In late July 2023 Elijah Tagiilima started on the right wing for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Elijah Tagiilima scoring in the 65th minute to lock the scores up at 18 all as a result of a spectacular and acrobatic dive to get the ball down in the right corner with the ball in his right arm after receiving a pass from his inside from Brock Lennox and race eight metres before his spectacular dive.

Elijah Tagiilima also made a line break in the 47th minute when after taking a long North Queensland clearing kick on the full five metres out from his own try line, Elijah Tagiilima returned the kick to his right and after getting on the outside of his opposing winger, Elijah Tagiilima charged down the right touchline to get to the twenty four metre mark.

In the 4th minute Elijah Tagiilima ran to his right out of dummy half to get the ball from twenty seven metres away from his own try line to within eleven metres of the halfway mark.

Elijah Tagiilima did well defensively in the 13th minute when along with Brock Lennox, Elijah Tagiilima was able to force the ball loose from, the grasp of the North Queensland left centre over the try line to prevent a Cowboys try five metres in from the right corner post.

Elijah Tagiilima also did well in the 23rd minute when he came forward to take a dipping North Queensland goal line drop-out on the full with Elijah Tagiilima then able to get the ball to within twenty five metres of the try line.

Elijah Tagiilima continued his strong match in the 27th minute with a carry from just six metres out from his own try line and to the right of the play the ball an after a strong run that saw Elijah Tagiilima continuing to force his way forward after contact with the defensive line and get the ball out to the twenty metre mark.

The 53rd minute saw Elijah Tagiilima take possession of the ball two passes to eth left of a Titans scrum win from forty metres out, with Elijah Tagiilima breaking two tackles as he promoted the ball to three metres into North Queensland territory.

The 53rd minute saw Elijah Tagiilima along with Sam Stephenson make a try saving tackle to stop the North Queensland left centre (No. 3) right on the try line and four metres in from the right corner post.

In 2023 Elijah Tagiilima lined up for Mabel Park SHS in the School Boy Rugby league Langer Cup competition starting all of Mabel Park SHS’s matches (except for Round Five) on the xx wing.

Elijah Tagiilima also played one match in the 2023 Mal Meninga Cup competition for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls being Round Five against the Brisbane Tigers with Elijah Tagiilima scoring one of the easiest tries that he will ever score in the 16th minute when Elijah Tagiilima received an off-load from his right and took two comfortable steps to put the ball down in the left corner.

In late July 2023 Joe Nadenic started at right second row for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Joe Nadenic making a good run from a Titans penalty tap restart in the 2nd minute to carry the ball from his own forty metre mark to three metres inside North Queensland territory.

Joe Nadenic also did well in the 5th minute when after he picked up a loose Cowboys pass twenty eight metres out from his own try line, Joe Nadenic was able to get the ball fourteen metres downfield. Then in the 64th minute from the right of the play the ball and eighteen metres out from the try line, through sheer guts and determination, Joe Nadenic was able to carry the ball to within three metres of the try line and five metres to the left of the uprights.

Joe Nadenic then made a good cover defending tackle on the North Queensland five eight who had broken through the Titans right side defensive line with Joe Nadenic bringing him down from the back right quadrant with the force of Joe Nadenic’s contact forcing a Cowboys knock on thirty two metres out from the Titans try line.

Joe Nadenic made a further good tackle in the 26th minute with a big right shoulder hit just six metres out from the Titans try line on the North Queensland left centre (No. 3), stooping him in his tracks. Joe Nadenic followed up with another try saving tackle in the 32nd minute when it appeared that the North Queensland five eight had sliced through a gap but Joe Nadenic ran to his right to bring him down with a strong ball and all tackle less than two metres from the try line and ten metres to the right of the uprights.

Joe Nadenic then made a try saving tackle in the 56th minute on the North Queensland halfback after charging to his left to cut the halfback down just short of the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

2023 also saw Joe Nadenic play for the Brisbane Tigers in the Hastings Deering’s Colts competition, splitting time between starting in the second row coming off the bench for the Tigers.

Joe Nadenic scored in the pouring rain in Round Six against the Mackay Cutters in the 16th minute when to the left of the play the ball Joe Nadenic received a cut-out pass from his inside and from eight metres out was too strong for the Cutters defence to crash over to score six metres in from the left corner post.

Joe Nadenic also scored in the 58th minute of Round Eight against the Redcliffe Dolphins with a ten metre run to the left of the dummy half with Joe Nadenic gaining separation from one defender with a clockwise spin to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

Round Eleven against the Tweed Heads Seagulls saw Joe Nadenic score in the 25th minute when from two passes to the left of the play the ball Joe Nadenic ran a hard straight crash line from four metres out to score eight metres in from the left corner post.

Joe Nadenic also played one match for Bulimba in the Brisbane Rugby League U20 Premier competition being Round Three against Carina and after starting the match in the second row Joe Nadenic scored in the 26th minute when after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball from eighteen metres out Joe Nadenic went through a gap between two defender before veering to his right and after outpacing the fullback Joe Nadenic dived over to score four metres in from the right corner post.

In 2022 Joe Nadenic played for the Brisbane Tigers in the MM Cup competition, starting the majority of matches in the second row.

Also in 2022 Joe Nadenic played school boy rugby in the Association of Independent Colleges (AIC) First XV competition for St Lawrence’s College with Joe Nadenic being named in the 2022 Courier Mail AIC First XV Team of the Season at open side flanker (No. 7).

2022 also saw Joe Nadenic selected in the Queensland Reds U18 side for an interstate match against the New South Wales Waratah’s U18 side.

Titans contracted Corey Pearce moved into the Marsden SHS starting line-up at hooker for Round Seven of the Langer against Ipswich SHS with Corey Pearce running to his left out of dummy half to get the ball to within twenty metres of the try lien after commencing his run thirty one metres out.

The 21t minute saw Corey Pearce make a big tackle on the Ipswich SHS left second rower No. 12 with Corey Pearce coming over the top to crunch the second rower on the try lien to prevent him from reaching out to score eight metres to the right of the uprights.

Titans contracted Izayah Petrichvich was named on the bench for Marsden SHS in the Langer Cup Round Seven match against Ipswich SHS however a late change saw Izayah Petrichvich start the match on the right wing and inside the opening minute Izayah Petrichvich chased a Marsden SHS bomb towards the right corner with Izayah Petrichvich tackling his opposing winger ten metres out from the Ipswich SHS try line.

Izayah Petrichvich made another good chase in the 25th minute when Izayah Petrichvich chased through a Marsden SHS grubber kick into the in-goal forcing the Ipswich SHS left winger to knock the ball over the dead ball line.

Izayah Petrichvich ran the ball out of dummy half to his right in the 15th minute from the centre of the field and twenty five metres out from his own try line and after getting the ball to within eleven metres of the halfway mark and being tackled by two defenders Izayah Petrichvich got a great left arm off-load away as he was going to ground.

Titans contracted Javon Andrews continued at five eight for Marsden SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Ipswich SHS with Javon Andrews recording a try assist in the 11th minute when after running the ball to the left of the play the ball from four metres inside Ipswich SHS territory to thirty metres out, Javon Andrews threw a cut-out pass to his left to put his right centre down the sideline to then bring the ball around to put the ball down under the posts.

Javon Andrews also recorded a line break in the 25th minute when after receiving an off-load forty metres from the try line from his right, Javon Andrews veered to his left before getting an off-load away on his inside twenty metres out.

Javon Andres recorded the first of his two line break assists in the 38th minute when after taking possession of the ball to the left of the dummy half, Javon Andrews ran the ball to the defensive line before throwing a cut-out pass to his left to put his left winger away down the touchline with Marsden SHS scoring later in the same movement.

Javon Andrews recorded his second line break assist in the 55th minute when Javon Andrews ran the ball down a short left blindside from on the halfway mark to the forty two metre mark with Javon Andrews throwing a cut-out pass to his left winger to race down the left touchline with Marsden SHS once again scoring later in the movement.

In late July 2023 Joseph Shannon started in the front row for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Joseph Shannon making a bit kick-off return to get the second half underway with Joseph Shannon literally coming off the back fence. Then in the 38th minute from a goal line drop-out return Joseph Shannon was able to return the ball to within twenty two metres of the try line.

The 40th minute saw Joseph Shannon run onto the ball to the right of the play the ball from thirteen metres out to get within a metre of the try line in front of the right upright. Joseph Shannon made another good kick-off return in the 67th minute when after taking the kick-off himself on the full five metres inside his own in-goal area Joseph Shannon flew out to the twenty six metre mark.

Great to see Cameron Bevan to make his School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup debut off the bench for PBC SHS in their Round Seven home match against Wavell SHS with Cameron Bevan coming onto the field to operate as a running backrower late in the first half.

One heck of a School Boy Langer Cup Quarter Final coming up next week with PBC SHS and Keebra Park SHS line up against each other with the majority of both sides Titans.

PBC SHS won the regular season match, so it will be an intense match next week.

Josiah Fa’aoso continued off the bench for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Wavell SHS and after coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 11th minute Josiah Fa’aoso scored in the 22nd minute when after charging onto the ball to the left of the play the ball from twenty two metres out, Josiah Fa’aoso bumped off one defender before breaking another tackle to get within two metres out the try line, the ball was then stripped from Josiah Fa’aoso’s grasp with two defenders in the tackle but as the referee was putting the whistle to his mouth, Josiah Fa’aoso picked up the ball and dived over to score under the posts with the referee awarding the try.

Earlier in the 15th minute from the left of the play the ball and on the halfway mark Josiah Fa’aoso was able to carry the ball to thirty nine metres out and after Josiah Fa’aoso was awarded a penalty for a high tackle, Josiah Fa’aoso ran the ball from the subsequent penalty restart to make twelve more metres.

Creedence Donovan continued on the left wing for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Wavell SHS with Creedence Donovan scoring twice in a tight PBC SHS 14 – 4 victory.

Creedence Donovan scored his opening try in the 5th minute with an easy four metre run/jog to put the ball down three metres in from the left corner post after receiving a pass from his inside and on the end of a PBC SHS backline movement from own side of the field to the other.

Creedence Donovan completed his double in the 57th minute when he chased through a Bailey McConnell chip kick towards the left corner with Creedence Donovan getting around his opposing winger who was trying to shield the ball and get the ball down just before the dead ball line to ensure a PBC SHS 14 – 4 victory.

Creedence Donovan had earlier done well in the 37th minute to take a high Wavell SHS bomb on the full under intense pressure ten metres out from his own try line.

Brady Turner continued in the front row in Round Seven of the Langer Cup for PBC SHS against Wavell SHS with Brady Turner along with Jaylen Taewa involved in the opening tackle of the match.

Then in the 7th minute Brady Turner made a strong kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty five metre mark. The 17th minute then saw Brady Turner ran onto the ball to the left of the dummy half and promote the ball from five metres inside Wavell SHS territory to seventeen metres inside.

Brady Turner continued his strong match in the 38th minute with a hit-up to the right of the play the ball forty metres out from his own try line to eight metres inside Wavell SHS territory. Brady Turner made additional metres in the 47th minute carrying the ball from the right of the play the ball from forty two metres from the try line to twenty five metres out.

Titans contracted Sunny Kama continued on the right wing for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Wavell SHS with Sunny Kama making the first of his two line breaks in the 29th minute when after running out of dummy half to his left from thirty metres out from his own try line, Sunny Kama burst through the centre of the Wavell SHS forward pack with Sunny Kama then veering to his left towards the centre of the field before being brought to ground twelve metres inside Wavell SHS territory.

Sunny Kama recorded his second line break in the 48th minute when Sunny Kama burst down the right touchline from twenty five metres out with Sunny Kama bundled over the right touchline just two metres out from the right corner.

Sunny Kama also made good metres from a PBC SHS penalty restart in the 31st minute from forty three metres from the try line to thirty metres out. Sunny Kama made a further strong run in the 37th minute from the left of the play the ball with Sunny Kama gaining twelve metres after receiving the ball ten metres out from his own try line.

Titans contracted Nelson Makaafi continued at right second row for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the School Boy Walters Cup competition against Wavell SHS with Nelson Makaafi making the first of a number of strong runs in the 14th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half twenty metres out from his own try line and after cutting inside towards the centre of the field Nelson Makaafi carried the ball three metres inside Wavell SHS territory after breaking five tackles with 70% of Nelson Makaafi’s metres being post his contact with the Wavell SHS defensive line.

Then in the 36th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball once again Nelson Makaafi got the ball to three metres of the halfway mark from his own twenty metre mark with 60% of Nelson Makaafi’s metres being post contact.

