over the top of one defender as he carried the ball from four metres inside Country territory to within thirty two metres of the try line.

Jac Finnigan made a strong driving tackle in the 32nd minute when with Country attacking the City try line, Jac Finnigan raced out of the defensive line to smash the Country halfback and drive him back to twenty two metres from the try line.

Then in the 62nd minute Jac Finnigan ran the ball down the left channel from twenty one metres out from his own try line to thirty five metres out.
