Second-rower Chris Heighington and stand-in five-eighth Daniel Fitzhenry scored two tries each.

Other tryscorers were Shane Elford, Liam Fulton, Ben Galea, Bronson Harrison, and new recruit Jamaal Lolesi.

Wests Tigers led 26-0 at half-time before going on with the job as expected in the second half.

Warren McDonnell, Wests Tigers recruitment manager, said it was a strong first-up performance by the NRL premiers.

?It was a good team display. The new players went well,?? McDonnell said.
?The first half was tough with the heat, but the second half was a really good hit out. The most pleasing part was that there were no injuries.??