Nelson Makaafi continued his strong match in the 50th minute with a run to the left of the play the ball from eighteen metres out from his own try line with Nelson Makaafi cutting to his left on three occasions to get the ball to the thirty five metre mark but unfortunately Nelson Makaafi’s pass to his right going to ground with PBC SHS in space.

Nelson Makaafi rounded out a very strong match in the 52nd minute with another carry from two passes to the left of the play the ball from sixteen metres out from his own try line to the forty metre mark.

Titans contracted Sam Stephenson moved to right second row for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Wavell SHS with Sam Stephenson coming close to scoring in the 39th minute when after cutting underneath Zane Harrison to the left of the play the ball Sam Stephenson charged at the try line from twelve metres out to get the ball down five metres in from the left corner but on the advice of the linesman, the referee ruled double movement.

Sam Stephenson made his opening strong run of the match inside the opening minute with an eighteen metre run down the right channel to get the ball thirty eight metres out from his own try line. Then in the 7th minute Sam Stephenson ran an underneath route from the right of the dummy half to get the ball from his own thirty six metre mark to the halfway mark.

The 29th minute then saw Sam Stephenson take the ball from eighteen metres out from his own try line to thirty metres out after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball. Sam Stephenson followed up with a strong run from a PBC SHS penalty restart to get the ball from his own thirty four metre mark to three metres of the halfway mark.

Sam Stephenson timed his kick chase perfectly in the 3rd minute to smash the Ipswich SHS left winger just as he took a PBC SHS high bomb on the full ten metres out from his own try line. Sam Stephenson made another strong tackle in the 35th minute with a big hit over the top on the Wavell SHS No. 15 on the try line to prevent the replacement forward from twisting over to score four metres to the right of the uprights.

Will Saunders started at hooker for the Currumbin Eagles n Round Twelve of the GCLR U18 Division One competition against the Coomera Cutters with Will Saunders scoring in the 9th minute when after receiving an off-load ten metres out and directly in front of the posts, Will Saunders broke out of a legs tackle with Will Saunders pushed past a second defender with Will Saunders then forcing his way over to get the ball down under the posts with one defender trying in vain to stop Will Saunders from scoring.

Will Saunders then made the first of his two line breaks in the 41st minute after Will Saunders took a quick tap from a Currumbin penalty five metres inside his own territory and got the ball eighteen metres inside Cutters territory.

Will Saunders made his second line break in the 46th minute when after running to his right out of dummy half from thirty metres out from his own try line, Will Saunders carried the ball fifteen metres inside Coomera territory.

Bailey McConnell continued at five eight for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Wavell SHS with Bailey McConnell scoring a critical try to give PBC SHS the lead for good in the 53rd minute when Bailey McConnell ran the ball to his left after taking possession eight metres out and to the left of the dummy half, with Bailey McConnell dummying to his left four metres out and almost simultaneously stepping inside off his left foot to beat one defender before spinning counter clockwise on the try line to beat the Wavell SHS fullback and get the ball down twelve metres in from the left corner post.

Bailey McConnell also recorded a try assist in the 57th minute when from the left of the play the ball (and posts) and eighteen metres out, Bailey McConnell put in a right foot chip kick towards the left corner with Creedence Donovan winning the race to the ball to get the ball down just before the dead ball line to ice the PBC SHS victory.

Titans contracted Zane Harrison continued at halfback and captain for PBC SHS in Round Seven of the Langer Cup against Wavell SHS with Zane Harrison kicking a key conversion to give PBC SHS a six point lead in the 53rd minute from twelve metres in from the left touchline to convert Bailey McConnell’s try to give PBC SHS the lead.

Zane Harrison also forced a Wavell SHS goal line drop-out in the 32nd minute when from the right of the dummy half and twelve metres out Zane Harrison put in a right foot grubber kick to his right into the in-goal with the Wavell SHS fullback forced to ground the ball in the in-goal.

Zane Harrison then put up a high mid-field bomb in the 38th minute that came down almost on top of the goal posts and was too much for the Wavell SHS fullback who dropped the ball cold but the referee ruled that the ball went backwards and called play on.

Zane Harrison made a smart play in the 59th minute when with Wavell SHS desperately chasing the match they put up a short kick-off to PBC SHS’s right but Zane Harrison took the kick-off on the full just after it had broken the ten metre plane with Zane Harrison then able to get the ball eight metres inside Wavell SHS territory with Zane Harrison then awarded a penalty after he had been tackled from behind.

In late July 2023 Blake Forder started at fullback for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Blake Forder recording the first of his two try assists in the 8th minute when after receiving the ball eight metres out from the try line and to the right of the play the ball, Blake Forder cut inside off his right foot and after drawing one defender passed to his left to Ryder Williams who darted between two defenders to score ten metres in from the right corner post.

Blake Forder recorded his second try assist in the 23rd minute when after joining into the Titans backline as they wept the ball from right to left, Blake Forder received the ball sixteen metres out and after continuing to run to his left drew the North Queensland right winger and got the ball away to his left to put Jeremaiah Temapo over to score in the left corner.

Tavake Tau’a’alo continued in the front row for Keebra Park SHS in Round Seven of the Walters Cup against Mabel Park SHS Tavake Tau’a’alo taking the second hit-up of the match to get the ball out to the twenty five metre mark before getting an off-load away to his right.

In the 9th minute from the right of the play the ball Tavake Tau’a’alo was able to carry the ball from twenty eight metres out from the try line to within nine metres of the halfway mark then two tackles later Tavake Tau’a’alo was able to make a further eight metres.

Tavake Tau’a’alo, in the 48th minute and to the right of the play the ball was able to make ten metres to within sixteen metres of the try line before getting a good left arm off-load away.

Round One of the School Boy Langer competition saw Benji Quinlan named to start from the bench for Mabel Park SHS against Redcliffe SHS however a late change saw Benji Quinlan start the match at right second row with Benji Quinlan taking the second hit-up of the match to get the ball thirty two metres out from his own try line.

Benji Quinlan then made a good run in the 22nd minute when from the left of the play the ball Benji Quinlan carried the ball from twenty four metres out from his own try line to thirty seven metres out. Benji Quinlan made another strong run in the 59th minute when from a Mabel Park SHS penalty tap restart Benji Quinlan carried the ball from five metres inside Redcliffe SHS territory eighteen metres downfield.

Benji Quinlan was also named to start at right second row in Round Two against Wavell SHS with Benji Quinlan switching to left second row in his second stint on the field in the second half.

The 6th minute saw Benji Quinlan made a strong charge from a Wavell SHS kick-off with Benji Quinlan getting the ball out to the twenty metre mark with Benji Quinlan then awarded a penalty after being hit in a high tackle.

Then in the 54th minute Benji Quinlan made seventeen metres down the left channel to get the ball within ten metres of the try line. Benji Quinlan then made a good run in the 27th minute from the left of the play the ball with Benji Quinlan carrying the ball from forty metres out to twenty two metres of the try line through sheer force of will.

Benji Quinlan continued at right second row in Round Three against PBC SHS with Benji Quinlan making a strong eighteen metre run from the left of the play the ball with Benji Quinlan able to get the ball to within six metres of the halfway mark.

Benji Quinlan also started at right second row in Round Four against Ipswich SHS with Benji Quinlan taking the opening hit-up of the match off the kick-off to get the ball to the twenty metre mark. Benji Quinlan also took the third hit-up of the match making a further seven metres.

Benji Quinlan then moved into the front row in Round Five against Caloundra SHS with Benji Quinlan making the second hit-up of the match to get the ball to the thirty metre mark.

Benji Quinlan also was named to start in the front row in the Round Six Logan derby against Marsden SHS however a late change saw Benji Quinlan start the match from the bench.

Benji Quinlan then started at right second row in Round Seven against Keebra Park SHS with Benji Quinlan making a good defensive effort in the 8th minute to hold up one the Keebra Park SHS front rowers (No. 10) over the try line just to the left of the uprights.

Round One of the 2023 Walters Cup School Boy competition saw VJ Letalu named on the right wing for Keebra Park SHS against Ipswich SHS with VJ Letalu along with Jai Billish making a key play for Keebra Park SHS in the dying minutes of the match when with Keebra Park SHS trailing up two points they picked up the Stretton State College left winger and dragged him over the touchline with Keebra Park SHS getting the ball back and scoring the match winning try in the subsequent set of six tackles.

The 24th minute saw VJ Letalu run onto the ball to the right of the play the ball thirty six metres from his own try line with VJ Letalu carrying the ball five metres into Stretton State College territory.

VJ Letalu also started on the right wing in Round Two against Marsden SHS with VJ Letalu making a good one on one tackle when facing an overlap in the 38th minute and fifteen metres out from his own try line.

Gabriel Saleele’a continued at lock in Round Seven of the Walters Cup for Keebra Park SHS against Mabel Park SHS with Gabriel Saleele’a scoring in the 10th minute when Gabriel Saleele’a did well to charge down a Mabel Park SHS clearing kick forty metres out with Gabriel Saleele’a then able to collect the bouncing ball around thirty three metres out and outpace the Mabel Park SHS cover defence to score under the posts.

The 19th minute saw Gabriel Saleele’a take a hit-up from the right of the play the ball from eighteen metres out and throught sheer force of will Gabriel Saleele’a was able to get the ball to within two metres of the try line just to the left of the goal posts.

In the 28th minute from three metres inside his own territory and two passes to the right of the play the ball Tomasi Vaitai produced one of the runs of the match as he rumbled downfield to within thirty metres of the try line with Tomasi Vaitai breaking three tackles and with 65% of Tomasi Vaitai’s metres gained being post contact metres.

Majah Peachey also recorded a line break assist in the 54th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball when after Majah Peachey carried the ball from his own thirty three metres mark to within eight metres of the halfway mark, Majah Peachey got a good ball away to his right with two defenders on him to send his support runner on a thirty metre run downfield.

Jai Billish lined up to the right of the play the ball ten metres out, and after receiving the ball which was high and just behind him Jai Billish stepped inside off his right foot before bursting between three defenders to crash over to score twelve metres in from the right corner post.

Jai Billish also recorded a try assist in the 16th minute when after taking possession of the ball to the right of the play the ball, Jai Billish continued to run to his right ten metres out and brought David Bryenton back underneath to score three metres to the right of the uprights.

Keebra Park SHS’s David Bryenton continued at fullback in Round Seven of the Walters Cup against Mabel Park SHS with David Bryenton comfortably the best player on the field including scoring two tries.

David Bryenton scored his opening try in the 16th minute when after cutting back underneath Jai Billish who had run to the right of the play the ball ten metres out, David Bryenton stepped off his right foot back towards the centre of the field with David Bryenton then slipping sideways between two defenders before spinning counter clockwise and scoring three metres to the right of the uprights.

David Bryenton completed his double in the 19th minute when after taking possession of the ball two passes to the right of the play the ball twelve metres out David Bryenton initially dummied to his left before stepping off his left foot twice in quick succession before straightening up as a result of a right foot step to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

David Bryenton also recorded a line break in the 24th minute when from thirty three metres out from his own try line and to the left of the play the ball, David Bryenton stepped off his left foot to beat two defenders and move back towards the centre of the field with David Bryenton then stepping off his right foot to straighten up his running line and simultaneously dummying to his left and breaking through the defensive line. David Bryenton then veered to his left to get around the Mabel Park SHS fullback before being brought down thirty metres from the try line.

In the 9th minute from two passes to the right of the dummy half and four metres out from his own try line David Bryenton stepped his way to eighteen metres out. Then in the 13th minute on the left side of the field and thirty six metres out from his own try line David Bryenton stepped off both his left and right foot on multiple occasions and David Bryenton carried the ball to thirty metres from the Mabel Park SHS try line.

In the 18th minute from eight metres inside his own territory David Bryenton got the ball eight metres into Mabel Park SHS territory after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball with David Bryenton being awarded a penalty at the end of his run with the referee ruling that he was hit by a shoulder charge.

The 24th minute saw after David Bryenton had taken possession of the ball two passes from the left of a Keebra Park SHS scrum win, run the ball from ten metres out from his own try line to twenty three metres out. David Bryenton followed up with a 30th minute run from the left of eth play the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to two metres inside Mabel Park SHS territory before getting an off-load away.

David Bryenton rounded out a player of the match performance in the 53rd minute with a carry from the left of the play the ball from thirty one metres from his own try line to within three metres of the halfway mark.

In late July 2023 Ryder Williams started at five eight for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Ryder Williams scoring in the 9th minute when after chasing through a kick from Tanu Nona after the Titans hooker had made a line break from deep inside Titans territory, Ryder Williams dived on the loose ball eight metres from the try line. After playing the ball Ryder Williams stayed alert and after Blake Forder had made space near the play the ball, The Titans fullback got the ball to Ryder Williams who darted between two Cowboys defender on the try line to score eight metres to the right of the goal posts.

The 37th minute saw Javon Andrews take possession of the ball down a right blindside and after passing the ball to his right, Javon Andrews continued to run to his right, and old fashioned run around if you will, and after getting the ball returned to him with Javon Andrews then running the ball himself to get the ball to within seventeen metres of the try line.

The 56th minute saw Javon Andrews along with Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu execute a strong front on tackle on the Tians try line to prevent a North Queensland try eight metres in from the right corner post. Then in the 58th minute along with Brock Lennox, Javon Andrews made a try saving tackle on the North Queensland fullback near the try line and ten metres in from the right corner post.

In late July 2023 Jeremaiah Temapo started on the left wing for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Jeremaiah Temapo scoring the first of his two first half tries in the 6th minute when after receiving a good cut-out pass from his inside from Seth Nikotemo forty metres out from the try line, Jeremaiah Temapo charged down the left touchline with Jeremaiah Temapo running over the top of one cover defender when fifteen metres out and then carried the Cowboys fullback over the try line to score in the left corner.

Jeremaiah Temapo scored his second try in the 23rd minute when he was on the end of a Titans backline movement to the left with Jeremaiah Temapo receiving the ball eight metres out from Blake Forder on his inside to once again score in the left corner.

In the 15th minute from thirty five metres out from his own try line Jeremaiah Temapo ran the ball from the left of the dummy half and broke three tackles in an impressive run as Jeremaiah Temapo got the ball two metres into North Queensland territory.

In the 17th minute from the left of a Titans scrum win and thirty metres out from his own try line Jeremaiah Temapo was able to get the ball to within four metres of the halfway mark with at least 60% of the metres that Jeremaiah Temapo made being post contact with the Cowboys defensive line.

Jeremaiah Temapo followed up with an effort from the left of a Titans scrum win twenty three metres to get the ball to within three metres of the halfway mark with around 75% of Jeremaiah Temapo’s metres being post contact with the defensive line.

In late July 2023 Reico Ratana started from the bench for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Reico Ratana coming on to operate at left second row in the 18th minute.

Reico Ratana came close to scoring in the 64th minute but after a strong run from six metres out and to the right of the play the ball Reico Ratana was held up over try line under the posts.

The 18th minute saw Reico Ratana execute a big tackle along with Cooper Bai on the giant Cowboys No. 8 right on the try line next to the left upright to save what appeared to be a certain North Queensland try.

Reico Ratana made a further big front on tackle in the 58th minute with a hit on the North Queensland halfback two metres out from the try line and just to the right of the goal posts with Reico Ratana’s heavy initial contact forcing Cowboys knock on. Austin Marsters was also named on the bench for Round Two against Marsden SHS with the match played at Cbus Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the Titans Round Fifteen NRL match against the Wests Tigers with Austin Marsters coming off the bench to operate in the middle of the field in the first half.

Austin Marsters was also named on the bench in Round Three against Redcliffe SHS and after coming onto the field in the 22nd minute Austin Marsters scored in the 37th minute when after receiving the ball to the left of the play the ball twelve metres from the try line Austin Marsters ran at the defensive line and after it initially looked as if Austin Marsters would pass the ball to his left, Austin Marsters ran himself instead to break through to tackles before running over the top of the Redcliffe SHS fullback on the try line to score ten metres to the left of the uprights.

Austin Marsters also started from the bench in Round Four against Caloundra SHS with Austin Marsters initially operating at lock when he came onto the field before spending time in the dummy half role as the second half progressed.

Jack Schmidt followed up with another strong run in the 12th minute to get the ball from his own twenty four metre mark to the forty metre mark after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball.

The 17th minute saw Antioch Faitala-Mariner run onto the ball to the right of the play the ball from eight metres inside his own territory to seven metres inside North Queensland territory. Then in the 41st minute from two passes to the left of a Titans scrum win fourteen metres out, Antioch Faitala-Mariner surged to within two metres of the try line near the left touchline.

Both Nicholas Hilton and Tanu Nona then backed up to also make the second tackle of the match.

Nicholas Hilton made another good defensive effort in the 5th minute to make a good cover defending tackle on the North Queensland winger No. 5 twenty metres out from the Titans try line. Nicholas Hilton executed a strong front on hit defensively in the 50th minute when along with Eli Tuli, Nicholas Hilton crunched a Cowboys player seven metres out from the try line and in the centre of the field and forcing a knock on.

The 2nd minute saw Nicholas Hilton carry the ball from two passes from the left of the play the ball from two metres inside his own territory to twelve metres inside North Queensland territory. In late July 2023 Alex Leapai started in the front row for a Titans U19 side (his first match in a Titans jersey) that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Alex Leapai making his opening run of the match in the 2nd minute to the left of the play the ball and get the ball from ten metres inside Cowboys territory to within twenty nine metres of the try line.

Alex Leapai also made a good kick-off return in the 8th minute to get the ball to the twenty two metre mark. Then in the 11th minute from the left of the play the ball Alex Leapai got the ball from ten metres out from his own try line to twenty metres out and then two tackles later Alex Leapai carried the ball from the twenty eight metre mark to the forty metre mark.

In the 37th minute from three passes to the left of the play the ball Alex Leapai was able to get from the eighteen metre mark to within three metres of the try line in front of the left upright. Just a minute later in the 38th minute once again from the left of the play the ball Alex Leapai charged from twenty four metres from the try line to seven metres out and ten metres in from the left touchline.

In late July 2023 Tanu Nona started at hooker for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Tanu Nona along with Nicholas Hilton making the opening tackle of the match from the Cowboys kick-off return. Both Tanu Nona and Nicholas Hilton then backed up to also make the second tackle of the match.

Tanu Nona made a line break in the 9th minute when from thirty metres out from his own try line, Tanu Nona ran to his right out of dummy half and after pushing away from one defender Tanu Nona charged down downfield and when he was twenty eight metres from the try line Tanu Nona put in a right foot kick back inside which was humbled by the Cowboys with Ryder Williams diving on the loose ball eight metres out. In late July 2023 Seth Nikotemo started at left second row for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Seth Nikotemo recording a try assist in the 6th minute with a great and lightening quick catch and pass to his left to Jeremaiah Temapo forty metres out to give his left winger space down the touchline to subsequently score in the left corner.

The 3rd minute saw Seth Nikotemo make a good run down the left channel from two passes to the left of the play the ball to get the ball eighteen metres out from the try line after Seth Nikotemo commenced his run thirty metres out. Then in the 18th minute from eighteen metres out from the try line and to the left of the play the ball Seth Nikotemo was able to get the ball to eight metres of the try line with 70% of Seth Nikotemo’s metres gained being post contact with the Cowboys defensive line.

Seth Nikotemo made another strong run down the left channel in the 28th minute to get within four metres of the halfway mark after Seth Nikotemo took possession of the ball thirty four metres away from his own try line.

In late July 2023 Sam Stephenson started from the bench for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Sam Stephenson coming on to play right centre in the 26th minute with Sam Stephenson making his first run of the match almost immediately to get the ball twenty six metres out.

The 47th minute saw Sam Stephenson run onto the ball to the left of the dummy half to get the ball from twenty seven metres away from his own try line to thirty seven metres away with Sam Stephenson hit high and be awarded a penalty.

Sam Stephenson did well in the 57th minute when after the Cowboys put up a high kick towards Sam Stephenson who was situated on the right wing, Sam Stephenson contested the kick in the air against two opponents and was able to force a Cowboys knock on on the final tackle to force a change over. Then two tackles after the change over Sam Stephenson ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball to get the ball from fifteen metres out from his own try line to twenty seven metres out.

Sam Stephenson did well defensively in the 31st minute to corral the North Queensland left centre near the left touchline four metres out from the try line. Then the 53rd minute saw Sam Stephenson along with Elijah Tagiilima make a try saving tackle to stop the North Queensland left centre (No. 3) right on the try line and four metres in from the right corner post.

The 23rd minute saw Cooper Bai make a strong carry from the left of the play the ball twenty eight metres from the try line and get the ball to within thirteen metres of the try line. Then in the 36th minute from the left of the play the ball and eight metres out from his own try line Cooper bai carried the ball to the twenty metre mark before being awarded a penalty for a dangerous tackle.

Cooper Bai continued his strong match in the 37th minute with a run from the left of the dummy half from three metres inside his own territory and crashed and barged his way nineteen metres inside North Queensland territory.

The 38th minute saw Cooper Bai run an underneath line from the right of the dummy half to get from twenty metres out to within eight metres of the try line with Cooper Bai then getting away a very good right arm off-load away to his left to Corey Pearce with two Cowboys defenders battling to bring Cooper Bai under their control.

Cooper Bai followed up in the 41st minute effort from the right of the play the ball from fourteen metres out to three metres from the try line with Cooper Bai then able to get his left arm free and off-load to his right.

The 63rd minute then saw Cooper Bai run the ball from three metres inside Titans territory to ten metres inside Cowboys territory after taking possession of the ball to the right of the play the ball.

In the 26th minute Cooper Bai produced heavy defensive contact on the North Queensland five eight in the centre of the field and eight metres out with Cooper Bai’s initial contact rocking he Cowboys player. Then from the subsequent play the ball Cooper Bai executed another big tackle along with Reico Ratana on the giant Cowboys No. 8 right on the try line next to the left upright to save what appeared to be a certain North Queensland try.

Cooper Bai was superb defensively once again in the 29th minute with an outstanding low tackle in the tall North Queensland front rower No. 8 with Cooper Bai driving in with his left shoulder to cut him down twenty eight metres from the try line. Then two tackle later, Cooper Bai executed a crunching tackle on the North Queensland NO. 17 six metres from the try line with Cooper Bai then backing up to also make the next tackle on the Cowboys dummy half who had tried to sneak over from the play the ball.

Bailey McConnell started at halfback for the Burleigh Bears in Round Eleven of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Southport Tigers with Bailey McConnell scoring two tries as well as being involved in two more.

Bailey McConnell scored the first of his two tries in the 21st minute with a long range seventy metre try straight through the centre of the field to score under the posts and taking possession from an off-load received thirty metres out from his own try line.

Bailey McConnell scored his second try in the 45th minute when Bailey McConnell swopped on an errant Southport pass five metres inside their own territory with Bailey McConnell racing forty metres to score under the posts after collecting the ball on the bounce.

Bailey McConnell was weirdly involved in a Burleigh try in the 15th minute when from the left of the play the ball three metres inside his own territory Bailey McConnell threw a pass to his left that hit the head of his left centre and was propelled forward. The ball was subsequently picked up by the Burleigh left winger who got the ball inside to his centre who scored wide out on the left.

Bailey McConnell was also involved in a 56th minute Burleigh try when from the left of a Bears scrum win in the centre of the field and thirteen metres out from the try line, Bailey McConnell initially ran the ball to his right before pausing and running the ball back to his left and getting on the outside of one defender Bailey McConnell engaged anther defender before getting a right arm off-load away to his left with Burleigh scoring two passes later.

Bailey McConnell did well in the 2nd minute when he was able to take a hard low kick straight at him from close range on the full right on his own try line and three metres to the left of the uprights.

The 9th minute saw Bailey McConnell put up a bomb towards the left corner from the centre of the field and thirty two metres out with the Southport winger dropping the kick to give Burleigh the scrum feed ten metres out from the try line.

Cooper Bai ran the ball down a right blindside in the 7th minute from twenty one metres out form his own try line to get the ball to the thirty eight metre mark with approximately 65% of Cooper Bai’s metres being post contact.

In the 12th minute from the right of the play the ball Cooper Bai cut back underneath his halfback from ten metres from his own try line to get the ball twenty four metres out. Young New Zealand born halfback or five eight Braxton Wilson-Clune headed over to Queensland in early January 2023 to attend Mabel Park SHS with an extensive (and impressive) rugby league resume with him from his time in New Zealand.

Braxton Wilson-Clune started from the bench for Mabel Park SHS in Round One of the 2023 School Boy Langer Cup competition against Redcliffe SHS with Braxton Wilson-Clune operating in the halves when he came on in the 22nd minute with Braxton Wilson-Clune making a stepping run shortly after coming on from fourteen metres out with Braxton Wilson-Clune getting close to scoring but grounded the ball just short of the try line.

Braxton Wilson-Clune was also named to start from the bench in Round Two against Wavell SHS and after coming onto the field to operate in the halves in the 18th minute Braxton Wilson-Clune recorded a try assist in the 43rd minute when from the left of the play the ball around twelve metres out, Braxton Wilson-Clune delayed a pass to his right to the last possible moment to put his right second rower over to score a critical try in a great Mabel Park SHS 16 – 6 victory.

Earlier in the match in the 12th minute Ryan McCann did well to dart across to his right to take a high bouncing Redcliffe SHS grubber kick above his head on the try line with Ryan McCann then doing well to stay in the field of play.

Ryan McCann was also named to start at fullback in Round Two against Wavell SHS with Ryan McCann making a great take of a high bomb inside the opening minute under intense pressure just out from his own try line. Ryan McCann made another great take of a bomb on the full in the 9th minute on his own try line to the left of the uprights with Ryan McCann being awarded a penalty for being tackled whilst still in the air.

Jake Lateo was also named at halfback for Round Two against Caloundra SHS with Jake Lateo scoring in the 7th minute when to the right of the play the ball Jake Lateo put in a right foot grubber kick for himself from twelve metres out into the in-goal with Jake Lateo winning the race to the ball to get downward pressure on the ball five metres to the right of the uprights.

Jake Lateo continued at halfback in Round Three against Mabel Park SHS with Jake Lateo recording two try assists with the first coming in the 12th when after running the ball down a right blindside from thirty five metres out from the try line Jake Lateo drew in two defenders including the Mabel Park SHS left winger and threw a great right arm flick off-load to his right to put his winger away and subsequently score in the right corner.

The 6th minute saw Jake Lateo from the left of the play the ball step off his right foot and run towards the try line with Jake Lateo getting within a metre of the try line mid-way between the try line and corner post on the right side of the field.

Jake Lateo then moved to the bench for Round Four against Redcliffe SHS with Jake Lateo coming onto the field to operate on the left wing in the 40th minute.

Jake lateo then started at fullback in Round Five against Ipswich SHS before spending time on the left wing in the second half.

Jake Lateo was also named at fullback in the Round Six Gold Coast derby against Keebra Park SHS with Jake Lateo making a darting run in the 51st minute from the left of the dummy half to get the ball to thirty eight metres from the try line after receiving the ball on the halfway mark.

Earlier in the match in the 37th minute when confronted by a Keebra Park SHS line break down their left touchline Jake Lateo did well to hold his ground and force the Keebra Park SHS left centre to make a decision and pass too soon to his left to his winger with Jake Lateo able to slide off the centre and tackle the Keebra Park SHS winger.

Round One of the 2023 School Boy Langer Cup competition saw Jaylen Taewa named to start from the bench for PBC SHS against Marsden SHS however a late change saw Jaylan Taewa start the match in the front row.

Jaylen Taewa then moved to start at lock in Round Two against Caloundra SHS with Jaylen Taewa making a fifteen metre run from the left of the play the ball from five metres inside his own territory to ten metres inside Caloundra SHS territory in the 3rd minute.

Then in the 4th minute Jaylen Taewa smashed the Caloundra SHS lock in a big tackle thirty metres from the Caloundra SHS try line with the lock having to take a few minutes to regain his composure.

Jaylen Taewa continued at lock in Round Three against Mabel Park SHS.

Jaylen Taewa also started at lock in Round Four against Redcliffe SHS with Jaylen Taewa making a strong tackle on the Redcliffe SHS No. 10 in the 32nd minute in the centre of the field and twenty five metres from the try line with the Redcliffe SHS front rower losing possession of the ball as a result of Jaylen Taewa’s heavy initial contact.

Round One of the 2023 School Boy Langer Cup competition saw Will Saunders named at hooker for PBC SHS against Marsden SHS with Will Saunders making a line break in the 58th minute when Will Saunders ran to his right out of dummy half with Will Saunders making thirty metres before he was ankle tapped from behind when he was twenty metres out from the try line.

Earlier in the 52nd minute Will Saunders made fourteen metres after running out of dummy half to hie left.

Will Saunders did well defensively in the 4th minute when along with Ray Puru and Bailey McConnell, they held up the Marsden SHS five eight over the try line ten metres from the left upright.

Will Saunders was also named at hooker for Round Two against Caloundra SHS and in the 5th minute Will Saunders was involved in a PBC SHS movement that nearly led to a try when from five metres inside PBC SHS territory Ray Puru ran out of dummy half to his right and after getting the ball five metres inside Caloundra SHS territory got a right arm off-load away around the back of a defender to his left to Baley McConnell who after making twelve metres got an off-load away to his left to Will Saunders who was able to get to within thirteen metres of the try line.

Then in the 9th minute Will Saunders ran to his left out of dummy half from thirty metres out with Will Saunders getting to within four metres of the halfway mark with the speed of Will Saunders run catching the Caloundra SHS defence off-side. Then just a minute later in the 20th minute Will Saunders ran out of dummy half once again to his left to get within three metres of the try lien and running from twenty five metres out.

Will Saunders made another run out of dummy half in the 42nd minute running to his right to get from ten metres inside his own territory to twelve metres inside Caloundra SHS territory.

Will Saunders continued at hooker in Round Three against Mabel Park SHS with Will Saunders recording a try assist in the 49th minute when from close to the try line, Will Saunders threw a hard flat pass to his right out of dummy half to Brady Turner who crashed over to score under the posts.

Will Saunders also made a line break in the 10th minute when from thirty metres from his own try line Will Saunders rand to his left out of dummy half with Will Saunders running straight through the heart of the Mabel Park SHS before being brought to ground after a twenty metre run.

Will Saunders also started at hooker in Round Four against Redcliffe SHS with Saunders making a line break that led to a Zane Harrison try in the 28th minute. Will Saunders had a number of good moments defensively including along with Ray Puru holding up the giant Redcliffe SHS lock over the try line in the 9th minute two metres to the left of the uprights. Then in the 37th minute Will Saunders executed a right shoulder tackle in the Redcliffe SHS replacement front rower No. 15 with the tackle resulting in a knock on ten metres inside Redcliffe SHS territory.

Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy made a great try saving tackle in the 39th minute to prevent Jac Finnigan from scoring in the PBC SHS right corner with Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy hitting the second rower just short of the try line and force him over the side line in what was probably the tackle of the match.

After PBC SHS finished fourth on the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup table after the completion of the regular season, Titans contracted Jac Finnigan started at right second row for PBC SHS in their Quarter Final clash against Keebra Park SHS with Jac Finnigan coming desperately close to scoring in the 39th minute when after good work on his inside from Will Saunders and Jake Lateo, Jac Finnigan charged towards the right corner but he was taken over the right touchline very close to the right corner.

Earlier in the match in the 10th minute Jac Finnigan ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball and was able to get the ball from six metres inside his own territory to eight metres into Keebra Park SHS territory. Then in the 12th minute from the right of the play the ball once again Jac Finnigan carried the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line to forty metres out.

The 23rd minute then saw Jac Finnigan make a fourteen metre run down the right channel from ten metres inside his own territory to the halfway mark, then a tackle later Jac Finnigan made twelve more metres to the right of the dummy half to carry the ball to ten metres inside Keebra Park SHS territory.

The 45th minute saw Zane Harrison make a good run from the right side of the field to the left with Zane Harrison’s run which made fifteen metres with Zane Harrison stepping off his left foot on three occasions and he cut across field to get within ten metres of the try line.

Earlier in the 20th minute after receiving the ball down a right blindside Zane Harrison put in a tight foot kick towards the right corner which was too good for the Keebra Park SHS defence who knocked the ball on just out from the try line to give PBC SHS the scrum feed in a good attacking position with PBC SHS scoring from a scrum move directly from the scrum.

Earlier in the 12th minute Bailey McConnell put up a high bomb from thirty metres out and after the ball came down two metres from the try line it was lost forward by Keebra Park SHS to give PBC SHS the scrum feed in a good attacking position with Bailey McConnell setting up a try for Creedence Donovan from the subsequent set of six tackles.

Creedence Donovan scored PBC SHS’s first try of the match in the 14th minute when Creedence Donovan chased through a Bailey McConnell grubber kick to the left side of the field with the ball sitting up perfectly in the in-goal for Creedence Donovan to collect and score ten metres to the left of the uprights.

Creedence Donovan scored the match winning try in the 58th minute when Creedence Donovan darted four metres down the left touchline to score in the corner after Sam Stephenson had drawn the Keebra Park SHS right wing to allow Creedence Donovan the space to score in the left corner.

Creedence Donovan in fact was the reason why PBC SHS were even in a position to score in the match winning try when in the 58th minute with PBC SHS down 12 – 10 with two minutes to go Creedence Donovan moved over to the opposite side of the field and after chasing through a PBC SHS bomb to the right corner and after the ball was knocked back, Creedence Donovan was able to race back and after picking up the ball twenty five metres out and the play totally broken down Creedence Donovan took the responsibility on himself and when faced with s straight Keebra Park SHS defensive line Creedence Donovan put in a short right foot grubber kick for himself and after one of the Keebra Park SHS defenders grabbed the ball near the PBC SHS right corner Creedence Donovan was able to drag him over the touchline to give PBC SHS the scrum feed with less than two minutes remaining. Then as noted above Creedence Donovan scored the match winning try on the opposite side of the field in the next set of six tackles.

Creedence Donovan also did well in the 20th minute when after scooping up a Keebra Park grubber kick and get the ball thirty two metres away from his own try line.

After PBC SHS finished fourth on the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup table after the completion of the regular season, Titans contracted Sam Stephenson started at left centre for PBC SHS in their Quarter Final clash against Keebra Park SHS.

Sam Stephenson in addition to scoring himself set up the match winning try for PBC SHS with less than two minutes remaining. Sam Stephenson also made two line breaks as he constantly terrorised the Keebra Park SHS defence.

Sam Stephenson set up the PBC SHS match winning try in the 58th minute when after PBC SHS swept the ball wide to the left Sam Stephenson received the ball twelve metres out and after continuing to run to his left Sam Stephenson was able to get on the outside of his direct opponent and then when he had drawn the Keebra Park SHS right winger in, Sam Stephenson timed his pass to Creedence Donovan to give his left winger a four metre run to dive over in the left corner to win the match for PBC SHS 14 - `12.

Sam Stephenson scored himself in the 22nd minute when after receiving the ball as PBC SHS spun the ball to the left and after taking possession ten metres to the left of the uprights and twenty two metres out from a PBC SHS scrum win, Sam Stephenson initially continued to run to his left and just prior to engaging his opposing defender, Sam Stephenson straightened up his run by way of a subtle left foot step to beat his opposing centre on the inside with Sam Stephenson then charging away to put the ball down twelve metres to the left of the uprights.

Sam Stephenson made the first of his two line breaks in the 44th minute with a strong left channel line break commencing from his own fifteen metre mark to within three metres of the halfway mark.

Sam Stephenson recorded another line break in the 54th minute when after running an underneath route to the left of the play the ball with Bailey McConnell, Sam Stephenson ran the ball from twenty seven metres out from the try line with Sam Stephenson getting to within two metres of the try line and ten metres in from the left corner post.

In just the 5th minute of the match and the right of the play the ball Sam Stephenson was able to promote the ball from eighteen metres out from his own try line to thirty metres out. Then in the 40th minute from the left of a PBC SHS scrum win Sam Stephenson was able to carry the ball from five metres out from his own try line to twenty metres out with Sam Stephenson then awarded a penalty for being held down too long.

Titans contracted Immanuel Kalekale started from the bench for the Helensvale Hornets in Round Eleven of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Currumbin Eagles with Immanuel Kalekale coming onto the field to operate in the front row late in the first half with Immanuel Kalekale coming close to scoring in the 44th minute with a ten metre charge at the try line from the right of the play the ball with Immanuel Kalekale breaking two tackles as he got over the try line over to be held up midway between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

The 43rd minute saw Immanuel Kalekale run onto the ball to the left of the play the ball and carry the ball from his own forty metre mark to a metre inside Eagles territory. Then in the 52nd minute from the right of the play the ball and twenty two metres out Immanuel Kalekale got the ball to in front of the goal posts ten metres out.

The 54th minute saw Immanuel Kalekale run the ball from the left of the dummy half to get the ball from ten metres out from his try line to twenty metres out. Immanuel Kalekale followed up with another run in the 62nd minute from a Hornets penalty tap restart from ten metres out to twenty two metres out from his try line.

After receiving an off-load from his left in the 71st minute Immanuel Kalekale carried the ball from forty two metres out from his own try line to three metres inside Currumbin territory after stepping off his left foot with three defenders required to get Immanuel Kalekale to the ground.

The 78th minute saw Immanuel Kalekale receive an unexpected off-load whilst stationary and defenders all around him but Immanuel Kalekale was still able to make six metres.

In early 2023 Santino Pekepo-Tavaga lined-up in the centres for the Manawatu U16 Rugby League Representative side.

Palmerston North High has a strong link to this forum with HS being a former student!!

Gary Whare-Herlihy kicked an outstanding conversion from the right touchline in the 53rd minute and backed that up by kicking a 56th minute conversion from nine metres in from the left touchline.

Gary Whare-Herlihy scored the first of his two tries in the 2nd minute when after backing up on the inside of a Carina line break down the right channel Gary Whare-Herlihy was on hand to receive the off-load and run thirty five metres to score under the posts. Gary Whare-Herlihy then stepped up to convert his own try.

Gary Whare-Herlihy completed his double in the 66th minute when after a Valleys grubber kick was trapped and picked up by a Carina player on his try line, Gary Whare-Herlihy was on hand to back up and after receiving the ball from his left thirty metre out, Gary Whare-Herlihy raced seventy metres being chased by two Diehards players to dive over to score three metres in from the right corner post.

Gary Whare-Herlihy also recorded a try assist in the 35th minute when from the right of a Carina scrum win Gary Whare-Herlihy continued to move to his right before throwing a very short pass to his right on the halfway mark to put his right centre away to ultimately score under the posts.

Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy came close to kicking a second conversion in the 28th minute when the ball went over the top of the right goal post with one touch judge putting his flag up and the other waving the kick away. The referee also waver the conversion attempt away.

Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy scored in the 30th minute to score ten metres in from the left corner post and backing up a line break down the left touchline to receive the ball forty metres out.

Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy also recorded a 70th minute line break when from the left of the play the ball fifteen metres out from his own try line, Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy passed the ball to his left and then backed up on the inside to get the ball back from the player he had put into a gap on the halfway mark. Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy then continued to run to his right, stepping off his left foot twice before being tackled twenty two metres from the try line.

In the 18th minute Zyroam Taurawa-Herlihy ran the ball from the right of the play the ball from sixteen metres out from his own try line to thirty one metres out. Round Eleven of the NRRRL First Grade competition for Northern United against the Evans Head Bombers saw Desmond Ferguson moved to halfback, recording a try assist and kicking a perfect eight from eight conversions.

Desmond Ferguson, as noted above, had an outstanding match with the boot with numerous conversions coming from wide out including in the 6th minute with a conversion of a Damon Coldwell try from his own kick eight metres in from the left touchline. Desmond Ferguson also kicked a 14th minute conversion from eleven metres in from the left touchline in the 31st minute. Desmond Ferguson also kicked a conversion in the 47th minute from seven metres in from the left touchline.

Desmond Ferguson also recorded a try assist in the 6th minute when Damon Coldwell chased through a Desmond Ferguson grubber kick with Damon Coldwell being on hand to take the ball in the in-goal after the Evans Head right winger got a horror bounce with Damon Coldwell getting the ball down eight metres in from the left corner post.

Micah Leaupepe Perkins started at left centre for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition against Northern United with Micah Leaupepe Perkins kicking one of the longest goal line drop-outs that I have ever seen in the 44th minute with Micah Leaupepe Perkins’s drop-out travelling seventy eight metres downfield before it was picked up by a Northern United player.

The 8th minute saw Micah Leaupepe Perkins run the ball from a Tweed Heads penalty tap restart on the halfway mark and get the ball seventeen metres inside Northern United territory. Then I the 29th minute from the left of the play the ball Micah Leaupepe Perkins was able to carry the ball from seven metres inside his own territory to ten metres inside Northern United territory.

Ayden Byrnes continued at hooker for the Murwillumbah Mustangs in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Ballina Seagulls with Ayden Byrnes making the first of his smart dummy half runs in the 13th minute when after running to his right out of dummy half from twenty five metres out from his own try line, Ayden Byrnes cut back behind the ball the ball to get out to the forty metre mark.

In the 27th minute Ayden Byrnes ran out of dummy half to his right with Ayden Byrnes using a left foot step to get the ball from the halfway mark to thirty five metres from the try line. Then in the 39th minute Ayden Byrnes ran to his left out of dummy half from two metres inside his territory to get the ball to within thirty one metres of the try line.

Ayden Byrnes ran out of dummy half to his left out of dummy half once again in the 45th minute and broke at tackle to get the ball from four metres inside Cougars territory to thirty two metres from the try line.

Ayden Byrnes made a strong driving tackle in the 4th minute on the Cougars No. 10 driving him back three metres just inside his own territory.

In the 4th minute of the match Joshua Donovan-Skinner moved forward from twenty metres from his own try line and near the right touchline to take a Northern United chip kick on the full under pressure. Then in the 47th minute Joshua Donovan-Skinner made a great take on the full of a high Northern United bomb inside his own twenty metre area near the left touchline with the bomb being contested by Northern United.

Lachlan Offley continued at fullback for the Ballina Seagulls in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Murwillumbah Mustangs with Lachlan Offley running out of dummy half to his right from thirty metres out from his own try line in the 6th minute to get the ball to within four metres of the halfway mark.

In the 9th minute from three metres out from his own try line Lachlan Offley ran to his right out of dummy half and ran through the centre of the field to get the ball twenty four metres out. Then in the 24th minute after picking up a dropped Mustangs ball in the centre of the field on his own try line, Lachlan Offley ran the ball to his right, making thirty metres before being tackled near the right touchline.

In the 25th minute from thirty metre out and in the centre of the field Lachlan Offley ran the ball to his right before cutting back to his left and after being tackled in from of the posts ten metres out, Lachlan Offley was awarded a penalty after being tackled high. Then in the 55th minute Lachlan Offley made a good kick-off return to the carry the ball back to within eight metres of the halfway mark.

In the 46th minute with Murwillumbah running the ball from a penalty tap in the centre of the field and just ten metres from the try line, Lachlan Offley smartly executed a one on one strip of the ball. Then two tackles later Lachlan Offley made ten metres from deep inside his own territory through the centre of the field.

The 38th minute saw Lachlan Offley make a dominant tackle on the Murwillumbah fullback from a scrum win fourteen metres out from the try line.

Tashahn Cora started at halfback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition against Northern United with Tashahn Cora scoring two tries and kicking two conversions in a tough win. Tashahn Cora kicked his first conversion in the 18th minute from twelve metres to the right of the uprights and kicked his second conversion two minutes later in the 20th minute from directly in front.

Tashahn Cora scored his opening try in the 11th minute when after taking possession of the ball to the left of the play the ball twelve metres out from the try line, Tashahn Cora stepped off his left foot twice in quick succession before darting over to score eight metres to the left of the uprights.

Tashahn Cora completed his double in the 53rd minute when after receiving to the left of a Seagulls penalty tap restart eleven metres out and ten metres in from the left touchline, Tashahn Cora continued to run the ball to his left and after getting on the outside of the Northern United right winger, Tashahn Cora dived over to score in the left corner.

Tashahn Cora recorded a try assist in the 30th minute when from twenty metres out Tashahn Cora put up a high left foot bomb towards the left corner with the ball being scrooped up by the Seagulls to score in the corner after it was dropped by the Northern United right centre.

Bo Peisley continued at halfback in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition for the Murwillumbah Mustangs against the Ballina Seagulls with Bo Peisley scoring a try and kicking two conversions in a tight 16 – 14 Mustangs victory.

Bo Peisley scored in the 34th minute when after receiving the ball to the right of the play the ball twelve metres out, Bo Peisley literally just kept running to his right as the defence back peddled to score ten metres to the right of the uprights. Bo Peisley then stepped up to convert his own try.

Bo Peisley also recorded a line break in the 57th minute when from thirty metres out from his own try line Bo Peisley ran the ball to the right of the play the ball and after dummying to his right Bo Peisley broke through the defensive line and ran down the right touchline, getting to within twenty eight metres of the try line.

Bo Peisley was also heavily involved in a Murwillumbah try in the 41st minute when from the centre of the field and thirty metres out, Bo Peisley put up a high right foot bomb towards the left corner with the ball lost forward by the Casino right winger with the Murwillumbah left winger scoring a pass later. Bo Peisley then converted the try from eleven metres in from the left touchline.

Bo Peisley made a positive impact for Murwillumbah inside the opening minute with a 40/20 that Bo Peisley kicked from the centre of the field thirty eight metres out from his own try line with the ball going over the left touchline seventeen metres out from the try line.

Bo Peisley did well defensively in the 19th minute with a low legs tackle in space on Ballina fullback Lachlan Offley in space ten metres out from the try line and seven metres in from the right touchline.

Titan Noah Waldock moved back to five eight for the Ballina Seagulls in Round Eleven of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Murwillumbah Mustangs with Noah Waldock scoring in the 53rd minute when after taking possession of the ball to the right of the dummy half eighteen metres from the try line Noah Waldock stepped off his right foot to beat one defender before crashing between two more on the try line to get the ball down twelve metres in from the right corner post.

Noah Waldock also ran the ball well in the 29th minute when from the left of the play the ball forty metres out from his own try line Noah Waldock was able to get the ball three metres into Mustangs territory. The two minutes later in the 31st minute from the right of the play the ball Noah Waldock once again got the ball from his own forty metre mark to three metres inside Mustangs territory.

Noah Waldock did well defensively in the 5th minute with a good front on right shoulder tackle on the Murwillumbah fullback near the halfway mark. Then in the 7th minute after the Murwillumbah left winger had made a line break down the touchline Noah Waldock moved to his right on cover defence to execute a good low covering tackle once again near the halfway mark.

Noah Waldock made a further good cover defending tackle from behind in the 39th minute on the Murwillumbah left winger once again thirty eight metres from his own try line after a Mustangs line break.

Matari Donovan started at left centre for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Twelve of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Coomera Cutters with Matari Donovan scoring in the 17th minute when after taking possession of the ball two passes to the left of a Eagles scrum win nineteen metres out, Matari Donovan continued to run to his left before stepping off his left foot to get on the inside of his direct opponent when eleven metres out with Matari Donovan then pushing away from a second defender with Matari Donovan carrying a third defender over the try line to get the ball down ten metres in from the left corner post.

Matari Donovan scored a second try in the 41st minute when after receiving the ball ten metres out and wide out on the left, Matari Donovan stepped off his left foot to easily beat one defender to score under the posts.

Hai Hiawe King started from the bench for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Twelve of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Coomera Cutters and after coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 22nd minute Hai Hiawe King immediately made a line break from a kick-off return with Hai Hiawe King bursting through a number of tackles as he charged into Coomera territory before being brought to ground in front of the posts and twenty nine metres from the try line at the opposite end of the field when where Hai Hiawe King’s run commenced.

In the 29th minute from the left of the play the ball Hai Hiawe King ran onto the ball from forty metres out from the try line and carried the ball within twenty three metres. Then to start the second half Hai Hiawe King made a strong kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty four metre mark.

Hai Hiawe King rounded out a strong match in the 57th minute with a good effort to the right of the play the ball that saw Hai Haiwe King run the ball from thirty five metres out from the try line to sixteen metres out with Hai Hiawe King then able to get an off-load away to his right to Jaylen Taewa.

Daniel Rakena continued at halfback for the Southport Tigers in Round Twelve of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Daniel Rakena kicking two conversions with the first coming in the 19th minute from ten metres to the right of the uprights. Daniel Rakena then kicked his second conversion in the 27th minute from ten metres in from the right touchline.

Daniel Rakena came close to scoring in the 12th minute only to be held up over the try line ten metres to the left of the uprights after a ten metres run that incorporated two left foot steps by Daniel Rakena.

Daniel Rakena also recorded a line break assist in the 27th minute when from the left of the play the ball Daniel Rakena held up the ball perfectly before passing to his left to put his left second rower away downfield.

Junior Filimaua followed up with another strong run in the 6th minute from a Helensvale penalty tap restart from thirty six metres out to get the ball to within nineteen metres of the try line. Then in the 13th minute from the right of the play the ball twenty five metres out from his try line, Junior Filimaua targeted the area behind the play the ball as he carried the ball to within ten metres of the halfway mark.

Junior Filimaua also made a strong run down the left channel in the 29th minute and after commencing his run thirty metres out, Junior Filimaua ran straight over the top of one defender to get the ball to eighteen metres from the try line.

Round Twelve of the GCRL First Grade competition for the Tugun Seahawks against the Currumbin Eagles saw Cooper Camby move to fullback with the positional move a master stroke with Cooper Camby scoring a try and setting up two more for the Seahawks.

Cooper Camby scored in the 33rd minute when after backing up a hit-up from one of his front rowers Cooper Camby received an off-load from his right three metres out to dart over to score five metres to the left of the uprights.

Cooper Camby recorded the first of his try assists in the 19th minute when from the left of the play the ball and six metres out Cooper Camby threw a hard flat cut-out pass to his left to put his winger over to score in the left corner.

Cooper Camby recorded his second try assist in the 68th minute when after receiving the ball two passes to the right of the play the ball Cooper Camby threw a high overhead cut out pass to his right from ten metres out for his winger to dive over to score in the right corner.

Cooper Camby ran the ball well himself in the 25th minute, running the ball down a short left blindside from his own forty metre mark and after being tripped up four metres short of the halfway mark Cooper Camby bounced straight back to his feet as he was not held and was able to get the ball three metres into Currumbin territory.

In the 24th minute Cooper Camby made a good one on one tackle on the Currumbin No. 14 four metres out from the try line and just to the right of the uprights with Cooper Camby able to force a knock-on in the tackle.

In a Hastings Deering’s Colts bye week Jayden Wright lined up for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Twelve of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Tugun Seahawks with Jayden Wright coming off the bench to operate in the front row in the 51st minute with Jayden wright immediately making a kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty metre mark.

The 53rd minute then saw Jayden Wright run an underneath route from the right of the dummy half and get the ball from thirty metres from the try line to nineteen metres out. Then in the 56th minute from two passes to the right of the dummy half Jayden Wright charged onto the ball from his own forty metre mark to get the ball two metres into Tugun territory.

The 61st minute then saw Jayden Wright, from the left of the play the ball and ten metres inside his own territory get the ball seven metres into Seahawks territory. In the72nd minute Jayden Wright made thirteen metres from his own twenty three metre mark and the left of the play the ball, then from the right of the play the ball in the 79th minute Jayden Wright carried the ball from thirty three metres from the try line to twenty one metres out.

Immanuel Kalekale started at lock in Round Twelve of the GCRL First Grade competition for Helensvale against the Southport Tigers with Immanuel Kalekale scoring in just the 4th minute of the match from the right of the play the ball. After receiving the ball sixteen metres from the try line Immanuel Kalekale engaged a Southport defender eight metres out and after shrugging him off Immanuel Kalekale forced his way past two more defenders before carrying three more over the try line with him to get the ball down mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

The 7th minute saw Immanuel Kalekale take a hit-up from twenty one metres out to ten metres out from the left of the play the ball in front of the left upright with Immanuel Kalekale making more good metres in the 28th minute from the left of the play the ball once again to get the ball from fifteen metres out from his own try line to thirty three metres out with at least 65% of Immanuel Kalekale’s metres being post contact with the Tigers defensive line.

Immanuel Kalekale then in the 43rd minute ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half from four metres inside Southport territory to thirty three metres away from the try line.

Earlir in the day in the Round Twelve of the GCRL U20 competition Immanuel Kalekale started at lock also against the Southport Tigers with Immanuel Kalekale with Immanuel Kalekale kicking the first conversion of his senior rugby league career when in the 14th minute Immanuel Kalekale kicked his conversion with a good right foot strike from ten metres to the left of the uprights.

Immanuel Kalekale also scored in the 9th minute when after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball around eleven metres out, Immanuel Kalekale initially had to pause on his run as the ball was passed just behind him, but after securing possession Immanuel Kalekale surged forward and after barging over the top of three hapless defenders Immanuel Kalekale reached out with the ball in his right arm to score next to the uprights.

Earlier in the match Immanuel Kalekale had made the third hit-up of the match from his own thirty metre mark to forty four metres out. 2023 saw Harrison Doherty play for the PBC SHS Walters Cup School Boy Rugby League side including starting at halfback in the Semi-final against Marsden SHS with Harrison Doherty perfect with the boot kicking three conversions and a 10th minute penalty gaol from four metres to the left of the uprights.

Harrison Doherty kicked his initial conversion in the 2nd minute from mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field. Kwinn Wolf started in the front row for PBC SHS in the Walters Cup Semi-final against Marsden SHS with Kwinn Wolf scoring the opening try of the match in just the 2nd minute when from two metres out Kwinn Wolf cut underneath his hooker who had run to his right with Kwinn Wolf crashing over to score mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Reico Ratana continued at right second row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Thirteen of the HDC against the Redcliffe Dolphins and in the 9th minute from the right of the play the ball and forty metres from his own try line Reico Ratana bumped off one defender near the halfway mark after initially juggling the ball to get the ball four metres into Redcliffe territory. Then two tackles later Reico Ratana backed up to take another hit-up making thirteen more metres to get the ball within thirteen metres of the Dolphins try line.

The 21st minute then saw Reico Ratana run onto the ball to the right of the play the ball and make a great run from twenty five metres out from his own try line and get the ball to within four metres of the halfway mark. Reico Ratana proceeded to carry the ball strongly once again in the 30th minute when from the right of the dummy half Reico Ratana ran an underneath route off his halfback and run the ball from thirty five metres from the try line to twenty two metres out.

Reico Ratana produced a smart piece of play in the 46th minute to predict a Redcliffe grubber kick into the in-goal from close range, but Reico Ratan was able to quickly move to his left to retrieve the ball in the in-goal area behind the posts to prevent a Redcliffe try.

Ryan Foran also made the fourth hit-up of the match from the left of the play the ball to get the ball from his own thirty metre mark to within four metres of the halfway mark. The 51st minute then saw Ryan Foran run the ball down the left channel from thirty five metres from the try line to nineteen metres out with 65% of Ryan Foran’s metres being post contact.

Tomasi Vaitai also started at right second row in Round Two against Marsden SHS as well as in Round Three against Redcliffe SHS.

Tomasi Vaitai also started at right second row in Round Four against Caloundra SHS with Tomasi Vaitai made his initial strong run of the match inside the opening minute from a Keebra Park SHS penalty tap restart to get the ball from four metres inside his own territory to twelve metres inside Caloundra SHS territory. Then in the 39th minute Tomasi Vaitai carried the ball to within two metres of the halfway mark after a twenty metre run.

Tomasi Vaitai continued at right second row in Round Five against Wavell SHS with Tomasi Vaitai running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball from his own twenty three metre mark to the forty metre mark.

Then in the 4th minute Jaylen Taewa smashed the Caloundra SHS lock in a big tackle thirty metres from the Caloundra SHS try line with the lock having to take a few minutes to regain his composure.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri also started at left second row in Round Four against Wavell SHS with Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri scoring in the 28th minute with a four metre run into a gap off a good short ball from his inside from Javon Andrews to score midway between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri also recorded a line break assist in the 28th minute when from two passes to the left of a Marsden SHS scrum win Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri engaged the Wavell SHS defensive line and was then bale to get a great right arm around the corner off-load away to his left on his own thirty five metre line to put his left centre away downfield.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri then continued at left second row in Round Five against Redcliffe SHS which was played at Dolphin Oval as an NRL curtain raiser in a match between the Dolphins and Penrith.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri scored for Marsden SHS in the 35th minute when after five eight Javon Andrews had received an off-load he got a quick short ball away to his left to put Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri into space forty four metres out with Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri then charging downfield. Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri then dummied to his left to beat the Redcliffe SHS fullback and race away to score nine metres to the left of the uprights.

Earlier Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri had made the second hit-up of the match to get the ball out to the thirty four metre mark.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri also started at left second row in the Round Six Logan derby against Mabel Park SHS with Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri making sixteen metres down the left channel in the 22nd minute to get the ball to within five metres of the halfway mark with Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri winning a penalty for a strip of the ball with two players in the tackle. After Marsden SHS finished on top of the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup table after the completion of the regular season, Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri started at left second row for Marsden SHS in their Quarter Final clash against Caloundra SHS with Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri scoring a double in a strong Marsden SHS victory.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri scored his opening try in the 26th minute with a seven metre run off a good ball from his inside with Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri getting the ball down six metres in from the left corner post.

Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri scored his second try in the 59th minute when after receiving an off-load sixteen metres from the try line, Cairo Ranganhura-Ruri initially ran to his left before straightening up his run by stepping off his left foot and charging to the try line and score ten metres to the left of the uprights.

Titans contracted Kalani Patu continued at left second row for Keebra Park SHS in the Walters Cup Semi-final against Wavell SHS and in the 15th minute from the left of the play the ball Kalani Patu was able to promote the ball from forty one metres from the try line to twenty nine minutes out.

Earlier in the 3rd minute Kalani Patu executed a huge front on tackle on the Wavell SHS No. 13 forcing a knock on in the centre of the field and eighteen metres from the try line.

In 2023 Titans contracted Izayah Petrichvich moved from Coombabah SHS to Marsden with Izayah Petrichvich starting on the wing in Round One of the 2023 School Boy Langer competition against PBC SHS.

Izayah Petrichvich was then named on the bench for the Round Six Logan School Boy derby against Mabel Park SHS.

Izayah Petrichvich was also named on the bench for Round Seven against Ipswich SHS however a late change saw Izayah Petrichvich start the match on the right wing and inside the opening minute Izayah Petrichvich chased a Marsden SHS bomb towards the right corner with Izayah Petrichvich tackling his opposing winger ten metres out from the Ipswich SHS try line.

Izayah Petrichvich made another good chase in the 25th minute when Izayah Petrichvich chased through a Marsden SHS grubber kick into the in-goal forcing the Ipswich SHS left winger to knock the ball over the dead ball line.

Izayah Petrichvich ran the ball out of dummy half to his right in the 15th minute from the centre of the field and twenty five metres out from his own try line and after getting the ball to within eleven metres of the halfway mark and being tackled by two defenders Izayah Petrichvich got a great left arm off-load away as he was going to ground.

Bailey McConnell was named at five eight for PBC SHS in the Langer Cup Semi-Final against Marsden SHS with Bailey McConnell recording a line break assist in the 26th minute with a good catch and pass to his left in the 26th minute to put his left second rower into a big gap with Sam Stephenson scoring in the left corner after Baylen Donald had been put away by Bailey McConnell.

Bailey McConnell was also heavily involved in Sam Stephenson’s 45th minute try when from the centre of the field twenty metres out Bailey McConnell put up a high bomb to his left with Creedence Donovan making a great catch on the full and then off-loading to his left as he was going to ground to Sam Stephenson who scored in the left corner.

Earlier in the 35th minute Bailey McConnell put up a bomb from the centre of the field towards the left wing with the swirling ball dropped by the Marsden SHS right winger to give PBC SHS a scrum feed ten metres from the try line.

In the 3rd minute from the left of the play the ball Javon Andrews carried the ball from four metres inside his own territory to twelve metres inside PBC SHS territory. Then in the 17th minute Javon Andrews put a big hit on the PBC SHS right second rower near the halfway mark.

Creedence Donovan was named on the left wing for PBC SHS in the Langer Cup Semi-Final against Marsden SHS with Creedence Donovan scoring in the 39th minute when after making a tackle on the Marsden SHS fullback in the in-goal, Creedence Donovan was on hand to grab the ball when it came free to get the ball down three metres to the left of the uprights.

Creedence Donovan also recorded a try assist in the 45th minute when after making a great take of a contested Bailey McConnell bomb on the full around seven metres out, Creedence Donovan did brilliantly to get a right arm off-load away to his left with his back to the try line to Sam Stephenson who was able to dive over to score in the left corner.

After missing a number of matches Titans contracted Ray Puru was named on the bench for PBC SHS in the Langer Cup Semi-Final against Marsden SHS and after coming onto the field to operate at fullback in the 21st minute Ray Puru ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half in the 24th minute to run the ball from his own sixteen metre mark to the thirty three metre mark.

The 25th minute then saw Ray Puru, from the right of the play the ball, get the ball from eighteen metres out to thirty three metres out off a Marsden SHS turnover. In the 55th minute Ray Puru came close to scoring after running an underneath route from twenty metres out with Ray Puru actually getting over the try line before being pushed back into the field of play ten metres to the right of the uprights.

Ray Puru rounded out a great match in the 59th minute with an effort to the right of the play the ball that saw Rya Puru get the ball to within ten metres of the try line after commencing his run from thirty five metres from the try line.

Titans contracted Zane Harrison was named at halfback and captain for PBC SHS in the Langer Cup Semi-Final against Marsden SHS with Zane Harrison kicking two conversions. Zane Harrison kicked his first conversion in the 39th minute to convert Creedence Donovan’s try from three metres to the left of the uprights. Zane Harrison then converted Sam Stephenson’s 45th minute try from the left touchline.

Zane Harrison almost scored himself in the 59th minute with a darting, stepping run from the left of the play the ball twelve metres out with Zane Harrison only tackled centremetres short of the try line three metres to the left of the uprights.

Zane Harrison was simply outstanding leading PBC SHS around the field and directly the play with Zane Harrison’s kicking game also outstanding including a 14th minute bomb to the right side of the field which was too good for the Marsden SHS winger who dropped the ball ten metres out.

Titans contracted Sam Stephenson was named at left centre for PBC SHS in their Langer Cup Semi-Final against Marsden SHS with Sam Stephenson scoring an outstanding double to propel PBC SHS into the Grand Final against Ipswich SHS.

Sam Stephenson scored his first try of the Semi-Final in the 26th minute when Sam Stephenson ran onto a Baylen Donald off-load from six metres out after his left second rower had made a line break to put the ball down three metres in from the left corner post.

Sam Stephenson completed his double to seal the match for PBC SHS in the 45th minute when from the centre of the field twenty metres out Bailey McConnell put up a high bomb to his left with Creedence Donovan making a great catch on the full and then off-loading to his left as he was going to ground to Sam Stephenson who scored in the left corner.

In the 14th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half am Stephenson carried the ball from his own thirty two metre mark to within four metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 33rd minute from the left of the play the ball once again Sam Stephenson was able to carry the ball to within eleven metres of the try line before being awarded a penalty for being held down too long in the tackle.

The 54th minute saw Sam Stephenson run the ball from the halfway mark to thirty eight metres from the try line after taking possession of the ball to the left of the dummy half with Sam Stephenson then being awarded a penalty for being held down too long in the tackle. Sam Stephenson then took the penalty restart, making an additional twelve metres.

Sam Stephenson rounded out an outstanding match in the 59th minute with a run from a PBC SHS twenty metre restart to make fifteen metres against what was a set Marsden SHS defensive line.

After a number of matches with Burleigh Gold Coast Rugby League First grade side Kedan Chan-Tung was back for Burleigh in Round Thirteen of the HDC against the Northern Pride with Kedan Chan-Tun scoring in the 71st minute when after the Northern Pride lost the ball on the Burleigh try line it was picked up by the Bears No. 15 picked up the ball and ran back towards the centre of the field with Kedan Chan-Tung timing his run perfectly to receive the off-load fifteen metres out and in front of the posts with Kedan Chan-Tung then racing eighty five metres while being chased by two defenders to dive over to score seven metres in from the right corner post.

Kedan Chan-Tung also recorded a try assist in the 16th minute when after taking receipt of the ball from the left of a Burleigh scrum win twenty metres out, Kedan Chan-Tung skipped to his left to get away from one defender and after drawing in a second defender Kedan Chan-Tung threw a cut-out pass to his left to Jeremaiah Temapo who after running over the top of his opposing winger slammed the ball down in the left corner.

Kedan Chan-Tung then recorded a second try assist in the 34th minute when to the left of the dummy half Kedan Chan-Tung threw an overhead cut-out pass to put his left centre over to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

Kedan Chan-Tung made it three try assists for the match in the 62nd minute when after backing up a Burleigh line break through the centre of the field, Kedan Chan-Tung received the ball from his right and as he was being dragged down from behind Kedan Chan-Tung off-loaded the ball to his left for his left second rower to score.

Inside the opening minute of the match Kedan Chan-Tung made a good kick-off return to get the ball to twenty two metres out from his own try line after taking possession of the ball ten metres out. Then in the 46th minute Kedan Chan-Tung ran the ball from the left of the dummy half from his own twenty three metres mark to four metres inside Northern Pride territory with Burleigh then awarded a penalty when a support player was tackled without the ball.

The 24th minute from two passes to the right of a Burleigh scrum win from eight metres out from his own try line saw Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu run the ball down the right touchline to get the ball twenty four metres away from the try line.

Then in the 25th minute from the right of the play the ball Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu ran onto the ball from thirty nine metres from the try line with Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu breaking two tackles and off-loading the ball to his right when he had reached twenty two metres from the try line.

Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu took another run in the 43rd minute from the right of the play the ball once again to carry the ball from twenty six metres from his own try line to the forty metres mark inside Burleigh territory.

Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu then made twenty metres downfield after picking up a dropped Northern Pride ball on his own forty metre mark and forced his way ten metres into Northern Pride territory.

Titans contracted Jeremaiah Temapo started on the left wing for the Burleigh Bears in Round Thirteen of the HDC against the Northern Pride with Jeremaiah Temapo scoring in the 16th minute when after receiving a cut-out pass from his inside from Kedan Chan-Tung when twelve metres out from the try line Jeremaiah Temapo held off his opposing winger with his left arm and after spinning counter clockwise as he was being slung to ground, Jeremaiah Temapo was able to not just maintain his balance but to propel himself over the try line to slam the ball down in the left corner.

In the 10th minute of the match Jeremaiah Temapo ran onto the ball to the left of the play the ball to propel the ball from his own twenty three metre mark to thirty five metres out from the try line. Then in the 14th minute after running onto the ball to the left of a Burleigh scrum win fifteen metres out from his own try line was able to get the ball to the forty metre mark, breaking four tackles on the journey with 75% of Jeremaiah Temapo’s metres being post his contact with the Northern Pride defensive line.

Jeremaiah Temapo took another run of the ball to the left of the dummy half in the 26th minute to get the ball from twenty metres out from his own try line to thirty two metres out. Jeremaiah Temapo then rounded out a strong game with a 68th minute effort from the left of the play the ball to carry the ball from his own twenty metre mark to thirty eight metres out.

Joseph Shannon then started in the front row in Round Thirteen against the Northern Pride with Joseph Shannon recording a try assist in the 20th minute when after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball, Joseph Shannon ran the ball to ten metres from the try line and just prior to engaging the defenders Joseph Shannon threw a short pass to his left to put his front row partner TJ Devery into a big gap and subsequently over to score next to the left upright.

Joseph Shannon had a strong match from the opening seconds including making the opening two tackles of the match. Then also in the opening minute of the match Joseph Shannon ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half from forty three metres out from the try line to twenty eight metres out.

The 15th minute saw Joseph Shannon run onto the ball to the right of the dummy half and bash and crash his way including a counter clockwise spin to carry the ball to within four metres of the try line directly in front of the posts.

Joseph Shannon continued his strong match in the 19th minute running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half from his own thirty five metres mark to within five metres of the halfway mark with Joseph Shannon then getting a left arm off-load away to his right whilst he was facing his own try line.

The 50th minute then saw Joseph Shannon carry the ball from thirty metres from the try line to twelve metres out after Joseph Shannon had taken possession of the ball by way of an off-load from a team mate.

Joseph Shannon got yet another off-load away in the 53rd minute when after running onto the ball from the left of the dummy half on the halfway mark, Joseph Shannon made eight metres before getting a left arm off-load away to his right.

Perhaps Joseph Shannon’s best run of the match arrived in the 68th minute with a strong run from the right of the play the ball from thirty eight metres out. After taking possession of the ball Joseph Shannon targeted the area behind the play the ball to get the ball six metres inside Northern Pride territory.

Ayden Byrnes had done well two minutes earlier in the 15th minute to take a short Bilambil goal line drop-out on the full with Ayden Byrnes also being awarded a penalty for being tackled whilst still in the air.

Ayden Byrnes also made a strong tackle in the 19th minute on the Jets replacement front rower No. 18 with Ayden Byrnes driving him five metres backwards to the Jets thirty metre mark.

Micah Leaupepe Perkins recorded his second try in the 54th minute twenty five metres out from the try line and after receiving the ball from his inside after the Seagulls had spun the ball to their left, Micah Leaupepe Perkins continued to run the ball to his left and after being grabbed by his jersey b the Giants right winger still fourteen metres from the try line, Micah Leaupepe Perkins dragged him along for the ride as he scored in the left corner.

Micah Leaupepe Perkins also recorded a 50th minute try assist as a result of a long cut out pass that Micah Leaupepe Perkins threw to his left for his winger to score easily in the corner.

After Murwillumbah had failed to find touch from a penalty in the 50th minute Creedence Donovan picked the ball up near the left touchline eighteen metres out from his own try line with Creedence Donovan then making a line break down the same touchline to get the ball thirty metres out on the opposing end of the field.

From the left of the play the ball near the centre of the field in the 51st minute and forty metres out from the Jets try line with nothing happening Creedence Donovan received the ball whilst stationary and exploded off the mark before putting in a short right foot chip kick over the defensive line for himself and after retrieving the ball on the bounce and raced to within fifteen metres of the try line but unfortunately Creedence Donovan’s pass to his left was knocked down by a Mustangs defender.

Bo Peisley started at halfback for the Murwillumbah Mustangs in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Bilambil Jets with Bo Peisley scoring a try, kicking three conversions from four attempts and a penalty goal in the 46th minute from three metres to the left of the uprights. Bo Peisley kicked the first of his three conversions in the 9th minute to convert his own try from ten metres to the right of the uprights. Bo Peisley kicked his second conversion from in front of the posts in the 24th minute before kicking an outstanding conversion from the left touchline in the 33rd minute.

As noted Bo Peisley scored in the 9th minute when after receiving the ball from the dummy half from his left when ten metres out from the try line and just to the right of the goal posts, Bo Peisley initially dummied to his right before running himself to score ten metres to the right of the uprights and as previously noted Bo Peisley then converted his own try.

Bo Peisley also recorded a line break assist in the 48th minute with a cut out pass from the right of the play the ball to his winger and after receiving Bo Peisley’s pass the right winger was able to make a line break down the touchline.

Bo Peisley ran the ball well himself in the 44th minute with a darting run from the right of the dummy half and five metres inside his own territory to get the ball thirteen inside Bilambil territory.

In the 28th minute from the left side of the field harry Chadburn put up a high bomb back towards the right with the ball taken on the full by Creedence Donovan less than a metre from the try line but the fullback was unable to get the ball over the try line.

Gary Whare-Herlihy scored in the 4th minute with a thirty five metre run down the right touchline to put the ball down four metres in from the right corner post after Gary Whare-Herlihy had started the movement that led to his own try.

Kyhan Weir continued from the bench for Tweed Heads in Round Fourteen of the HDC against the Northern Pride with Kyhan Weir scoring in the 42nd minute when Kyhan Weir crashed over from close range and from the left of the play the ball to get the ball down six metres of the right of the goal posts.

Kyhan Weir also recorded a try assist in the 53rd minute when after getting to within four metres of the try line after a fourteen metres run Kyhan Weir was able to get an off-load away to his right which was picked up on the bounce by Elliott Speed to score six metres to the right of the uprights.

Kyhan Weir had come onto the field to operate in the front row in the 26th minute and immediately made a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty two metre mark. Then in the 37th minute from a kick-off return Kyhan Weir promoted the ball to eh twenty five metre mark.

Kyhan Weir made a further good kick-off return in the 41st minute from the second half kick-off to get the ball to the twenty six metre mark and then in the 42nd minute this time from a Northern Pride goal line drop-out Kyhan Weir got the ball from forty metres out to twenty one metres out.

Reico Ratana started at right second row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Fourteen of the HDC against the Northern Pride with Reico Ratana scoring in the 46th minute off an Oskar Bryant pass from his left with Reico Ratana receiving the ball four metres out and getting over the try line ten metres in from the right corner post.

Reico Ratana also recorded a try assist in the 10th minute when from the right of the play the ball, Reico Ratana continued to run the ball in the same direction and after drawing a Northern Pride defender out of the defensive line Reico Ratana off-loaded the ball to his right to give Jaylen Dr Groot an easy ten metre run to score ten metres in from the right corner post.

Earlier in the 4th minute Reico Ratana made a line break when he ran onto a catch and pass from his inside from Max Liles twenty four metres only to be brought down by the Northern Pride fullback two metres out after stepping inside off his left foot to beat the Northern Pride fullback. The Seagulls however were able to then score off Reico Ratana’s quick play the ball.

Reico Ratana made another line break in the 32nd minute from a Tweed Heads penalty restart with Reico Ratana bursting straight through the centre of the Northern Pride defensive line from ten metres inside his own territory before being tackled twenty metres from the try line.

The 22nd minute saw Reico Ratana run the ball down the right channel from forty two metres to thirty metres out from the try line. Then in the 27th minute from two passes to the right of the dummy half, Reico Ratana carried the ball from his forty metre mark to the halfway before getting an off-load away to his right to Elliott Speed.

Max Liles also recorded a try assist in the 4th minute when after moving into dummy half with the play the ball two metres from the try line on the right side of the field Max Liles skipped to his right and threw a hard flat ball to his left to Jotham Russell who crashed over to score five metres to the right of the uprights.

Max Liles was in fact the reason that the Seagulls were attacking so close to the try line as from the play earlier two passes to the right of the play the ball twenty four metres out, Max Liles executed a good catch and pass to his right to put Reico Ratana into a big gap with Max Liles tracking the play to move into dummy half and record the try assist after Reico Ratana was tackled just shy of the try line.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu then moved back to left centre in Round Ten against Aspley.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu scored twice in the GBJRL U15 Division One regular season being in Round Nine against Redcliffe and Round Ten against Aspley.

2023 saw Titans contracted Corey Pearce move to the Waterford Demons in the GBJRL Nev Blair Shield U17 Division One competition with Corey Pearce making his first appearance for the Demons in Round Three when he started at hooker against the Morten Bay Raiders. Corey Pearce went on to make a further six appearance for Waterford starting all at hooker.

Corey Pearce finished the 2023 Nev Blair Shield U17 Division One regular season as the competitions equal fifth leading try scorer with ten metres and equal seventh leading points scorer with fifty two points from those ten tries and an additional four conversions and two penalty gaols.

Corey Pearce scored a hat trick in Round Nine against Aspley and scored doubles in Round Eight against Beenleigh, Round Twelve against Wynnum Manly and Round Thirteen against Souths. Corey Pearce rounded out his ten tries with a try in Round Seven against his former team.

Corey Pearce kicked three conversions in Round Nine against Aspley and also kicked a conversion and his two penalty goals in Round Three against Moreton Bay.

Corey Pearce’s best match from an individual points scoring perspective come when he scored eighteen points from three tries and three conversions in Round Nine against Aspley.

Then in the 42nd minute after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball Nicholas Hilton carried the ball from twenty seven metres from the try line to twelve metres out including spinning counter clockwise twice in quick succession, Nicholas Hilton got a right arm flick off-load away out the back to Tanu Nona who was able to get within a metre of the try line.

Bailey McConnell forced an Ipswich SHS goal line drop-out in the 41st minute when a towering bomb from Bailey McConnell from thirty eight metres out initially looked too long but the ball bounced high in the in-goal area to force the Ipswich SHs fullback to have to try to run the ball out but was caught in-goal by the PBC SHS kick chase.

Bailey McConnell forced a second Ipswich SHS goal line drop-out in the 53rd minute when from the left of the play the ball and twenty three metres out, Bailey McConnell put a right foot chip over the top of the defensive line into the in-goal with the Ipswich SHS fullback forced to take the ball over the dead ball line.

Bailey McConnell made the tackle of the Grand Final in the 57th minute with a magnificent try saving cover defending tackle on the Ipswich SHS right winger who had made a long line break from inside his own territory. It looked as if the Ipswich SHS centre was going to score but Bailey McConnell came from the clouds to bring him down from behind less than a metre from the try line.

Titans contracted Sam Stephenson started at left centre for PBC SHS in the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup Grand Final against Ipswich SHS with Sam Stephenson making a line break inside the opening two minutes of the Grand Final when from ten metres inside his own territory Sam Stephenson broke a tackle and surged down the left touchline to get to thirty metres from the try line.

Sam Stephenson also made a good run in the 10th minute from the left of a PBC SHS scrum win to get the ball out to twenty metres from his own try line after taking possession of the ball just six metres out. Then in the 38th minute Sam Stephenson made nineteen metres down the left channel to get to within eight metres of the try line. Sam Stephenson made more metres down the left channel in the 52nd minute to carry the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to seven metres inside Ipswich SHS territory.

Titans contracted Nelson Makaafi started at right second row for PBC SHS in the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Walters Cup Grand Final against Wavell SHS with Nelson Makaafi being the best player on the field as PBC SHS won the Grand Final 12 – 8.

Nelson Makaafi made his initial run of the match in the 3rd minute from the right of the play the ball from eighteen metres from the try line to within five metres, then in the 14th minute from the right of the dummy half once gain Nelson Makaafi was able to promote the ball from thirty two metres from the try line to eleven metres out.

From the right of the play the ball in the 22nd minute Nelson Makaafi made a strong yardage carry to get the ball from twelve metres from his own try line to twenty six metres out. The 33rd minute then saw Nelson Makaafi carry the ball through the centre of the field to within nine metres of the try line from the right of the play the ball with Nelson Makaafi initially taking possession of the ball twenty eight metres out.

From the right of the play the ball in the 37th minute Nelson Makaafi charged onto the ball from thirty metres from his own try line to four metres of the halfway mark then to round out an exceptionally Grand Final performance Nelson Makaafi made twenty metres down the right channel from eighteen metres from his own try line to thirty eight metres out.

Nelson Makaafi did well in the 25th minute to chase through a PBC SHS attacking grubber kick into the in-goal to affect a tackle on the fullback to force a Wavell SHS goal line drop-out.

Titans contracted Zane Harrison started at halfback and captain for PBC SHS in the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup Grand Final against Ipswich SHS with Zane Harrison kicking two outstanding conversions, the first coming from the left touchline in the 32nd minute to convert Creedence Donovan’s try in the left corner and the second from the right touchline in the 48th minute to convert Sunny Kama’s second try of the Grand Final.

Zane Harrison also forced an Ipswich SHS goal line drop-out in the 46th minute when from the left of the play the ball Zane Harrison put a right foot grubber kick into the in-goal area from around ten metres out with the Ipswich SHS defender forced to knock the ball over the dead ball line.

In the 4th minute of the Grand Final, from the right of the play the ball Zane Harrison made a stepping and darting run down a short right blindside to get within four metres of the try line after Zane Harrison took possession of the ball twenty metres out.

Creedence Donovan started on the left wing for PBC SHS in the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup Grand Final against Ipswich SHS with Creedence Donovan scoring in the 32nd minute when after running the ball down a short left blindside from twelve metres out Bailey McConnell was able to get partway through the defensive line before throwing a right arm pass to his left and after the ball was knocked into the in-goal by an Ipswich SHS defender PBC SHS left winger Creedence Donovan was there to dive on the ball to score in the corner to get PCB SHS back into the match.

Creedence Donovan also made a line break in the 28th minute when after running out of dummy half to his right when thirty metres out from his own try line, Creedence Donovan was able to get on the outside of the Ipswich SHS left side defence and make a line break down the right touchline and get the ball five metres into Ipswich SHS territory.

Creedence Donovan did exceptionally well in the 43rd minute when after taking a PBC SHS bomb towards his wing on the full around four metres from the try line on the last tackle, Creedence Donovan immediately put in a right foot grubber kick into the in-goal from four metres out, Creedence Donovan was awarded a penalty for being interfered with as he attempt to chase his own kick with the Ipswich SHS player involved being sent to the sin bin for ten minutes.

The 4th minute saw Creedence Donovan take an Ipswich SHS long clearing kick on the full thirty metres out from his own try line with Creedence Donovan then making a kick-off return that saw him return the ball to the halfway mark.

Creedence Donovan made an impressive try saving tackle in the 9th minute on the Ipswich SHS right centre who had broken away down the touchline but Creedence Donovan came across field to take the centre over the left touchline around two metres from the try line.

Titans contracted Sunny Kama started on the right wing for PBC SHS in the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup Grand Final against Ipswich SHS with Sunny Kama scoring two key second half tries to propel PBC SHS in a come from behind 16 – 12 Grand Final victory.

Sunny Kama scored the first of his two tries in the 38th minute when after receiving a pass from his left from Ray Puru when six metres out and on the right touchline, Sunny Kama was initially able to “freeze” his opposing winger before stepping off his right foot to get on his inside and get the ball down five metres in from the right corner post.

Sunny Kama completed his Grand Final double in the 48th minute with an acrobatic diving effort after a six metre run to score in the right corner.

Sunny Kama’s initial impact on the Grand Final came inside the opening minute with a carry from the right of the play the ball from eighteen metres out from his own try line to within eight metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 14th minute from the left of the play the ball Sunny Kama made twelve metres from his own twenty eight metre mark to the forty metre mark.

The 46th minute then saw Sunny Kama run the ball from a PBC SHS penalty restart to get from thirty metres out from his own try line to forty six metres out. Then in the 52nd minute from a PBC SHS twenty metre restart Sunny Kama ran to his right and was able to make thirteen metres out from the thirty three metre mark.

Sunny Kama produced one of the plays of the Grand Final in the 55th minute when with Ipswich SHS chasing the game they put a kick into the in-goal behind Sunny Kama, but after turning a chasing the ball back into the in-goal under heavy pressure, Sunny Kama was able to slide on his knees to take the ball cleanly in the in-goal and keep his body shape low as the Ipswich SHS chasers going straight over the top of him. Sunny Kama then smartly rose to his feet and carry the ball thirty metre downfield.

Titans contracted Ray Puru also started from the bench in the 2023 School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup Grand Final against Ipswich SHS and after coming onto the field to operate at fullback in the 21st minute Ray Puru turned the match in its head with a scintillating performance.

Ray Puru incredible second half included a try assist in the 38th minute when after receiving the ball down a short right blindside six metres from the try line Ray Puru double pumped a pass to his right to Sunny Kama who stepped inside his opposing winger to score in the right corner.

Ray Puru also recorded a line break in the 37th minute when Ray Puru came forward off his own try line to take an Ipswich SHS grubber kick on the fly ten metres from his own try line and burst past two Ipswich SHS chasers with Ray Puru running downfield to get the ball twelve metres inside Ipswich SHS territory.

Earlier in the 23rd minute Ray Puru ran the ball from a PBC SHS penalty tap restart to get the ball to the thirty two metre mark. Then after taking an Ipswich SHS kick on the full ten metres out from his own try line Ray Puru ran the ball to his left to get the ball out to the twenty six metre mark.

The 46th minute saw Rya Puru ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half and get to within ten metres of the try line after initiating his run thirty one metres out. Also in the 50th minute from the left of the play the ball Ray Puru carried the ball from his own twenty metre mark to within five metres of the halfway mark.

Ray Puru rounded out an outstanding match in the 44th minute with a run from ten metres inside his own territory to ten metres into Ipswich SHs territory from the left of the play the ball once again.

After missing a number of HDC matches through both injury and playing in the Queensland Cup Jaylan De Groot returned to the Tweed Heads Seagulls Hastings Deering’s Colts side (minus the head gear) at right centre in Round Fourteen against the Northern Pride with Jaylen De Groot celebrated his return by scoring a first half double in a big Seagulls victory.

Jaylan De Groot scored his opening try in the 10th minute with a comfortable ten metre run to put the ball down ten metres in from the right corner post after running onto a good ball from his inside from Reico Ratana.

Jaylan De Groot completed his double in the 18th minute with a ninety metre intercept to score untouched under the posts.

Jaylan De Groot came close to recording a hat trick only to be held up over the try line ten metres in from the right corner post after a ten metre running effort.

Then in the 22nd minute after picking up a lost ball by the Northern Pride twenty seven metres out from his own try line, Jaylan De Groot raced down the right touchline to the thirty five metre mark at the opposite end of the field.

Earlier in just the 2nd minute of the match from the left of the play the ball Jaylan De Groot was able to carry the ball from his own forty metre mark to six metres into Northern Pride territory. Then in the 56th minute after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball Jaylan De Groot carried the ball from his own thirty four metre mark to the halfway mark.

In the 71st minute once again from the right of the play the ball Jaylan De Groot was able to get away down the right touchline to get within ten metres of the try line after commencing his run twenty six metres out.

Impressively Jaylan De Groot finished the match with 190 running metres and four tackle breaks.

In 2023 Edward Kara moved over to the Gold Coast and Edward Kara was a late addition to the Tweed Heads Seagulls 2023 U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad with Edward Kara named on the Seagulls extended bench for Round Two (the Seagulls had a Round One bye) against the Brisbane Tigers.

2023 was not the first occasion that Edward Kara had made a representative side with Edward Kara named in the 2019 Te Mahurehure Maori Tamariki Rugby League U12 side. Also in 2017 Edward Kara was named in the Te Mahurehure Tamariki U10 Ten’s Rugby League side.

2023 saw Edward Kara start the season as part of the Tweed Heads Seagulls U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad before transitioning to club and school boy rugby league on the Gold Coast.

Edward Kara also played Oztag in 2023 with Edward Kara named in the 2023 Queensland Schools Oztag Year Ten Boys All Stars School Merit Team.

Round One of the 2023 School Boy Renouf Cup competition saw Denzel Silby start on the wing in Round One for Keebra Park SHS against Wavell SHS. Denzel Silby also started on the wing for Round Two against Ipswich SHS as well as in Round Three against Marsden SHS.

Denzel Silby then moved to the bench for Round Four against Redcliffe SHS with Denzel Silby scoring a great solo try in the 33rd minute when after receiving the ball to the left of the play the ball around thirty three metres from the try line, Denzel Silby exploded through the Redcliffe SHS defensive line and just kept going to score nine metres to the left of the uprights.

Denzel Silby then started at lock in Round Five against Wavell SHS before moving to five eight in the Round Seven Gold Coast School Boy derby against PBC SHS.

Denzel Silby also played Oztag in 2023 with Denzel Silby named in the 2023 Super Series Queensland Rebels U14 Representative squad. Denzel Silby was also named in the 2023 Queensland Schools Oztag Year Eight All Stars School Merit Team.
